Ms. Hicks is anything but a “role model.” This whole interview is absolute garbage. If I were to pick apart everything wrong with it, I’d have a thousand page novel. Some of the commentary is absurd. She repeats her usual nonsense and makes pathetic attempts to say something profound. So many comments set me off and nearly caused me to jump into oncoming traffic. For example, I am no scientist, but I do not believe dignity is “in our DNA.” Stupid. I’m tired, Ms Hicks. Please stop this nonsense.

I admire this effort, I’ve been watching since I discovered Mr. Shriver’s talks from Utah. It’s a great idea being offered, in my humble opinion in completely the wrong way. I see no future for it unless it’s built from the ground up and not by folks who, as unfair as it probably is, are likely to be seen as elites. Where are the students on Twitch? Where are the Twitter (X) feeds? Instagram? Where are the street level symposiums? If those are happening where are the videos? I don’t think you have to convince most college educated people and truly they likely aren’t going to build a wave of dignity. The angst in the houses of politics isn’t predominantly fuelled by those folks. The undereducated or disadvantage or just plain fed up have been manipulated into literally hating one another. Having accomplished that, that is the fire that now justifies political contempt in the houses of power. I believe the Dignity Index is a great idea that will go nowhere until the plumber bitching about the price of bologna is the actual target. My 2 cents.
