  • @Mototerminator
    @Mototerminator หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think you got very wrong when discussing the eras of riders. I've been watching MotoGP since 2013 and I swear to god when I look back at some of the races back then, I genuinely question how did I fell in love with this sport back then? The sport had only four factory bikes that used to battle with each other, and every time we had someone like a Lorenzo, Stoner and Pedrosa in the lead, the game was over right there and then. Not to mention they used to win by not just 2 or 3 seconds like these guys right now. Winning by 5-7 seconds was the norm. I think MotoGP's best era came in 2016-2023 when the Aliens really started to struggle and all manufacturers had similar performances. The reason why the top riders like Pecco and Martin crash too often is because they are super close to each other. Just take a case study of Jorge Martin, the current championship leader. Every time this guy crashes, Bagnaia has been right on his rear wheel except for the Sprint crash in Mugello, where he was trying to hang onto Marquez. Same for Bagnaia, who has crashed every time while pushing or attempting a pass. Riders of the past had a lot of time to think and relax corner to corner, these guys don't.

    • @Mototerminator
      @Mototerminator หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also calling current top 2 riders 'Dovi and Checa' is also plain wrong especially considering that these guys absolutely smoke the remaining six bikes. I actually think Martin is a nightmare teammate matchup for a guy like Marquez who has historically made mistakes and struggled against fast starting riders that push the pace from the opening bell like a Jorge Lorenzo back in 2015.

    • @Rob-GP
      @Rob-GP หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting to hear the perspective of someone who started watching more recently. When I talk about before I'm remembering the 2000's, races often felt like they would go to the wire and Rossi was making last lap overtakes every other race. Maybe we always look back through rose tinted glasses though haha

    • @Rob-GP
      @Rob-GP หลายเดือนก่อน

      2012-2016 was a strange period though with all the CRT bike on the grid. Certainly not the pinnacle of MotoGP haha

    • @Rob-GP
      @Rob-GP หลายเดือนก่อน

      @generalaladeen2282 yeah that's not necessarily my opinion I'm just asking the question. I personally do think they're better than that level

    • @Mototerminator
      @Mototerminator หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Rob-GP oks I understand. I also think that the entertainment value of the sport depends on the riders in the championship battle. In the 2000s, we had Rossi, who is notorious for grand slam finishes. So was Marquez in his prime years. The current top 2 are early pace setters like Stoner, Lorenzo, and Pedrosa from 2007-2013 in the past, and their entire strategy is based on getting into the lead and keeping it, whereas riders like Bastianini and Marquez look for the race to play out in their favour and are often faster later on. And usually when these two are involved thats when we see real fireworks.

  • @SunnyKim_
    @SunnyKim_ หลายเดือนก่อน

    There was no green on that corner to be penalized for. My opinion is people need to make up their mind. Last time out Paquarez bashes his way to a win in moto3 and everyone said it was amazing but now everyone is up in arms about this pass? Decide what you want people. It looked worse than it was because Martin sat up and gestured instead of just continuing to race and getting back on line.

    • @Rob-GP

    I feel like the incident was kinda on Pecco, at that point before the contract Alex was probably gonna lose the position and kept his wheel where it probably shouldn’t have been, Pecco closed the door before he was all the ahead at the corner since he didn’t see Alex anymore. - Pecco has a bad habit of believing if he can’t see a rider anymore he’s not there, just like the Le Mans crash with Mav and the crash with Marc in Portugal, then he’ll go blame it fully on the other rider. - I really like Pecco but he could definitely go about depicting his incidents better

    • @Rob-GP
      @Rob-GP 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I can easily see how you can see it that way. I'm still kinda 50/50 on it, maybe slightly more blame on Alex but it is a tough one. Very interesting point about peccos history in these incidents, I hadn't considered that but it probably is relevant here as well. I feel like Jack Miller on a one year contract is the best move for what is available to Yamaha. At this moment in time Yamaha needs to have an experienced rider to try and improve their bike and not necessarily win races or challenge for the tittle. Just try to get the bike better. But the upcoming spec changes in 2027 does add an interesting twist on current bike development.

    Pecco 217 points to Martin 175 in Grand Prix only. Martin leads 95 to 58 in sprints.

      Very interesting, Thank you! Would be a solid lead for Pecco

    Without the sprints Pecco would have a 43 point advantage in the championship. I thought it would be more but Jorge has been consistently fishing 2nd or 3rd reducing the damage.
