Depends what peg your fishing. Majority of the lake is firm/silt. No issues with weed. The tighter you get to snags there's obviously leaf matters and small twigs etc. Size wise I believe there's a 30, 28 that are know and a fair few 20lbers to go out. There's a good mix of ornamentals to go at too.

I'm there on Friday 16th for 24hrs peg 3 till Saturday midday

All the ornamentals I've had out from there seem to have been from down the other end of the lake where it's deeper, may just be coincidence, I'm not sure.

To be honest we used to see em down the far end in the snags all the time

@@BcfcTalk hard to say why you didn't catch more. 5 isn't bad considering the high temps we've had recently. All depends what areas you were fishing aswell. 20mm is a biggish bait. I only fish 12-15mm hookbaits personally. Bigger baits do whittle down the bigger fish but then that may limit the numbers you catch. Well done on what you did have mate 👍🏻

Great fun but also bloody nerve wracking. They go where they want to go. It's like hooking onto a steam train then waiting for it to run out of steam 🤣🤣🤣

I can highly recommend the ND S9 alarms. They are rechargeable so no need to carry spare batteries. Never had any issues with them. Around £120 for 3 alarms and a receiver

I sold my whole set up last year. Only just starting back up and just bought 2 single alarms with no receiver

@@thedorsetcarper3219 I'm looking to use corn an hemp I think. I found margins good there. Last time I got snapped off so gone up to good 18 lb line and much better rods so fingers crossed for some good action.

@@garylowe8601 let me know how u get on. There's a good spot right across the far margin off the snags to the right. And down the left hand margin in front of an old in wood jetty.
