Springtrap: The Perfect Horror Antagonist

Here's a way too long video I made about Springtrap and why I think he's cool. These pixel art sections too way too long to make. Music sourced from the Five Nights at Freddy's series Les Toreadors 8 Bit Remix by @Bulby I know I said I'd make a part two to my The Forest video but the game just updated recently and now there's even more to do, so it might take a while. But yeah, thanks for watch...

The Death of Analog Horror
มุมมอง 568K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Analog Horror is a subgenre of horror known for its unique instillation of fear into the viewer and the novely of its concepts. Unfortunately as of late, the genre has fallen into mediocrity and I want to know why. Songs used: John Carpenter - Halloween Theme Junichi Masuda - Lavender Town Theme The Inkspots - I Don't Want To Set The World on Fire (Instrumental) @WhiteBatAudio - Sanity Unravels...

Why do you call Chris a “she”? Call me a transphobe but that thing hasn’t really earned the respect of pronouns or anything. Dude did his own mother for crying out loud, which is one of the latest in a very very long line of terrible things this creature’s done. Giving him an inch, any inch, is enabling him. And you DON’T want that. That’s how we got here to begin with.
Saying that every new entry in analogue horror has to "break new ground," is a bit silly. It's a genre with tropes which can tell effective stories when executed properly. I feel like Greylock is talked down on in this video because it tells its story with tropes and I just think that's entirely unfair. If anything, I think that it's inspiring that analog horror has established such a unique identity for itself, just like the other genres mentioned in the video. There are still plenty who are reinventing the wheel or whatever, but noticing patterns shouldn't completely neutralize enjoyment of any installment in a genre; Appreciating the new ways that pattern is framed feels more right. Anyhow, fuck UrbanSpook and fuck the Painter. There are plenty of shovelware analog horror that just aren't worth the time, but the more that get made, the more Alex Kisters and Alex Kanasas' we get out of it.
I'm gonna be honest, Analog horror for me has never done it right. Mandela Catalogue was the only one I really liked. It feels more of like trying to showcase ocs with backstories instead of scaring you. It's rinse and repeat now. It doesn't even achieve the realism it's based off of. It's just the same formula. Explanation, Scary face, glitch, explanation, cutoffs, details, muting the music, old timey music, text to speech, Like sirterrell04 said: long limbs, that iconic eye. It goes too in depth with information. It all just feels the same. No disrespect, just saying how much analog horror has died and what people should avoid. (Even though I can't make analog horror)
th-cam.com/video/_xIC631VVYI/w-d-xo.html
Do zoomers genuinely get scared by analog horror faces and tv static? Lmfao
It’s the type of horror u have to get into to fear if that makes sense.
@@darkkinkitty you have to suspend disbelief for all horror fiction, that doesn’t make vhs static scary
Claiming that TMM is horror just feels weird to me. It’s surrealism with minor horrific themes. It’s meant to mess with your head not scare you. It’s made for people who make conspiracy boards not fans of horror. (This is coming from a conspiracy board maker and intense overthinker.)
its not her lol its him
Haha. M&M with mustache and is going bald talks about anolog horror
danandphilcrafts revived the analog horror genre btw. if you even care
Lmao the Trump mugshot bit had me cackling
Ehhhhhh i would say Vita carnis is still doing good
Winter of 83 is one of the coolest analog horrors
Im making an ARG website using html in order to tell my analog horror story in a way that is more creative than just the classic analog horror video with spooky image with a crap ton of filters on it.
aw man, it's dead already?
I wouldn't call it the death of analog horror because believe it or not we still get gems to this day yeah they can be a bit hard to find but they are amazing once you do and just like anything in this day and age youll always have people who oversaturat the market trying to enter a genre they don't understand
Doesn't even bother to mention The Oldest View.
I want to like analog horror, I really do. Unfortunately, being born in 1985 means the analog visuals and audio just aren’t scary for me and basing your entire plot around it just doesn’t work. There’s not a single analog horror series that I’ve found that tells a story I’m interested in. The painter gave me hope at first but like you said, there’s no substance there. I know this is a visual medium, but I’m begging you horror creators: start with the story first, not the visuals. And no more scary corporate mascots and animatronics, no more demons and doppelgängers. So sick of all that.
"A sentient exoplanet moves into the Solar System" dude how the fuck do people come up with this stuff, it's groundbreaking
There are no more scary Analog Horror series left
Is didn't did but alright
When I saw the jerma sus face in an analog video i instantly stopped watching lol
Remove the og part and it's scarry again
Its just annoying how all these series use jumpscares for horror, its not scary its just loud and obnoxious, that's one of the main problems with modern horror movies aswell, cheap scares.
Monument Mythos is just... idk what it was doing but it really was not falling into those Analog Horror pitfalls hahaha Honestly, the Urbanspook controversy was weird to me. Yeah that shit happens to kids. It is what it is.
Cheese heads represent.
local 58 came out how many years ago????? I feel so old omg

