PEPFAR ni mpango wa dharura wa Rais wa Marekani wa kupambana na janga la UKIMWI barani Afrika. Mpango huu ulisainiwa Mwaka 2003 na Rais George W. Bush wa Marekani na hadi sasa umekua na mchango mkubwa sana katika Sekta ya Afya nchini Tanzania.
- Katika kuadhimisha miaka 20 ya mpango huo, PEPFAR ilipata wazo la kuandaa baadhi ya Filamu zinazogusa vipengele tofauti vya janga hili na kutengeneza Filamu tatu ambazo ni SWETA, JASIRI na NIA, zitakazowagusa Watanzania wa ngazi au rika tofauti wakiwemo Watoto, Vijana, Wanawake na Wanaume.

PEPFAR is the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. The program was signed in 2003 by U.S. President George W. Bush. Twenty years later, it has had a significant impact on the health sector in Tanzania.
To commemorate the program’s 20 year anniversary PEPFAR made three films, SWETA, JASIRI, and NIA that touch on the different aspects of the AIDS epidemic that affect Tanzanians of all ages, including children, youth, women and men.
