Dear Nuwan, could you help me by some advices ? i want to reuse a classic magnetron from an oven to excite some gases radially. In this way, i plan to fix a coaxial rod to the magnetron. this rod/antenna will be surrounded by a quartz tube which will be filled with gases. So gases will be directly in contact with the excited rod/antenna. I try to understand why in some case the antenna in separated from gases by a glass tube. So sometimes gases are outside the glass tube and other time gases are inside the glass tube vlose to the rod/antenna.. what is the difference between these 2 mounting ? Thanks for your help. David
I dont know exactly my understanding is correct or wrong. But to my knowledge, this can be explained as follows. Please refer In this case, magnetron uses the connected rod to excite gases surrounded by quartz. When gases are excited they have a high energy level and when collide with other particles they can easily release energy into those particles. Hence, if we keep the rod touching gases directly, the rod can easily corrode with time. Hence, it is better to use a glass tube to cover the rod, to increase the durability and accuracy of the experiment. This can depend on the material of the rod as well as the gas that is used.
Gases will be hydrogen with nitrogen 50/50 maybei should use the more higher first inonization ernergy as metal to do the rod, iron, nickel, or better tellure, platinum, gold.. something like that ? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionization_energies_of_the_elements_(data_page)

Sir how to calculate high and low impedance value?
Those are calculated based on coupling factor, please check the example in the ppt.
promosm
ρɾσɱσʂɱ
Is this for Communications system
No.This is for Signal & System 2 for tech batch.
Please use following term to calculate instantaneous frequencyf(t)=fc + kpm(t)/2pi.At that point i am forgeting that 2pi term.
