Went to the river to catfish, was not a very productive trip until the very end. Storms arrived earlier than predicted and me and everything got soaked. #catfish#rainstorms#camping#fishing

Large catfish, Monster turtle, Bad weather river camp
มุมมอง 19K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Camped and fished on the river for the first time this year. Four good friends joined me on this trip. We caught quality fish with one blue cat weighing 22 lbs, three at ten lbs and several more 2-4 lb fish. We caught a giant alligator snapping turtle-the largest I have ever seen. We had a great time although we dealt with severe weather on Thursday night into Friday morning. #Largecatfish#Gian...

Once a year I hike into this spot in the woods and camp. It is a beautiful spot on a hill top with the terrain going downhill in all directions. Had a great camp! #solocamping#hammockcamping#campfirecooking

Installing wood stove in homemade camper
มุมมอง 90310 หลายเดือนก่อน
I installed a Winnerwell wood burning stove in my diy camper. I used two 45 degree angle elbows. I built a box to mount on the outside wall with a 45 degree to make my 45 degree elbows work. The stove draws great and really heats the camper! #woodburningstove#diycamperstove#woodburningstoveinstall
Camping and bow hunting for deer.
มุมมอง 11710 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hauled my new camper to the woods for a few days of bow hunting. Saw several deer and shot one but did not recover it. Came back two weeks later to camp and hunt but got sick!! I rarely use a climbing stand but I did on this trip for a couple of sits. I forgot my fall arrest system but went up the tree anyway. DON'T DO THIS!! Always use a safety harness when hunting out of an elevated stand!! #...

For about the last 30 years Mr Delane, Ms Tonya and their son and daughter, Seth and Taylor have been putting on a dove hunt the first day of season. They cook a feast for all that attend. It is a great time of food and fellowship with good people. The children have a wonderful time and some of them go to the dove field with their parents. Jack I just found your channel. I enjoy the good mix of fishing, hiking and camping with good friends. Wondering if you have ever seen or heard anything strange in your lifetime out in the great outdoors? Subscribed and love your content. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Once after dark I was headed to the truck and suddenly about 40-50 yards ahead of me a racoon started screaming and some creature was going whoop whoop, whoop whoop. Could have been an owl but I have never heard one make that sound. Don't really know what it was. another time I was camped and had just gone to bed when a strange noise happened pretty close to me. It lasted about 4-5 seconds and was loud. About fifteen seconds later it happened again and then that was it. Never heard that sound before or since. I have no idea what that was.
Great Video !!
Thank you
do you think you could camp in this tent with an ac unit and how would you go about drying it out if it was just in only humid weather? (do you still have this tent?)
That’s not a John, that’s a barge! I’m old too
That boat is fine! Thanks!
Those turtles is why I don't use stainless hooks that way they can rot out!
Yeah I hated to leave the hook in him but there was nothing we could do.
Pretty river what part of the country you in.

Thank you very much
Not sure where you fishing, but in Cajun Country we would have been eating some turtle Turtle Sauce Piquante!!! Good Video men.
I am in south Mississippi, we had a Cajun with us! We also caught two very large softshell turtles but here you can't keep turtles from April 1 through the end of May
great lookin camp spot. yep the older you get the more you take its alot of work to set it up but its worth it.
Thanks sir.
The hook will torture the turtle
WE could not get the hook out.
@@jacksoutdoorlife Whether your hook is stainless steel
@user-pk2gf3tj3s would you have stuck your hand in it's mouth to get the hook out? There are only two options. Keep the snapping turtle and eat it or cut the line.
Jack, this was a great one and I hope you do more like this !!! Good friends good times !!! That turtle was gigantic !!! GOD Bless you my friend...
Thanks David, GOD Bless you sir!
Jack, at the end there it was a bit risky trying to push down that dead tree...I was just waiting for one of those dead limbs to hit the skid steer hard !!! Hope it went well and no one was hurt...Enjoyed the video and GOD bless my friend...
They wanted to try to push that dead oak down , a piece did hit the skid steer. No injuries, Thanks David
Just ordered one, agree on price being too high, been using the original LW sit & climb, love it, but checked out this crossover climber and it has more than just lighter weight as an advantage, it is also much quieter climbing, packs smaller and lighter. Thanks for the video.
Thank you I love it
New subsriber from philippines🎉
Thank you !!
Gorgeous scenery my friend! Shots are amazing!
Thanks much sir!
Jack, I like the solitude and the silence was fitting for the camp...Well done and GOD Bless...
Thank you David, GOD bless you my friend!
Jack, this video warms my heart from top to bottom and I only wish I could come up with the words that would describe just how wonderful this is !!! Thanks for this and GOD Bless you and your family my friend !!!!
Hey David! Thanks for watching and commenting! May GOD bless you David!
In the time it took to put this stand on the tree and the noise you made I could have been 20ft up in my summit
Thank you for the tour Jack! I ordered my 13' a few days ago and plan to live out of it up here in Alaska during the warmer months and give it a try over the winter. You're review was great and really sealed the deal for me. Thanks!
Thank you sir, I hope you enjoy yours like I do
Uncomfortable, lol
No way, lol
Tree to big, lol
Jack, I always recommend your videos to fellow hunters on the proper and safe way to use a climbing tree stand...That country your hunting in is thick and looks like deer heaven...You have had a good season and lots of good eating...Thanks for taking us along and I really look forward to fishing videos and more good stuff from you ...GOD Bless my friend...
Thanks my friend. Yes I am starting to think about fishing. May GOD bless you sir!
I’ve had the crossover since late October,I promise this is the best stand on the market for those that hunt way back. It’s apparent watching this video that jack isn’t super familiar with the stand yet. He chose about the largest tree the stand can fit on which makes it tougher to climb. He put the base on first, that’s a rookie mistake, always put the hand climber on first and place high and out of the way, then work on the base. The new crossover design is far superior to the OG hand climber stand. It was worth the expense for me but that’s up to the individual to decide.
Organic material not cleared beneath the stove? Not exactly safe practice.
Cables are bad design Thank you for making this obvious design flaw so evident to me.
If only I was a boomer I could actually afford a decent life.
You sound terribly unhappy
I done decided if it makes my hunting better and i like what I'm buying , I'm gonna get it
I hear you, thanks
Hey there Jack , I recently picked up a mobile climbing setup witch consist of 4 climbing sticks and a stand platform from Novix Outdoors ,it's the Helo hunt ready system, it weighs approximately 18 pounds but is much easier to use than any climber I ever had. It packs up real nice and flat and is very sturdy in the tree. I mostly use that setup now due to the same issues you have experienced with your climbers. the climbing sticks work great and hold extremely well to the tree as well as the stand itself. wish you good luck with your new climber. Thanks for doing this video good luck hunting.
Thank you sir for commenting
Great review. No fluff. You made some great points that I didnt even think of.
Thanks
For $1g I’ll pass , my api 22lb and a lot more easier