Kane pixels backroons is pretty great IMO. It's not really meant to be scary, but rather closer to an X-files kind of deal, and I think that works. While it is unfortunate that people latched onto that version more so than the horror of being trapped in an endless space with nothing and no one, I think Kane Pixel's take is nonetheless excellent media.
Intro of this video sounds like he's gonna start a video essay on Magnus Archives
We did live alongside other humans but breeding between Neanderthals and Sapiens was incredibly common so I doubt we had much fear of them
Urban spook is just so.. like what to me. I’m not saying SA or CSA can never be included well in stories but it’s just so overdone, AND making merch of art depicting an SA’d child showed the creator doesn’t take it seriously at all, and in that case you shouldn’t be writing those subjects.
criminal that the video doesnt mention kraina grzybów tv, js
I’ve got an idea for my own analog horror but I’m worried that it is too much like the other ones, no matter what I think of someone somewhere has done it already.
If you want I could tell you once episode one is done, it won’t be on this channel though
This is... nothing. It's just you listing off which analog series you like and which you don't. You pretend you're justified by saying the ones you don't have lots of tropes. But the ones you like have the same tropes. What a garbage video.
Lol this guy really thinks films birthed horror 🤣😂 dude forgot books exist
At this point I feel like with new tropes made eventually they will get old and stale with new ideas already being made and different story lines eeming similar. It feel almost difficult to try and make your own storyline without it having similar elements to another story or without the horror of it still having similar things to this and that. I don't think the community is dead just like every other community, I just think that every idea has kinda been tried so it's hard to come up with something new and original to your work, so props to the creators that actually use creativity with their creations and are making stuff not just to be the next MC or TWF!
Greylock
Wisconsinites rise up! Wisconsin number one Wisconsin number one!!!1!
boiled one phenomenon is so good!
ive been thinking of a series about an abandoned building explorer who goes through a series buildings throughout his city. He hears several noises, footsteps and other sounds while exploring eventually believes that a murderer has been following him throughout his explorations. The episode always ends with him getting back to his car safe and sound. But the twist is that the murderer was hiding in his room since the very first episode and no one has been stalking him outside, and instead its him being paranoid. Im not sure how i would hint at this though since he would have to go back to his house every episode, so i was thinking it could also be a story about a kid worried that there are monsters in his basement so he goes to explore, no monster he tricks himself bla bla bla the same thing, and then when he goes back up to his room the monster has been in his closet the whole night. Now im no writer, or animator, etc so i couldn't make anything like this but i think it could make for a decent series.
Look up Angel Hare. It's an anti-analogue horror.
the. man. in. the. suit
wait, the "soup" thing was a creepypasta? i swear i remember hearing it was real lmao
not even a minute into the video. as soon as i saw trump's mugshot i couldn't hold back my laughter.
i think doctor nowhere is slowly going to revive the analog horror genre
horror elitist mentality
"The death of Analog horror". Man, that crap was born dead, wtf are you talking about?
Jerma syndrome is what killed analog horror for me. it made all videos look samey and boring... i think the key to make a good analog horror series is not to aim for the easy scare factor, but make thigs unnerving enough. that is what local58 did right for me.
Hey dude if you like analog horror try Shipwrecked 64
I think the genre is over used but there are some new series like the boiled one I think it’s called that are newer but still good
