Hillman Husky | Street Rod
A Motor House Auto Bios short on this really unique Hillman Husky. We had a quick talk at the NSRA Nationals with this couple about their Husky street rod.
The Hillman Husky was a line of British passenger vehicles manufactured between 1954 and 1970 by Hillman. The Husky was originally built to be a race car, but it turned out to have too short of a wheel base to be race safely.
So now they drive it as a street rod and as an art piece in their basement bar.
More Auto - Bios are in the works! But with driving shots and sounds of the cars. Stay tuned.
We'd like to hear from you about what you'd like us to feature. Thanks.

Our Auto-Bios short on this 30 Ford we captured at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. Clint the owner has wanted a Hot Rod since an early age, but the timing never worked out. It shows its never too late to start something that you've wanted.

For 49 years Hot Rodders and Custom cars enthusiasts have gathered at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals to partake in all things Vintage cars. It's held at the Historic York Fairgrounds, a sprawling venue with beautiful old buildings that make for great backdrops for these even more beautiful rides. I captured about 2500 images of these machines and sat down and talked with a few of their owners to...

Motor House hosted our very first car show! We had a 962 Porsche, Vintage Funny car and a '32 Ford from the pages of Hot Rod magazine to name a few! It was held in conjunction with the Coatesville Vintage Invitational Grand Prix, which runs thru the city streets of downtown Coatesville, Pa. My goal was to feature high caliber vintage race vehicles and also a variety of genres of vintage cars an...

The SEMA Show is for the car obsessed like us. Our annual trek to the meca of aftermarket goodies is the highlight of the year. So many high level builds across just about every manufacturer and genre there is in car culture. Race cars, Customs, JDM, Euro, Muscle, Trucks, Off-road, Overland. You name it, I would bet it is there. And then there is the ear splitting, smoke choking fun areas of th...
Building the Bull | Race prepping a Lamborghini Super Trofeo EVO2

Motor House went for the deep dive on this short film. The visuals, sounds and a look into how these amazing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO 2 race cars go together. If you’re anything like me you love the sounds of race cars and think they can be rolling works of art. I wanted to capture the incredible lines, power and the sound of these Lambo race cars in the EVO2 trim package. I also lo...

No music, no narration, just the sounds of the Giants Despair Hillclimb. It was established in 1906 in Laurel Run, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, just southeast of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Its a 1 mile long section of road rising 650 feet (200 m), the course reaches grades up to 20% and has six turns, including the 110 degree "Devil's Elbow", which is the top section that I filmed. The contest was firs...

Motor House spent a day with Dave Markel's amazing car & garage collection. Ryan, the curator of Mr Markel's collection, was kind enough to take time out of his day to show me just a taste of what is in this incredible collection. It's not just the cars, but it's also the amazing buildings that have been crafted into the look of old carriage houses that are sprinkled throughout the city of Skip...

That's exactly what Lenard Wood said , he could look a part or a car and see in his mind how to make it and better. Great minds think alike. Big Daddy sure knows how to make lemonade when the crowd and competitors handed him lemons. I respect that.

I'm not quite sure but I think in 1965 or 1966 mr. Don Garlits was racing at half Moon Bay dragstrip. My next door neighbor in San Francisco was Don Smith and I believe his son Don Smith Jr was co-owner of half Moon Bay dragstrip. That was the weekend I met Big Daddy and he sat me in his dragster. Wow that's a memory I will never forget. I was 13 years old. That same year I met Mr. Don The Snake Prudhomme. I really miss my friend Don Smith Senior and half Moon Bay dragstrip What great memories. 🇺🇲🦊🇺🇲

The best thing that ever happened to Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth. and Desoto, Was Don Garlists, Don worked on the "Hemi" Engines like and Engineer, and then "Kicked Ass- And Took Names. My first car was a 1935 Dodge Coupe. What a learning experience, I had, I won the first Chrysler, Trouble shooting contest at my Highschool Oakland Technical High School, Oakland California. I later went on to win the "E-Gas class at the Pomona, Winter Nationals. Running a 1955 Chevy. I met Don Garlits, at the end of the tract at Fremont Drag strip. Don Garlits, made a run and after I completed my run , Don Gartits, was over on the side with his engine all apart and putting it back together. The Man Don Garlits, had "Magic Hands", after a short period he was back at the starting line ready to make another run.

Hey Big Daddy! You are personally responsible for my addiction to speed, in a race car. At the Winternationals in Phoenix, 1976, I kinda met you when your assistant dropped a wrench and I picked it up to hand it to him, but you took it instead and said thanks. I’m positive you won’t remember, as you’ve been so many fans over the years. Thank you sir!
