Until the Oprah commercial youtube put on, I almost forgot how woke Carrol was
Supringly, The Comedy Julia didn't have a laugh track. Most uncommon for situation comedies in that period. Julia's cousin was the Taxi driver in Blackula.
Whatever happened with Marc Copage, the black kid playing Diane Carroll's Son in Julia? I pray his fate better than most child actors of the Era
My mother used to leave me alone at age 7 to go to work on Saturdays.
I live in the UK, I don't know if I'm experiencing the Mandela Effect but, I have a cast iron memory of the show" Julia" being called "Corey" in the UK.

Such a pretty lady Dyanne was
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
14:47 Is Carol is a grown-up Penny from Good Times or what 😱
This was my favorite show as a young black girl in the 1970s just because it reflected on my view of black actors on tv diahann Carroll was a tv pioneer for black actresses in positive roles rip diahann & thank you 🙏
☺️🤩🤗
i remember this show when growing up,i am so glad i have found itt
The nerve to act like there wasn’t a reason for AA and DEI…🥵
way better than the Cosby's
it's amazing that this well written show is not on in syndication , it captures the late 60's and very early 70's well , who actually doesn't remember being told when left alone not to answer the door or the phone i actually remember having a key to come home after sch to an empty apt to watch the TV while i did my homework and eat a PBJ and a yoo hoo till my mother would get home from work and my older brothers would never come home till way after my mother so that they wouldn't be responsible for me ""( thank god ) but it was still a good time
although it's been more than 45'plus years since i last viewed this show i remember it vividly but because of my very youthful age didn't realize how good the writing was , it captures the late 60's era nicely
Too many Richard appearances in Season 3 so far, haha
Something’s missing here. Hmm. Terrible show. Hmmm.
The iconic Bob Hope making a cameo appearance!
Episode 70 and Earls younger brother still doesn't have a name... just Baby Waggedorn. Haha
“Yes ma’am” ❤
Strange The blackboard in the end titles sequence has Coreys name on it spelled correctly, the way its been spelled in the opening title sequence since the first episode... Corey But the next few episodes after this one, they change the spelling on the blackboard to Cory... yet its still spelled as Corey in the title sequence. Just something that caught my eye and decided to come back to this one, the season 3 premiere, to double check
This was a good one And Judy Jetson (Janet Waldo) as Mrs Appleton, too
44th episode and Earls brother still doesnt have a name... haha. Still just Baby Waggedorn
I spy the Gilligan's Island radio in the first scene with Corey and Julia. Not the exact same prop but the same make and model. The little girls doll is a Baby Drowsy by Mattel. They had a Caucasian and African American version. This one of the earliest baby dolls to be made so that Black children could see themselves in a doll, just like Mattels Julia doll was one of the first Black fashion dolls.
In 1968, Diahann Carroll remarked: "At the moment we're presenting the white Negro. And he has very little Negroness." The Saturday Review's Robert Lewis Shayon wrote that Julia's "plush, suburban setting" was "a far, far cry from the bitter realities of Negro life in the urban ghetto, the pit of America's explosion potential." Julia received good ratings the first two seasons but dropped out of the top 30 most-watched shows during season 3. In 1971, the series was canceled, reportedly because of Carroll's and series creator and executive producer Hal Kanter's desire to work on other projects.
What a beautifully executed episode. "Little Kim" is such a sweet little thing.
Thanks 4 this
As a London boy of 15 in 1958 I had a crush on Julia, what a babe
Kid's being friends and they don't care about each other's race. Nice. We need more show's like this on tv now.

Great show still better than todays !!!!
Love the show as a kid. My mother even took me and got me to Barbie of the character Julie. So thank you for putting. Sincerely Maureen
I was 7 years old when this series first aired. I grew up and for years wanted to be a nurse, just like Julia! It wasn’t until I was 14 and volunteering at a hospital that I realized nursing wasn’t the career for me.
Is that the nun from the movie Sister Act?😊, so glad I've found this series, a joy to watch.

Daniel behavior You're a slave of Jesus Christ hello 👋 🙄 Willie Daniel
After watching 5 episodes of this asinine dribble, I must ask how the Hell does a modern (Allegedly sophisticated) Audience praise this hypocritically racist propaganda?? PS: Those sharing it can't even get the episodes right... hence The Not-Right! SMH
Adorable. Greetings from Danmark 🤜 🇩🇰 🤛
I love the clothes from the late 60’s early 70’s! 👗👡👒
The young man playing the drums was the drummer in Earth, Wind, and Fire.
