I'm interested in going to school for accounting so I was thinking of doing a 2 year Associate's degrees to test how I like it, then transfer to a University and pursue my Bachelors. Would that make sense to do or should I just go straight into my Bachelors, to avoid troubles with transferring credits and/or doubts from potential jobs from only had 2 years of a Bachelors course.

Just stumbled upon your channel, and really like the accounting content considering that is what I graduated with a Bachelors Degree. Also, yes the Beach Flea Market is definitely for new sellers consisting of Vintage/Y2K clothing which I have familiar with since I also sell vintage clothes as a side hussle lol. Overall, I feel you guys would do better at markets consisting of newer clothing brands or a different demographic area such as San Diego or OC area like soul real market would be good! I’m also in the Long Beach area so I’m quite familiar with a few markets but hope this helps!

I know this is a long shot BUTTT I am a senior accouting major and would love to work for a beauty company 🤭

Congrats on your first market. Every one is a learning experience. Since this video is a month old this may have already been purchased however my suggestion is to get hanging mannequin forms and put one of each color suit on it hanging off the tent so it is visible from far away. That way it can catch potential buyers eyes and draw them in from far away. Best of luck with your journey.

Maybe in the future you can consider adding a branded banner and some cheap yet cute body forms to add to each side of your tent so people can see a visual of how the swimsuits can look on their bodies. HIGHLY recommend you use a mannequin to show your product. Hell I would say go as far as being the model and wear the product yourself!

I think you did great for your first Market showing up was the first thing I would say as i was watching it was hard to see your product your swim suits are bomb very cute set you booth up like a beach theme get a couple of mannequins some sun glasses sandals beach bags palm plants and towels for props and I guarantee you will sale promote girl travel trips in your displays and you will kill it you got this !

In regards to manufacturers and vendors making claims and then always get whatever they say in writing. Tell them to confirm through email and save it. That bait and switch on the 300 items was them hustling you because they knew you were new. Look around for other suppliers.

Also don't doubt your prices. You know how much your work cost you, time and materials. Don't be so eager to offer such hefty discounts, have faith in the product. Get signage for your branding. Signage that says YOU designed it. Get more photos taken to show off the product in the booth. And don't forget, you can sell other things that are brand adjacent like sunglasses or towels or maybe hairties that match the suit colors!

You definitely need a mannequin or a body form you can hang to show the full suit on for folks. But congrats!

This is such an important point. Not all of us start a zero or scratch,some of us are born into a deficit. I think it’s important to recognize this and to give your self credit for the strides you make along the way. Honor your progress.

You did it. 👏🏽 I remember my first event and I was so nervous. Was up all night and day trying to get things in order. But the more events I did the better it got. I own a clothing business and most of my sales come from pop-up events. I’ve been doing them for almost 5 years now and sometimes they can be a hit or miss. Here are some tips that helped me, that may help you for your next event: 1) Have your bathing suits already on the hangers when you pack them, that way you can pull them out the bag and straight on the racks it will save you lots of time, 2) Have candy 🍬, customers love candy and that helps attract customers to come to your tent (starburst work for me 😊) and 3) customers like to know what the item looks like on, so maybe invest in a mannequin or get sign holders with pics of you or a model wearing the bathing suits. And remember to have fun. The first few events you may not sell much but use that time to get your brand name out there by handing out business cards with a QR code so they can go straight to your website. Don’t get discouraged and market, market, market. You got this! Best of luck to you ❤

Hey girl! I also sell swimsuits at markets. The first few markets I did I sold nothing! I found I had to add products to my booth to bring people in. So I tried my hand at everything. Jewelry, cups, pouches, pictures, crochet. Now I get a good amount of swimsuit sells just from people coming in to look at the other items. Maybe there are some items you enjoy making that you can add to your booth related to swimwear.

I just started markets too!! I sell bath and beauty products. My best selling items were $4-16. I brought a bunch of baskets priced similarly to your swimsuits and only sold one over two days. Folks really aren’t trying to spend a lot these days, try adding smaller priced items, and facing your booth out front so folks walking by can quickly see what you sell. But you’ll get there!! Love the marketing!
