That is a great question and totally understandable! We see a lot of people looking to relocate from more expensive states like California and Arizona. Also, having lived in Iowa Falls myself, it’s really nice having so much to do here compared to small town Iowa where a nice dinner is a 45 minute drive. Another thing we do hear constantly (I think you’ll agree) is how nice people are here. “Iowa nice” is a true thing. 😊

@@tomscheffer824 that is a very good question! To determine a reasonable offer, it’ll depend on a few factors. While walking through the house, do you notice any defects like water spots on the ceiling, any broken siding, holes in drywall, etc… Do the previous owners look neat and tidy? This will indicate that if they take care of their day to day things, good chance they took care of the home as well. We’ll also want to look at comparable properties in the surrounding area to see what homes of that size, bed/bath count, etc are going for. We recently had a home in our neighborhood list at $785,000, but sold 10 months later for $647,000 due to comparable properties of that size. The sellers were trying to sell a 4 bedroom/ 4 bathroom 3900 sq ft home for the same price as a 6 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom 6,000 sq ft home.
