Odo by Ado Taiko x Bass (Oni FC)
I'm back with another mix of two of my current hobbies: taiko and bass.
This time with Odo, my favorite song from Ado (thanks Taiko no Tatsujin for letting me know this song existed). For some reason I had a hard time recording the bass, it's easier to play this song on taiko lol. Anyway, thanks for watching!! :D

Finally managed to get a full combo in this song, I'm so happy!! It took some years and this represents a milestone for me. Even though I love this song with all my heart, I had a really hard time getting a full combo; it took me years to finally achieve this, I always made such dumb mistakes. I really think this song is cursed, to the point that the audio glitched for a moment and the camera was out of focus and I didn't notice these things until the editing process. Hi! I'm back with a full combo of the extreme version of Sengoku Sangen, a Namco song that I really like because it has a shamisen. I must admit that, even though it's a 9 star song, it's one of the easiest ones of this level (says the one who took months to master it). Hope you like it! :D

@@ricardorodriguezcarlo6854 ¡Gracias por ver! Que el musical escolar salga muy bien :)
great job on the review. thank you
Thanks for watching!!
Great video for beginners. I just invested in a drum but I am very much a beginner. I thank you kindly for the tips
Thanks for watching!! :D
I'm pretty sure the big notes actually do give increased score, apparently you just have to hit harder for bigger notes which you can still do with one hand. (on "Taiko no Tatsujin Nijiiro" cabinet)
I didn't know that :O Thanks a lot for the correction!! :D
Great video. Now I can decided whether buy official or mercari used maibachi for my birthday. A question tho, can generic 10 dollar bachi is enough to hit the arcade until I can afford expensive bachi? Is the performance have any big difference with official Aka? Or should I just stick to arcade bachi till I can afford it.
Thanks a lot!! Yup, imo I really think that the 10 USD bachi are good enough for the arcade. They feel almost the same as the aka, I've been using them basically all year and I have no complaints :D
I'm just recently getting into Taiko, and your previous review of the IINE Pro Max was really helpful in deciding on a Taikocon. I just learned about official bachi too and was looking for an overview, and what perfect timing that you just uploaded this. Excellent video dude, all of your Taiko videos are really helpful.
@@TylrMrshll Thanks a lot man!! You made my week. I’m very glad that you find my videos helpful! And I hope you’re enjoying this awesome game :D
What's the pc compatiblity like?, picked up as a switch pro controller?
@@tacosmash3487 It is marketed as a PC compatible drum, however, you need to use JoyToKey for your PC to recognize the drum and set it up as a controller. I only use it for the Nintendo Switch, so I haven’t tried to use it on PC yet, so I can’t provide more info about it
Can this work with PS5's taiko no tatsujin?
@@kahbengtan6380 The IINE's official website says that this drum is for with PS4 and PS5 but it also says “(only support the PS4 version of Taiko no Tatsujin)”. I don’t own any of these consoles so I can’t confirm this info, so I highly recommend you to contact IINE's support through the page :D
is this drum better than hori?
@@minajosh22 Yes! It's way more sensitive, bigger and you can make more drumrolls :D
So is this still good?
Thanks for the pattern sequences tip! Been looking for these but not alot of players post them for newbies
Hi! Interested in this, do you know the shipping process for other countries? I have UPS in my country but idk if they can get through with Yanwen :/
@@heckincat1406 Hi! In my experience I ordered two drums from two different countries. In both countries Yanwen used the national postal service (USPS and the my country's national mail). It seems that they don’t send it through UPS unfortunately, but you can try asking them through their customer service website :D
@jaztea22 I see :/ yeah I live in Sweden and we have UPS, I just don't knoe any shipping services that they ship through. I'll ask them and see what they say! Btw, where were you when you ordered the package?
@@jaztea22Also, do you actually mean that they ship within 3 days or that they get the information? It says that they received my order just yesterday, 2 days after purchase and no shipping yet ;/
@@heckincat1406 I checked my tracking history and the “order was processed by shipper” was on nov 20th, then “Yanwen pickup scan” was on dec 3rd and the “Yanwen facility-outbound” was on dec 4th. So based on this info, it took some days for Yanwen to pick up the drum and send it to the USA. I would wait a bit morr and if there are no updates I would contact customer support for info. Hope you find this useful!
@@jaztea22Hi I had to come back here lol, not looking good unfortunately :/, order is shipped, but it's been 11 days and it's been at arrival of destination port, while the app that handles the package just says that a 4 gram package is otw, which is obviously wrong. It does say 12 days but it hasn't even registered as a package over 2kg, just 4 grams :(.
It is a great video! May I know where can you buy the IINE taiko pro? But I am a beginner and I bought a HORI drum and I need to use some effort and bigger strengths to sense my hit. Is it a normal situation?
@@jtcyz10 Hi! You can buy it through Ali Express or the IINE official website. For the Hori drum you indeed need to hit it harder so that it can register notes, sadly is a common issue. You can also mod your Hori drum to increase its sensitivity tho, but it will still be lacky

