(also YT keeps deleting this comment for some reason) Yeah, leave it up to Hudson to come up with an interesting concept that has potential like bomb jumping, only to never really iterate on or improve it. The encounter with Gray at the end of Lillie's route strikes me as an illusion fabricated by Void Lord Add's lingering spirit (you know, insomuch as she meaningfully differs from Gray, really...). After reflecting on her own memories (as we see with the flashbacks to Lillie conversing with Freya), Lillie simply finds it in herself to forgive Gray anyway, and the verbal contract she suggests to the Court being both a heartfelt prayer for Gray AND exactly what she needs to say to free the biological mother she never knew the circumstances of is entirely accidental & coincidental, and that mind-bogglingly fortuitous coincidence being the case is why the Judge/Erasure reacts with such elation.

Awesome video. I've played zeroranger but I didn't know this was made by the same devs. Might have to give it a try.

I had the incredible fortune to play this game with two friends. Each of us on discord sharing our screen while we went through the levels. Each of us at one point or another managed to stumble upon end game mechanics by mistake, we would be playing, joking around and trying to decipher the lore when you would hear one of us start screaming randomly "GUYS LOOK AT THIS", "WOAH, how did you do that?", "I don't know I was just doing x and...." we would figure it out then later we would find the 'hints' to those secrets and we would smugly say "ah, the thing we already knew, we got this guys". We went step by step, level my level, writing down dialog, secrets, and suspicious things that we didn't know how to solve. We tested, we replayed and by the end we had discovered 90% of the secrets and lore the game had to share. It was one of the best gaming experiences of my life.

Hey man, I watched like 15 minutes of this because I really enjoy your editing style. I knew a little about the game before but never had any interest in trying it out because puzzle games just don't vibe with me, but hearing you talk about it sold me on it, so I stopped watching and started playing it. I'm still on my first playthrough but I'm enjoying it a lot, the puzzles aren't as hard or annoying as I thought they'd be and the music is fucking fantastic. I'll definitely finish watching the video once I feel satisfied and I've experienced enough of the game. Cheers

19:53 Yep, this is my biggest criticism. This is one of my favorite games ever, but goddamn are you right about the ending shitting the bed. I actually really enjoyed the story through Gray and Lillie's playthroughs, but the true ending.......... like wtf was that convoluted out of left field BS. Did not feel satisfying at all, and essentially retconned the parts of the story that I did like. They also kinda did nothing with some of the bigger reveals. Left me with a sour taste after was a master piece of a game, so I'm choosing to pretend that the "true" route doesn't exist.
