Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In my small Western Mass town?
Western Massachusetts is full of strange and unexpected history, but did you know it plays a role in one of pop culture's largest phenomena? Who would have thought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would visit Northampton, Massachusetts, of all places?

What started as a desire to tap into my childhood love for insects turned into a transformative experience (pun intended). Witnessing the metamorphosis of a butterfly is an incredibly unique experience, unlike any other. However, what I gained from this experience was even more valuable, and I felt it was important to share not only what I saw and learned about the process but also the signific...

Dinosaurs in Massachusetts???
มุมมอง 1.5K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
The dinosaur tracks in Holyoke, Massachusetts, are a significant paleontological site located in the Holyoke Range. These fossilized footprints date back to the early Jurassic period, approximately 200 million years ago, when the area was a vast floodplain. The tracks, preserved in sedimentary rock, were made by various species of dinosaurs, including theropods and other early reptiles. The sit...

I used to work at Subaru just over the bridge in Hadley, lesbian capital of the world might be an understatement. lol
Corrupt parking enforcement, it was a big story a few years back. Northampton resident of 43 years.
Spiritual or ritual = no idea
Turtles are reptiles, my guy...
Always saw black squirrels in Westfield :) Love 'em
Back In the 60's I learned from my grandpa how to construct these deer blinds the old timers use to use. Most of the time they were built within 10' of a known deer trail. Mostly done on private property and it also worked very well for catching poachers on your property. I'm not saying they didn't have other uses, Just saying what we all used them for. I do know apple cider was kept almost year round in those cool dark holes as well as other crop items. Moonshine as well. I hope as an old man I was able to shed a little new light on your ancient discovery holes. Peace.
I fucking love ya josh local mass resident here!!
Born in Northampton, live in shitty ass florida. Your videos make me want to go home bro.
Northampton is NOT what it used to be!!!
It is still pretty great.

Root cellars would be right next to or beneath a farm house ....
Hey, just wanted to let you know something I just read on the chambers. I am not positive whether or not this is reliable, at the moment, but I live in northeast OH. Apparently, when some of the early residents moved in, a farmer at what is now Youngstown finally got perturbed by a weird hill with a bunch of stone sticking out & decided to dig in & remove it, only to find that it was a collapsed stone chamber with the remains of a fire at the bottom (Youngstown was the site of a Lenape village from approx. 1690-1750). After asking around to see if anyone could make sense of it, a trader who had a lot of experience with the Natives apparently told him that such structures were where they would shelter during the winter months. There were likely more than one in this area, all concentrated roughly near Mill Creek. As this one was on the property of the Lantermans, another chamber was known to locals that wasn't collapsed for years, which the experts claimed wasn't native in origin & it eventually got sealed off to stop people from exploring it & a third may have gotten destroyed when building an apartment complex in Austintown, nearby, though the urban legend claims they destroyed a Native burial ground. But, no bodies were found, just a confusing & seemingly deliberately placed buried structure of flat stones.

I miss New England fall colors. There's nowhere else in the world as beautiful this time of year!
I've been there and have seen other videos about this hill. It's definitely an optical illusion.
Most of the walls were built for sheep!! In most areas, it's illegal to remove field stone walls!! I've seen someone get prosecuted for trespassing onto someone's land to steal the field stone!!!
What puzzles me is that they appear to be undamaged by growing tree roots. If they are that old this seems unlikely to me. Interesting.
I visited one of these sites years ago. Close to Williamstown, MA. Thanks for sharing this.
Complete BS
Can anyone verify his statement about being the lesbian capital of the world? And not one of you mentioned it yet?
Massachusetts is among the smartest states in the country, if not the smartest. So typically we arent morons averse to humans with differences to us. Lesbians likely feel safest in a place like Massachusetts, and western mass specifically.
It's mostly a joke that started in the 1980's when the National Enquirer labeled it "Lesbianville, U.S.A." because a reporter saw two females holding hands in public.
I live here... moved from the Boston area. Almost every time I mention where I live, someone mentions that "fact"... For some reason, it's mostly the flannel type... not much to see. (No offense meant- but if you live here, you know) If you want to "see" something, go watch a game let out at Fenway when the weather is warm.
It is either true , or more or less true. We have a VERY radical and queer local population. Our main crosswalk in town is a rainbow flag, and rainbow flags are abslutely everywhere.. It is assumed culturally that everyone is at least very supportive of queer culture here. Every bar is defacto a gay bar, and openly same sex couples are everywhere I am a cis straight male and it is ridiculously hard to get a date with a completely straight woman because there are just so few of them
HELP I CAN SMELL MY HOUSE IN THIS VID I LIVE RIGHT NEXT TO IT
Offer these places as new home to American homeless !
Hi, single lesbian here. Is that bit about Northampton being the lesbian capital of the world true, or should I cancel my plane ticket?
I got so confused, because Northampton is a town in England, about 45 mins from where I live.
A huge number of American towns, especially those in New England founded as part of the original Colonies have British names , usually taken from wherever the settlers came from We have Leicester Suffolk Essex, Bristol Hampshire and all sorts of other very English town /region names here
Top tier cringe bruh
Turtles are reptiles...
Reptiles g
Northampton is a liberal dump
Turtles are amphibious not amphibians. One is a synonym for semi-aquatic, the other is a specific paraphyletic category that excludes reptiles like turtles.
There’s one in my yard
Am I the only one peeved he called turtles AMPHIBIANS?
The stonemasons were very impressive. Those are freestanding.
did bro say amphibien?
He said lesbian
But he did call the turtles amphibians
They're definitely reptiles, not amphibians
Did you confuse mystery and history?
Born and raised in Hamp.. still there and yes parking sucks. I actually know the real April but I haven't seen her in years.
Awesome video!
We also use to have the “Words & Pictures Museum of Fine Sequential Art”. It was founded by Kevin Eastman, and was open from 1992 until 1999. It was absolutely incredible.
