Thanks for information!
Very good video thanks !!
Amazing plane! That what i was looking for, thank you and Happy New Year !
My favorite Italian fighter.
Brilliant , thanks for making.
What a little beauty ! Perhaps its performance was still way better than prop driven foes. Sure they would have developed this if they didnt have to choose from it and the 262. Getting both would have been......?
They had great ideas, and designs. Too much corruption and nepotism took over.
Looks indeed like the prototype of the Havilland DH100 Vampire (UK). Would the UK have stolen the drawings? Or maybe the other way around??
Looks like a british vampire jet!
wow
they also went against the american P-40 and the russian YAK-1
Why?
I wish that training videos from Howard Putnam's era were preserved, after hearing about one of the stories he told in a video on YT behind one of them on handling passengers and baggage, I'd kill (figuratively) to see the FA tell the actress "You give me that pinata, or I'm gonna shove it up your ass." 😂 (/watch?v=ee9KdnDwPfg&e9KdnDwPfg?si=hF03a38lb_cGJfK_&t=2294 (preceeded by the TH-cam url before the "/watch" part of it ofc) for the story in question)
Starter of F35

What would it been like to fly back then.

Particular and efficient design....
It still has to be the Most beautiful airliner (other than Concorde)ever built.
Very helpful video. Thank you!
I love this narrator....who is it?????
On the deck?!
Tomcat starts at 3:08 otherwise pointy nose porn
No helicopter ever met those specs before or after
if you use a real voice this would get more views
Brings back memories of old school military service. I could never hope to describe how much I miss it. Thank you for posting this video.
Hmm. In 2023 it’s impossible to operate that damn thing. So fkng expensive. Thanks to regulations and the coruption of politicians. Hell with them. Until this day nobody beats 47. Yeap. Should be affordable for our kids to enjoy you suckers. You only think of your belly.
Well, it was British, so you had a massive load of overbearing and overconfidence, as well as total oblivion to anyone else's opinion. The track record of Britain is so bad it hurts. Titanic, the unsinkable, sank, Comet blew up in midair and Sellafield burnt to a crisp all because of the same fault. See above.
Seems you are forgetting many other successful British inventions and discoveries? The jet engine, Steam engine, Steam locomotive, world’s first railway system, Penicillin, Steam ship, Radar, Computer. The list is quite lengthy visit the internet (Tim Berners Lee (British)………🫡🇬🇧
WOW is all i can say as a member of the panthers my FIRST squadron during the transition to the inits i applaud this video thank you for the history of my very first Navy squadron at 17/18 years old

Awesome video

Why is this video called Junkers Ju 88? At the start we see two Fw 191 prototypes, some Do 217 E, Fw 189, He 115 and many more - and some Ju 88 too.
He should have been given the monarchy. He's done more for England than anyone in a thousand years.whats the queen done? Or the new king?
I hope the brits still get a royalty for this.
RADAR shown is an AN/FPN-36 "QUAD" RADAR, meaning it has 4 functions--short range search, or taxi, long range search, heighfinder, and PAR or GCA. We had 2 at NAS Miramar which I helped maintain, 70-74. At the time I arrived, spring of 74, there was a second "28" GCA which would soon be replaced by an FPN-52, sitting on pallets at the shop when I arrived. This was the PAR only section of the old CPN-4, with a few updates. One was solid state IF receiver section. 24/48 duty, our shop was isolated out at about Q6-Q7 off the W end of the "bore sight range" all gone now. The Marines have laid concrete over where our shop was. The TACAN building is still there somewhat W of our shop location. At the time the TACAN was "all tube" Korean war vintage
Nice. I work with a tech who supported the Korean War. Nav aids techs.
This design should have been an easy sell, looks to be very safe and very fast. Too bad the developers didn’t continue. This bird would definitely sell today with only cirrus, vision jet and epic bring new planes to the market. The A 400 would easily sell as experimental and then move into the certification process once 50 plus are flying. The aircraft market today is like it was 40 years ago with the exception of the Epic and PC12. By that these birds will carry full fuel and 1200 lbs, very few can tell this. Most planes are the same except they have gotten much heavier and carry way less than they did 20-40 years ago. I say put a parachute on top and bring it back.

I can't tell you how many times I watched and re-watched this tape as a child. I may even still have the cassette somewhere but thank you so much for uploading this!

Thank you so much for posting these gems!!!!
the only good a5 doc is right here thanks.
I had this documentary on VHS when I was a kid.
We all did😂
I had this and wings of gold for some bizarre reason my copy of Wings of Silver was in Black and White, took it back as I thought it was a fault and the second copy I got was also in Black and white, So assumed it was suppose to be like that.
Wonderful film footage. This should be compulsory viewing for Liberal and Conservative governments in Canada.
Very good Footage... thx from germany