@@jaztea22 does that introduce latency? My latency is bad enough with my speaker setup might have to switch to using headphone when playing lol

Heeeeeyy pretty nice play. That song is such a banger. Where are your bachis from? They look nice!

Did they ever refund you? I got the package protection but now I’m nervous. What about customs? Btw the coupon code you used still works, thanks for that
@@cdewbs6654 Hi! Sadly they never refund me, USPS never sent back the drum. Apparently I had a typo when I typed down my address when I bought it so that’s why it never arrived to my house so, as long as you typed everything correctly, you shouldn’t have any problems :) I didn’t have any issues with customs fortunately. hi i was wondering if u had any tips for improving my technique and being more economical with my motion. also if u have recommendations for people to watch and emulate
Hi! There's a Taiwanese guy that explains how to properly hold the bachis and how to hit the drum. His channel's name is 台湾のドンダー 海空 and the video's title is Seasky's Taiko lesson-holding skill&straight hits Ep.1(for beginners). He explains really well. For taiko players to emulate I usually watch red55taiko. He always gets Donderful combos and makes sure to record how he plays each song, so it's really helpful to watch. Thanks for watching!!

One question, does the drum work well on pc? As their basic model apparently is 120hz and its said its bad on pc.

@@jaztea22 Yeah since im looking to get this mainly for tjaplayer3 and PS4. Looks like a really good drum though, I have been looking for one like this for AGES since I need a bigger drum that isnt too big and doesnt make insanely high pitch sounds that may piss off my mom or dad haha. Probably gonna get it somewhere around new years since i need to save up :v

Considering saving for the iine pro max since I recently got taiko for the switch after the online version I used to play got taken down. I'm definitely on more on the casual side but it would be nice to play with an actual drum controller since im so used to touch controlled mobile rhythm games
I recently got a taiko force and I was looking for a type of bachi that can effectively roll. Where did you get yours since it seems it rolls quite well
Hi! I bought a second-hand taiko force and the seller included those bachi but he didn’t mention where he got them from. However, I searched on Ebay “maibachi taper” and there are some bachi that are really similar to mine. Most sellers are located in Japan but it looks like they offer international shipping. Sorry I can’t provide more info
Very well played and nice bass sound my friend!🎸
Thanks!! I appreciate your support!
Great
In your opinion, is the IINE drum still worth it? Especially for a casual player (I've only played the arcade version like, twice) the IINE seems like a really nice middle ground between the cheaper Hori tatacon and the arcade accurate drums. Though I'm curious if the arcade accurate drums are really that much better and if I should just save up for a Taikoller or the like
Hello! If you are a casual player and planning on being a casual player for some time, then I do recommend the IINE Pro Max: it's cheapar and it also takes less space than a Taikoller or other arcade-like drums. However, if you're planning on becoming a more constant or competitive player and if money and space are not issues for you, then I would go for the Taikoller so that you can get more easily accustomed to the drum's size and behavior so that you can later play on an arcade without worries. I would say that the IINE drum is best suited for beginner players that want to learn or keep improving. Hopefully my answer helped you and if you have more questions feel free to write them down!
