All the back story is a marvel and so insightful! Just the way things were arranged. I love the comparison to Galaxy Quest. I also enjoy how he tells the different flavours of music each member was into and about. That was awesome and almost obvious.

Oh bless you all and Davy, this is so therapeutic to try and figure out what the heck I did to so many people. It's almost like you know immediately if someone knows you even though you don't know them at all. It's so blasted awkward because you try to be normal and they just can't be, they're too stunned somehow by your presence. It is so nice to hear him easily discuss his relationships with all the other Moinkees and the whole brown rice swami thing being a ?_? experience.

For some reason, I’ve taken a deep dive into the monkeys and specifically Davy Jones. When he was speaking about playing softball and then going over to Mickey’s house for a swim I was gobsmacked. When I was 10 years old, must’ve been the summer of 67. I went with my dad to visit his sister in California we lived in Chicago and one of my dad‘s good friends from the police force had moved to the Los Angeles area actually to the valley Working I believe at that time for some of the studios on the security team. Anyway Dads friend lived next-door to Mickey, which was absolutely crazy for my 10 year old self.I remember I looked over the wall and saw Mickeys pool , the same pool Davy spoke of. I remembered my dad s friend said mickey was out of town i think on tour. Wow what synchronicity. Thank you..

Miss you and Mike and Davy. Micky has quite a burden .... to keep the Monkees alive. You were all so much a part of my life since 1966. I was 10! Thanks for the memories!💗💗💗💗

My wife and I got to meet Peter in Bordentown, NJ. Very gracious man. He was playing with his band Shoe Suede Blues. I don’t think the “dummy” he played did the real Peter much justice. But he proved he had more acting talent than even he probably thought.

All those failed auditions pre 1965.. Im glad for the failures because it kept him available for the project that made him an icon.

SUPER! STELLAR and still has those dimples! He said, "you haved dimples, just like mine" he told me--March 8, 1980, and let me tell you he has a VERY charismatic way, very loving, and caring- my mother ADORED him, He gave me 26 French kisses and 3 hours of bliss... Oh, man he was SOMETHING! I was 16 and utterly mezmerized by him He said to me, "THisis YOUR day, and we will BOTH remember this forever, I will never forget this..." OH MY GOD, can you imagine that?!! It is true! He was so beautiful Kim

My sister and I were both MONKEES fans growing up in the 1960s, and though she eventually got to see David perform in concert I never did. Had I ever had the opportunity to meet David--I did become a musician myself--I would have asked him about growing up in Manchester and would have inquired if the USA and its (everyday, not necessarily show business) people had been good to him. I hope so, since he settled here, and if so I would have been gratified by that knowledge. Peter Tork gave essentially the same advice as David (regarding 'empowerment') did--i.e., if you're an artist DO your art.

It's a dramatized biography of the Monkees with four actors playing them. It was produced by VH1. You can find the whole 90 minute movie on TH-cam..

According to Micky, Peter was the only Monkee who was not like his screen persona. He played the dummy, but it was just a character.

A great interview. Peter was always so under appreciated. It takes a pretty sharp guy to convincingly play a dunce. He was very intelligent and talented. I was so sad when he quit the Monkees. I finally got to see him in concert in 2016.

Absolutely loved the Monkees the tunes were brilliant, but there was always so much more to them than that. They created an ora that will never be repeated. I'm just so greatful that I was alive during there adventure. Thank you guys 😉
