Hi. We are husband and wife. We have two boys- Corey and Jordan. In February 2020, just prior to the pandemic, we set a goal to visit every state park and historic site in Georgia. The kids will also earn Junior Ranger Badges at each stop. As of February 17th 2024, we have visited 41/59. I am going back and making videos from our trips in hopes that it will spark an interest in someone else to visit the beautiful state of Georgia.

Walking Tour at Jarrell Plantation State Historic Site
This was our third stop of the trip. First stops were at Indian Springs and High Falls State Park (go check out those videos if you haven't). This was filmed in February 2022.
There is so much to look at and learn here. At the visitors center we were given a brochure/map for our self guided walking tour. From there we took our time and explored the grounds where the Jarrell Family once lived and worked.

Located in Flovilla, GA (about an hour south of Atlanta) is Indian Springs State Park. Traveler's Rest is located in Toccoa, GA. It was a stagecoach inn and plantation home built around 1815. We had a lot of fun learning and exploring this old building.
New Echota Historic State Park

Located in Calhoun, GA approximately 5 minutes off of I-75 is the New Echota State Historic Site. A must stop for all the history buffs out there! We did a self-guided walking tour.
