    Great review! Very helpful. I plan to start competition shooting in the coming months and I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what to get for a belt rig. So much to choose from and it gets confusing fast. I saw this Black Scorpion all-in-one and it seemed like a good option, which you have just confirmed for me.

    I can tell you that Timney has great customer service. It is true that the first Timney MP5 trigger group had issues. There were times the trigger did not reset and there were hesitations for the reset. After testing and explaining it to Timney and sending it back, they replaced it with a new one and sent it to me in 2 days. The new one works great and have no issues. I had some issues with the AP5, but I think mine may be ammo picky. Still doing some testing. It's a great trigger and worth the cost. I almost bought the Heckfire, but went with a company that is established with good customer service. I'm glad I did.

      My AP5-P hates hollow points or any flat nose ammo. Zero issues otherwise after swapping to the HK ejector. MKE ejector? FTEs and FTFs galore.

    I bought 5 of these triggers, they run better than a 25 thousand dollar pre 86 select fire trigger packs. I have them in SP5K's, SP5L's, SP5's and HK93's, they all run fast as fk. I plan to buy 10 more from Timney when they get restocked at the store. Did Timney make you send that trigger back after you reviewed it, or did they give that to you for free or a option to buy at a discount for reviewing it?

    I own both and the VP9 is still superior. I am getting a Johnny Glock modified one. We will see on after I install one. The superior ergonomics of the VP9 is another factor. Almost everyone that has shot my VP9 has bought one. The comfort is noticeable.

      @@MatteoFitness Yeah I’m almost 70 years old I’m new to people stupid enough to buy a gun for $500 and then put in another thousand dollars to make it a Beretta anHK or a sig which it’ll never be if you buy it for function that’s one thing if you start playing with it and trying to make it look like something it’s not it’s stupid I’ve owned seven of them I only have one left and it’s only because shield made 15 round magazines for the 43X or that would go by the wayside I think my favorite clock is a 42 and 380 left alone just put it in your pocket cause you know what works don’t put any money into it or you have a small penis

      @@MatteoFitness if you use them out of the box as a tool that’s one thing I had seven of them I have one left (43X only because shield made the 15 round magazines or that one would be gone too) but people who add more than double the price to add on bullsh1t looking crap or the tools themselves

    Great review and break down of the gun. Was looking for a competition gun as it's something I'm wanting to get into. Was looking at the H&K VP9 Match, but found out it does not fit in the carry optics division. You have sold me on the max! Thanks for posting

    I recently purchased a new VP9 OR and could not be more unhappy with the trigger. I hated it so much that I sent it back to HK, and they sent it back to me, with a note that it was tested and found to be within normal range. I am not a new shooter. I am an NRA and Police firearms instructor and have been shooting guns for over 35 years. I have shot about every major make and caliber and even own 2 other HK pistols. This is by far, their WORST trigger IMHO. I have read that the trigger gets better after 500 rounds, so I will have to test that theory for now.

  • @tomburrows3608
    @tomburrows3608 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have two of these triggers and both came in at 4lbs and settled into 3.5 after a few hundred rounds. They have a short takeup and a very firm wall and break like glass. I can not answer for your situation but I am totally satisfied with mine.

    • @whatupgovna
      @whatupgovna 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the wall is good but i’ve noticed the more momentum u have the less u feel it. im not even close to breaking mine in fully yet though. dry fires can help break it in too though right?

    I put one in today, it's much better than stock. Only thing was had to file small amount of material off back side of trigger safety, as it would hit the frame prematurely

  • @izzyiz810
    @izzyiz810 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sounds just like the stock trigger in terms of hitting the wall.

    I love mine. I have the optics ready one. I got mine last year with the tritium sights and three mags. They are not suppressor height. The only polymer gun I have that is comparable is the Walther PDP. Mine’s never failed me. Not a hiccup. You can’t compare this to a Glock. It is much better and as robust if not more so in my opinion. The trigger and shooting experience are sooo much better. The paddle release is awesome. You can get it with the trigger finger and thumb or I can. I adjusted to it quickly and like it. I do have bigger hands though. Great shooter. I hate torture tests. If you take you gun and pour sand into it, it is that dumb.

    I know there mixed feelings and thoughts, but at the end of day it’s better than stock . In my mr920 it’s specifically great compared to stock , no movement in sight picture at all . And 100 % reliable and makes a accurate pistol even more accurate for me . I did keep the stock trigger shoe which is aluminum. And a little lubricant helps in right places . Best of luck my friend.K
