Orston shooting ground is one of the UK’s leading clay shooting facilities located in the Nottinghamshire countryside bordering Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Provides clay shooting practice, competitions and tuition facilities for sporting clays, Skeet, DTL and driven/simulated game. With over 25 sporting stands it operates using the Promatic claymate system where a solo delay system is available if required. Open Tuesday to Saturday 9-5pm all year round. Also an on site gun shop housing all major shotgun, rifle and air rifle brands including country clothing, accessories and ammunition. Its a CPSA Premier Plus facility (top rated) and also a Promatic Centre of Excellence for clay shooting facilities. Provides tuition for individuals, groups and parties of the highest quality. Cafe providing quality hot food and refreshments Tuesday to Saturday 9 - 3:30pm.

Today,rifles are made to be balanced and therefore lighter, but thats why the recoil is stronger and the misses are bigger .Its not normal for a supermagnum rifle to weigh only 2.8kg.Im excelent hunter and i know what a rifle is.
