Bluegills are scrappy fighters and fun to catch. They're also a delicate, mild and flaky fish to eat. I love these fish, but typically you need to catch at least 6-8 to make a meal for one person since they're usually small.

Nice, I've got a pretty decent river like 10 minutes away. Thinkin about taking my pack rod and giving the trout magnet a shot, looks like it's workin pretty good for ya! It's also fun cause it's a good gold panning spot but it's gettin HOT. lol those geese know you expected it, I'd watch my back later on.

It's times like this that are the most precious in life and you will remember to your last day. Enjoy these times with your son. They grow up and move away so fast. Blessings.🙏

Here in the upper Great Lakes we eat a small fish called "smelt" and they are eaten whole just like your chubs. What do the chubs taste like, and bones a problen on the larger ones? Great video!

Hate to tell you, but at least one of those little crabs had striped legs which makes it a stone crab and they are definitely illegal to keep. Huge fines! In case you ever come down here and fish again :-)

I made my own "tripod" using a swimming pool foam noodle. I cut a piece about a foot long to straddle my 10" auger hole and cut a slit in the middle about 1/2 way through the noodle. Just place my camera cable in the slit and then I can position the noodle across the hole and turn it 360° plus.
