Howdy, and welcome to my channel!
My name is Tucker, and I'm glad you stopped by.
This channel is mostly dedicated to my hobbies I enjoy. It includes quite a lot of summer & winter activities.
I was a member of both The Spartans and The Cadets Drum & Bugle corps, and I am a life long skier.
When I started this TH-cam channel, I just wanted to simply document everything I had done in years prior. I can happily say that it has far exceeded that in many ways!
If you like what I do and enjoy watching my videos, subscribe for more cool stuff. I am always looking for great ideas and suggestions while making videos throughout the years!

Nice scenery, but I'd like to see some skiing.
Geez, I was hoping for the fastest downhill run yet. But no, just a good look at a ski lift. Hey, let's go on with a blurring downhill race?
It looks like the lift is running at 820 fpm. What’s the max speed it can run on diesel?
Thanks for the video. I no longer can ski because of my knees. I used to ski Cashier to Silverthorne a lot in my younger years. This brought back good memories.
I consider Cashier to be a Mercury SuperChair trail since it actually starts up there.
Nice ride. Almost like being there!
Looks like fun. Reminds me of skiing Wildcat Mtn in New Hampshire, but I couldn't ski near as well as you. I was getting close, but work took precedence over fun.
Nice run. Love these top to bottom nonstop videos. Great scenery too.
@@garydodson3858 glad you like them! 4 more trail videos are in the works.
So relaxing to watch 😌
There's something you don't see every day. 😅😂
Particularly on the lower stretch, you can see many of the quad's tower foundations just uphill of the current foundations.
Was this on the 16th?
@@eliethridge5969 nope, 15th. It was the first day Quicksilver was open!
ALL US Ski Resorts Lifts SUCK! OTHER Than BIG SKY RESORT Who Is Leading The Way In NEW MODERN SAFE, FAST, SMOOTH CHAIRLIFTS.
I think we found Paul Wanders' new alias. 😂 Just FYI, your shilling for Big Sky fails to account for the fact that most resorts don't NEED all the bells and whistles that Boyne likes to put on their chairlifts.
@@TheLewistownTrainspotter8102 he's had this "new" username for awhile now, annoying as hell.
Three moose in the second clip 😳😳😳
A mother, father and their bebé
That drive sound is one of my favorites!
When there's enough snow, Ranger's pod is also the way to access Diamondback as an alternative trail to Mozart when traveling to the Santiago Express.
Epic Green Run Bro!! Look for that Rebull helmet on your doorstep soon!
Haha, I'll be skiing more extreme stuff later in the year. This is just a P.OV of what the top to bottom of what Keystone looks like currently.
It’s amazing how much Keystone is able to get open this early in the season.
I agree, Keystone and Breck are pretty covered right now, and mid-week there's not a whole lot of people on the trails as well.
By the way, you gunna miss the east coast ice baby. Admit it !
East Coast?? Hardly know her.
It looks like winter already
The top did not look like it was Sunday but once you got into the run I could see all the people..
Beautiful footage... i'm jealous :D
Do you just buy the separate season pass on top of ikon / Epic? I always forget Loveland even exists.
@@Wesley296 I purchased the Epic Local and Indy Passes for this season, and I’m also working at an Ikon Mountain this winter, so I get to most areas on the Ikon pass as well as “RealDeal” tickets to just about every mountain in Colorado. Indy added Loveland two weeks before the season started so I get 2 days at Loveland regardless if I use my RealDeals or not.
@@tucker.84 That's sick. You're probably one of the few who can truly ski wherever they want this season.
@@Wesley296 I’m very fortunate to be where I’m at right now, couldn’t be more happier!
It’s going around 220 fpm. Greenhorn Ranch does it better with a slightly faster line speed and spaced out chairs.
Nice!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
1,308 doesn't seem right in vertical feet in this one, especially since it's top to bottom. It's supposed to be 2,308 feet, the same as the River Run Gondola.
Surprised Loveland chose this a there first detachable. I hope more become detachable.
