    I had to change the case on my fathers car, but I found the replacement cases on line were very tight fitting in the cars slot reader almost to the point of jamming, did you have anything like this happen to you when you tried it?

      Mine fitted ok. I guess it's just luck since all of these are cheap chinese knock-offs. Maybe you could sand down a bit the back plastic with some 1500-2000 sandpaper.

    Hello, thanks for the info,... Please Do You know what are the 4 red small "dots or circles" around the coil? (at 3:00) Thanks

      I think that might be just some plastic to keep the coil wire in place so it doesn't come loose.

    Very useful . Thank you. What does the emergency metal key do ?

      @puntastic5710 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its for opening the doors when the battery dies. The new spare metal key will need to be copied. Last time I tried to use the emergency key to lock the doors without setting the alarm, the metal key didn't work. I came here because my car is giving the error of keycard not recognised

    My daughters 2015 Clio has a similar problem, but the Card unlocks the doors and ignition comes on but that’s all, start button does nothing. There is something loose inside, I can hear rattling about and was going to take in into the main dealer. I’ll try your solution at the weekend, thanks.

    I have the sam problem. I can lock the car, turno on the lights, and open a trunk with the keycard. But I cannot unlock the car. I use than a physical key to enter the car. The keycard is definitely not recognised and I cannot start the car regardless if the keycard is in the slot or not. When I place it in the slot it just says that the card is not recognized. I opened the keycard and checked the soldered joints of the coil but they are ok. I checked it also with the multimeter and the coil seems to work (ofcourse with the battery connected). Test? We have one single solder point on one side and the other two on the bottom. Both bottom joints give the signal of the short circuit whe I test it with the single one. Am I doing something wrong or is som othe component of the key card broken? Thanks!

      You only have one key ? Have you tried pushing the coil gently up from below to see if any solder joints are loose ? That could trick you a bit while testing on a table and they look fine. But a bad coil wouldn't affect the buttons. Do the door locks make any sound when pushing the button ? I had a problem a few years ago where I couldn't lock the car but that was a faulty electronic module inside the door panel and it was replaced on warranty.

      @@danfixesthings778 All joints are soldered. Checked with multimeter. The key does not work now att all.

      @ that's unfortunate, I don't know how that could be fixed, maybe it's time for a new key

      @@danfixesthings778 One more question. Is it a problem if the board stays longer time without power?

    • @danfixesthings778
      @danfixesthings778 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ I wouldn't think that. My spare key was without a battery for like 1-2 years and still worked ok when I put a new battery in it.
