Ghost ring sites with green day glow front sight

It depends. My 1895 has a 18 inch barrel with ghost rings and the orginal flip rear site. I can hit out to 100 yrs with open sites. For predatory defense, which I train others, the open sites/ghost rings work best. Most shots are 50 yrds or closer. For field use, you'll need to worry about knocking the scope out of allignment etc. w/o scope, its easy to carry!

Those sight's are from "Wild West Guns" in Alaska. They are expensive. "Skinner Sights" are just as good and cost less.

Nice, but don't scout rifles need a forward scope?
