A Weekend at *The Dusun
The Dusun, located just outside Seremban and about an hour away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), is an eco-friendly accommodation in the foothills of the Titiwangsa Main Range and Berembun Forest Reserve.
The Dusun has a collection of jungle lodges nestled in lush greenery and overlooking views of a Malaysian forest. It is a holiday destination for nature lovers who enjoy privacy and space with tropical jungle views. The 12-acre lot area has over two hundred fruit trees, two forest walks, seven rainforest villas, two pools, a kept of deers and chickens and vegetable gardens.
The seven private houses in The Dusun is individually unique and set to catch views of surrounding greenery and the distant mountains. Each house comes with an equipped kitchen and barbecue set. Catered meals are also available for those who prefer not to cook.
We stayed in the Kantan house. This house is split into small buildings with a deck shaded by an avocado tree in between. The deck opens to views of sunrise and moonrise on a clear night. A towering kantan plant reaches up to the living room, lining view of the rainforest beyond. The main house has a large living room, kitchen and an airy bathroom with a sunken bathtub. The other building has two bedrooms and an attached bathroom.
