How much air can be pressured up into a Air bottle in terms of bar?
A typical air bottle that provides air for the starting of main engine and the auxiliaries will have a working pressure range up to 30 bars, max working pressure at 31.2 and relief valve setting at 3-5% above the max working pressure. However, the auto cut-off for the filling line that triggers the compressor motor off will always be set at a range up to 28.5 bars to accommodate expansion of air in the bottle when the temperature inside the ER is high.

How liner is lubricating??
The oil that is being carried inside the drilled passage of the con rod squeezes and flows out into the gudgeon pin periphery and thereby squeezes out from the peripheral oil holes in the piston ring grooves (3rd and 4th groove) and spreads on the liner in one stroke and is cleaned with the other stroke.

1.Since we do not want the follower to always be on the cam, to facilitate the initial position of roller being lifted of the cam is what the spring does, acting an upward directed force, however when the initial activation with air pressure happens, it pushes the lower piston and exerts a force higher than the spring force to push the roller on the cam. 2. The port is covered and uncovered by the vertical movement of the piston along with the spindle on which it is mounted when the air comes in. This air is vented when the piston again goes back in original position and the lower side vent orifice allows the air to get vented. Thank you for your questions 😄
