Nicely restored 1965 Honda CB160 in blue and silver for sale
This video shows off a frame-off restoration of numbers-matching 1965 Honda CB160 supersport. In the video we walkaround the bike and show it running and show all the electrics working. The bike is up for sale locally (Jacksonville, FL) and on eBay.

The bike was listed on eBay March 2019 and sold for $5100 (to American Honda Motor Company!!) I finished one just like September of 2020 which sold on BringATrailer for $7600 so values seem to be going up. Thank you for your question.

Hi Gerald, I love doing CB160s and have done 3 since 2016. This blue one was actually purchased by American Honda Motor Co. for use as part of its it 60th anniversary celebration. Beautiful Bike! I was lucky enough to be given the same bike. However it's a barn find and needs restoration. Any advice on where to start for parts etc? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! Congrats on your barn-find. I always start looking to see if Honda still makes a part. For example, you can still buy mirrors from Honda. But be careful as some parts you can buy today are not the same as they were then. For example, they might send you a bolt that needs a 12mm or 13mm socket that back in the 60s would have used as 14m socket. When I buy Honda parts I buy them from partzilla.com as they have good prices and fast shipping. For just about everything else you'll most likely have to rely on eBay. There are a couple of other good sites to check also: Nick at www.ohiocycle.com and Tim at classhondarestoration.com Also for repro rubber parts you can check clauss studios. For electrical stuff such as correct connectors and vinyl sleeving try vintageconnections.com A guy named Bill Silver sells a couple of books detailing how to restore these bikes and how to overhaul the engine. Cool bike. The only thing I don't love is the blacked out pipes, but that's not a deal breaker. What kind of handle bars are on it? I like those.
Hi, Thank you. Yes, blacking out the mufflers was not first choice, but chrome was very bad and no budget for re-chroming. Handlebars are Emgo "Daytona". Thanks again for looking and taking the time to comment. - Jon

@@daveco1270 Appreciate that. Not a living, but a hobby/side-business. I've redone 9 bikes since 2012. Some I restore such CB160s (I'm just now finishing my third) and others I customize. I have two others in addition to this one for sale on eBay now.
Wish I still had my 64 red one just like this. Lots of storys and road it for 3-4 years all over Colorado and southern Wyoming back then. One story.... A guy I knew had a 350 Ducati and we went out on a lone paved road in ne Colorado and my 305 beat the Ducati. The guy took it to his dads import auto shop and told his dad to fix it cause this 305 just whipped my ass . That 305 has so many memories to this day and now I'm in my 70's....

Nice work. I appreciate the attention to the details obviously a job of a pro. Not a fan of the viper fairing but you maid it look pretty good.
