So I really liked Linkara's Analog Horror movie Winter of 83, and i thought it may be fun to do an AMV with it's DVD trailer. Based off of a friend's suggestion, I mainly used the anime The Case of Hana & Alice, as they felt that the rotoscoped characters would make a good fit for the analog horror vibes. What I love about this one is that it shows not just a bunch of space battles, I have seen lots of those in AMV's, usually the same few scenes over and over again, but also plot moments, the battle on the yamato when Desler boards it and Mori getting shot, the crew sharing a toast, Yamamato and Merda swimming together, Merda sitting on the yamato staring at Garmillas, Mori being brought back from the dead, Mori and err, whoever that is hugging, It shows a lot more emotion and characters than just a big series of ships exploding and I think it is beautifully done as well. Truly remarkable from a channel with less than 1000 subscribers.
