I love the remake more than the original

this is a masterpiece, i was with two friends in a almost empty cinema, a couple leave at the middle, while i couldnt believe what i was watching!

The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the only true sequel to T2. Everything else is completely irrelevant. And how could you possibly rate that dumpster fire of dark fate a 6 is a mystery to me, it's easily the worst of them all (genisys being a close second worst)

The hand movements in this movie got me to pay more attention to other movies where hands were used to conjure

Criminally under-rated series that was criminally cancelled by (you guessed it) Fox. The two seasons are so good, I really only consider T1, T2 and this series canon. Lena Heady is phenomenal in it - it really is HER story as a mother raising the future savior of the world - and Summer Glau was born to play a teen-aged girl Terminator. Sadly, it was cancelled at the very moment it went from really good to absolutely amazing. We really got robbed of at least one great season of television there.

It hurts my soul how this was canned, it was soo good, it relied on story and world building instead of action, it still baffles me how after 4 movies couldnt use this as a template to make something good

The TH-cam algorithm led me to this great video. This was best thing that was made post T2. Recently, I rewatched the entire series. I think Season 1 was just right and Season 2 was a little long. I also think if this was on a streaming network and had shorter seasons, we would have had a proper conclusion. Just my opinion. I did like Dollhouse too. At least it got a proper conclusion.

I also much prefer the remake as I feel Luca put meat on shallow bones but I don't exactly think it's that deep either. It's a very curious film, but I don't feel as if it's actually exploring or saying anything about from any historical or feminist angle. And to me it's still very pulpy and in your face, especially the climax.

Such a shame about the ticket sales i suppose, it is only a fucking masterpiece...

I remember being PISSED this was cancelled. This and Freaks & Geeks kinda still hurts lol.

It was such a good show for it's time (looking back I mean). It did far more for the franchise than the previous 2 films ever will, and it's a shame that Fox chose yet another typical sex themed show instead of a more complex, drama driven one, that happened to be related to a franchise. John not being the leader in the future, being in a completely alternate and new timeline was something I was okay with. What I wasn't okay with was the previous 2 films trying to both vilify and do away with John entirely as a character/leader.

where'd you get the script?

The first season was really good. The second season kind of lost momentum. The one problem I had with the show is they jump through a time portal, and a terminators bare metal head gets cut off by it and ends up going along with them. The first season they had an idea and went with it. The second season you could see an idea but then they kind of got lost trying to make it into a complete season. Evil did that in season 1. It starts with a good idea and story. It basically goes nowhere in the middle, and then it finds itself again in the last few. The middle episodes like Sarah Connor don't go anywhere. They're just there to make a full season.

It really is the ultimate remake. In fact it’s a reinvention done so incredibly well that I feel like it surpasses the original in most aspects

The show have too many flaws to be good and too many amazing moments to be bad. That's said is the best thing in the franchise after T2.

Thom Yorke's score for this film is one of my favourite movie scores of all time.

I hated T2 because the actor portraying John Connor was THE most annoying character that I’ve ever seen in a movie. His presence ruined the movie for me. Every scene he was in was comparable to fingernails scraped down a chalkboard. The Sarah Connor Chrinicles is one of all time favorite series that ended way to soon. Luckily I have both seasons on dvd which I watch twice a year.

I wish to have next terminator with connection to Season 3 ( cancelled unfortuntly )

need some of that inter-dimensional cable, for one of the realities where the show wasn't cut after S2. where Firefly was aired in sequence, and with a consistent time slot, where Fox produced high quality sci fi content and profited from it.

I felt bad over the show going off on a cliff hanger so I took notes and wrote up a what if sceen play of my own with all the characters included in it.

Not the best terminator but definitely entertaining.

I think I agree with a lot of what you said, but I also think Dark Fate is better than you said it was and is kind of underrated. I'm sorry, but I actually really enjoyed Dark Fate. The title is so lame, cheesy and generic, though. Still not as good as TSCC, though.

I think there was a slight mistake in the first episode of The Sarah Connor Cronicles. The FBI agent James Ellison states more than once that Sarah Connor murdered Miles Dyson. Reason being that she believed Dyson would invent ...., etc. Whereas we know that the authorities knew that Miles Dyson died sitting on the floor, and alone. I presume some of those swat team made it out of there, as they called a retreat. EDIT: Ah - that's sort of explained in the first episode.

Bought 'the complete 1 and 2 seasons' on blu-ray. .... Fully entertaining. ........ Loved it since catching some of it on TV.

EN The best film adaptation. 10+ out of 10. The only thing that needs to continue the Terminator franchise. Deep and multifaceted in meaning. Very emotional. This is action, drama, fantasy in one work. Cameron is an amazing character. Summer Glau is an amazing actress. RU (original) Лучшая экранизация. 10+ из 10. The terminator franchise has so much potential pity that poor views on TSCC resulted in it being canned. I still hold hope for a proper T3 directed by jimmy Cameron the technology is definitely there now ✌️

This Terminator show needed more seasonal episodes.

I never watched it when it first came out, but I recently found a station showing reruns and it is SO good. I really wish it would have lasted more seasons - and what a TERRIBLE cliffhanger!

Another great show with real potential sacrificed at the altar of commerce.

No the first film doesn't create a new timeline the second on does. Its made clear multiple times that John Connor meets a young Kyle Reese knowing that he was supposed to go back in time and become his father. It was always supposed to happen like that. Skynet was always supposed to send the t 800 to kill Sarah, and Reese was always supposed to become his friends dad, its a paradox. Its also how John new that skynet sent a terminator after his mom and how he knew the exact time and place it would happen. Same thing when the T 1000 was sent to kill John, John knew it would happen and knew that he would need a reprogrammed t 800 to protect him because he lived it. Where a new timeline is created is this time around John Sarah Miles and the new T 800 destroy all the research before skynet is even created.

For me, TSCC had great potential as a TV series 3 or more. Those that thought better, released lame as$ed movies to follow which probably cost a darn sight more.

4:32 I don't think there's a second John Connor. I think it was a self-fulfilling prophecy time paradox. Skynet unknowingly created its arch-nemesis by causing the events that led to Reese traveling back in time and fathering John Connor.
