@TerraExplorations Thanks for the kind words about Mo! I've been doing some camping...I've just been too lazy to video it beyond video for my own memories. I'm actually camping out tonight! No fires allowed, unfortunately....a burn ban is in effect in Maryland, which is the first time I've ever heard of that 🤔 Normally I don't stress over such stuff, but it's indeed a tinderbox out there....I'll make no fire! Stay well! 👍

I just love spending summer here! I only had my small radio, but the reception is really awesome up here. at home I can only pick up Asia for a few hours in the morning 05:00 till maybe 08:00? I just clipped a speaker wire to the antenna and attached it to my Bo Staff.

If it weren't for Field and Stream and HighTimes I'd probably still be in Texas.

The sky was just full of soot and ash as the temp dropped sixteen degrees. I had to bail outta there after a few hours the smoke was burning my throat, and the ash and soot was just covering everything.

That sucks man, yea it was just awful I had to call it and just get outta there it was so bad.

He didn't seem to mind, guess it was better than just waiting in the unit. we talked for a good bit every time he would walk by. I thought it was pretty ballsy walking around in the dark up here with just the light of his cell phone. Yeah, those fires are really bad, you can see how it just darkens the sky. The soot and ash are what really makes things really unbearable! Yes, we did get some traffic rolling by!

I was able to pick one up as a baby and it was pretty soft n' fluffy. lol

Oh man, the whole NW was on fire here! it was the worst this year with over 20 fires and choking smoke everywhere. after June the fires start everywhere here so ya gotta get out and enjoy summer while you can up here. Reason I get really torqued when I find smoldering campfires left by the flatlanders... statewide fire ban, 85+ degrees, and people have to have a campfire.

@TerraExplorations I won't pay for cable,so I get most of my news from online.so that's probably why I haven't heard about the fires.I know last year you could see and smell the smoke from Canada's wildfires in Ohio.

Me too, online or the radio. You're right, British Columbia had it real bad, and all the rest of Canada was just a smoking blaze. California gets pretty scary as well.

Yeah, way cool I thought! I will have to see if they have anything on here showing them using a rig like this. It looks pretty really interesting... imagine being on top of that thing and being pulled through a forest fire? lol! We had over twenty wildfires here, some from lightning and some from people deliberately setting them. Over 180 head of cattle killed by an arson in eastern Oregon.

This is how our summers are cut so short. after snowmelt ya got maybe a couple of weeks before the fires start. I missed all of July and August this year.

The fires sure did a number on this tour

It's the same thing here brother, everything where I live is owned by Logging companies and is gated, day use only and is on video surveillance... only because people dump trash and set fires. I drive 175 miles and camp out here for 6-7 days to get these videos. only after the snow melts up there and there are no fires.

Funny, I can always tell by the trees what part of the states folks are videoing from. Yes, the fires are really bad this year.... some lit intentionally. The soot and ash got so thick just covering everything, and the smoke just burned your throat n lungs.

It was an interesting evening for sure, I was havin a great time. The next day was jus awful! I went to check for nails at the wye (rail wasn't as old as I thought) and it was just raining soot n ash! It got dark and cooler cause the smoke was so thick I had to go. should be nicer in a couple of weeks, I'll try to get up there again.

Dang well they must have replaced those then at some point we'll good luck on ur next adventure