Loveland probably doesn't need more detachables, I think their existing lift layout already works well for them. One thing you have to remember about Loveland is that a majority of their terrain is advanced/expert/extreme terrain, and making a high-speed lift in a pod of those trails would probably make those trails way more accessible - which is kind of what you don't really want.
What’s that siren sound at 1:50 ? Hot donuts or something like that ?
@@mattstanton99 it’s a hot dog siren, every time they cook a hot dog they blast a siren throughout Loveland pass.🚨
5 Months Till Closing
7 months for Loveland
Hey Paul, last time I checked Big Sky doesn't open for skiing until November 27th.
After doing it for a Cpl weeks straight, still don’t understand why ppl actually snowboard. 🤣🤷♂️
My hunch is because it’s easier…once u stop falling after first 1-3 days..or more, dependent on ppl.
I’ve tried snowboarding but I kept falling on my ass. After about a day of this I just called it quits. Mad respect to the people that board everyday, it’s not for everyone!
@@tucker.84 it actually almost is. On a typical day u see more boarders than ski (see my comment above why). But I leaned after Cpl weeks there’s reasons y numbers shrink with age. 💡
This trail only takes 2 minutes to go down from the lift?
For an advanced skier, yes. Also, after 5-Chair, it becomes a green run.
@ thank you, im going next week, hope some more trails are open
@@guibrandaoo Rips Ride opened up today, and I’m almost certain Rocky Mountain SuperChair or Quicksilver SuperChair will be open as well when you visit next weekend. We have a ton of powder up here, and temps look great during the night this week for snowmaking!
Can you ride this lift without skis?
No. The Snowflake double is not a foot-traffic lift so you must have skis / snowboard / snogo bike in order to ride.
Ayyo! FHNSAB! You know there are a couple Cadets over here Vail/Beaver Creek way.. We should try and ride sometime! I marched Bari/Euph 06-09. Have a great season!
No way, that is awesome! Dude, absolutely I'll totally rip together with you and your buddies from Vail/Beaver Creek. I've never actually skied with anyone I've marched in Drum Corps with... it would be the best of both worlds. Hit me up on my socials and lets plan something when you're down!
@@tucker.84 Well I saw that the other Cadet that lives over this way was at Breck today. So technically you did ride with someone who marched haha. She was a Trumpet in 2017
The Doppelmayr high speed quad that was replaced by this six pack was built in 1990 alongside the old Peru Express high speed quad.
I just made one of these in 1/32 scale
Thanks for joining us, Tucker!
@@KeystoneColorado Thanks! Y’all are the best!
Is this blue run ?
Nope. Schoolmarm is a Beginner trail, so it is marked as a green circle.
That lift looks brand new wtf
Those red tabs used to print the lift names on the terminals feel a little tacky and out of place. They don't seamlessly fit in like say, the red tabs that Breckenridge uses to post the lift names on the terminals of their older high speed quads and six packs.
it's funny that you have spent seconds on the beginner slop
Did you see Lucas catania??
Yup! I was in his latest video when he was at Keystone, he is a really awesome dude. Got some stickers from him too 🤙🏻

By far the best video I've seen for opening day!

I think they are running it slow because the conditions are marginal and they don't want to overwhelm the trails.
They are not running Treasure on a reduced operating speed because conditions are marginal, and it's certainly not to overwhelm the trails. I skied here from 10:15am to 1:30pm and there was never a line amongst the 3 chairlifts that were open, and the lot closest to the base lodge was never full at all. Because Wolf Creek is so secluded in the San Juans it makes getting there incredibly hard to travel to; case-in-point the area sees relatively low skier traffic throughout the season. Therefore, it is somewhat justified that *not* running the lift at full speed everyday makes sense, but is still is a pain in the butt.
Killington announced a replacement for this lift for 2025: a Doppelmayr high speed six.
