This is a basic and low-effort UV mapping of car mods in Assetto Corsa. It is an easy way to have an AO Map for your mods and get you started on something nice.

think i'm missing something. i export and it gives me a blank DDS. even if i save as png it's just black. tried going in an exporting a custom one. same thing. 😮💨
man, wish wouldnt of sped up the part where you fix textures in kseditor.
can u help me with only one wheel has the right textures. the other 3 are just dull and dark colored as the one i copied and put in the tires is nice shiny and all chrome when load into kseditor & assetto. also front wheels dont roll nor turn left or right. any help... thanks

yo so when i try to unpack kn5 it just doesnt show anything just update ambient shadow under tools and nothing else
why after exporting my wheel didnt stay in place? it moves to the original position when i imported it

Hey have a question, at 6:08 i don't understand from where do you got the shader values so you can put the values in the kseditor? I put .fbx rims on a car etc but dont got the shader values or textures from the rim
got the rim model from acmp which is a discord server purely related to ac modding. they upload stuff with shader values included sometimes

would you know why i cant shift click to move parts in blender i've tried multiple methods of wheel swapping and seem to be having no luck with good method
when i export it where do i export it to as it wont overwrite the other fbx and as of that the ao wont change

bro its all fine untill i put it on keditor. It has no texture so i have to put them manually ad i wasn't the oe creatig the car so i cat fid the correct file for so may things! Any suggetion?
Hi, love the video. Just having a problem. I've projected from view for one side but when I select the other side and project from view the first side disappears, and basically it just goes back and forth and I can't get both side at the same time

sorry, i have no idea. try unpacking again and see if it's still the same. try also unpacking other cars to see if it's a general problem or only to the specific car ur trying to extract.
what happens if the vertices is over the limit of 66k for kseditor? is there any other way to convert it
determine what's the name of the object that is over the tris limit then go back to blender and try to seperate the object into two pieces then export again to ks
Hi, I'm encountering a problem with scaling: no matter the value in Blender, the exported kn5 looks fine, but in game and in CM Showroom with "Align using data" the wheels are at the original size, not scaled. What could be possibly causing this issue? Thank you and great tutorial. 😉
Try unpacking the car while the 'Align using data' is enabled in showroom so that you'll get the fbx model based off of the data file of the car. Also, try importing first the car itself before the rim you're gonna use then export to overwrite the original fbx file in 0.01 scale.
@@toastedbagel9095 Thank you, I'll try what you're suggesting. This happens even if I scale the existing wheel, without importing parts. I started what you suggested, unpacking with "Align using data" and importing the car, but something came to my mind, I tried it and it worked: before I was scaling the whole object (for example "Wheel_LR") instead of the single parts inside of it and I've just tried using one method on one wheel and the other on the opposite, and the wheel made of individually scaled parts is looking right both in game and CM Showroom, the other one isn't. Is this a normal behavior? Have you ever encountered anything like this?
@@ereisenheim9896 Ahh yes, that explains the problem. If you need to adjust the scale of the wheel, adjust it by the object itself, not through the dummy object which is the WHEEL_XX if that's what you're trying to say. The problem starts when you adjust the scale of the dummies because the original scale value of 1 changed. If the game reads that the dummies' (WHEEL_XX) scale is less than 1 then it automatically change it to 1 making it apper bigger and vice versa making it appear smaller in game.
@@ereisenheim9896 Double check the scale of the dummies in ksEditor before exporting as kn5. Make sure all dummies are set to 1, 1, 1 scale value
@@toastedbagel9095 Yes, yes that's exactly what I meant and what I was doing. In ksEditor they seam to be all set to 1,1,1. Another problem I have: duplicating one wheel or rim and using it on the 4 corners, after renaming, doesn't work for me. (I always end up with some kind of problem, be textures, shadows, or else). Could it be something related to parts names and textures?

I have an issue in kseditor. It say "error: object advan has no material attached". I checked all the rims and it fit perfectly in tire model. how to fix it ? the rim is a 3d model of sa3r the first version with one bolt.
apply a material in blender before exporting and importing in kseditor

car i tried to do has no unpack or encrypted data? so down to learn this but its so annoying trying to find a car i can mod lol
there a lots of public and free to modify cars on the internet. maybe it's just that one you use encrypted by the author.
question....if i add a stupid amount of camber (visually in blender) ...will that have an effect on physics or are physics purley in the cars data files with the torque and gear ratios etc?
the physics will depend on the setup ingame or in setup.ini data file afaik

yo i have problems with blurred rims. pretty much my rims disappear when they hit a speed more than 50kmh
Try deleting all of the data/text inside blurred_something.ini in the data folder because maybe you dont have the blurred objects in the model and still has its data.
pc broke and i don't do mods anymore so i basically don't remember basic stuffs now. pls refer your problems to the other comments :))
hey when i export from blender my car is fully black no textures no color nothing
Import the fbx file in blender from the unpacked folder when doing stuff then export it inside the unpacked folder overwriting the original one so that ksEditor will read the texture from the texture folders and the persistence file of the model.
@@toastedbagel9095 yeah thats what i did like for 30 times. I equiped textures in cm but windows and other glass is not transperant how could i make it transparant?
@@evmedia8706 by changing the shader settings. you can find a video about glass shader settings. basically you set ksTransparent to true and change the shader option to ksAlphaBlend iirc.
