Hello and welcome to my channel!
Here you’ll find everything to do with my disc golf and personal life off the course. I would like for this channel to be a genuine way for everyone to get to know me. Not just the professional I am during competition.
So I plan to make as many videos as I possibly can whilst on tour.
For those who have been following me through my journey thus far, and to those who eventually may join, I thank you. A lot of the opportunities that I have had are because of you.
I hope you enjoy my content!

Hardest course in Iowa?
For me this course was the hardest in Iowa for its constant wind with water everywhere, incredibly difficult wood shots that are crucial to hit and the grind of finishing 24 straight holes while climbing up steep hills.
The park recently had to drain the lake for erosion and the areas needing fixed were back filled and replaced with large rocks (as you’ll see in the video). They also built habitats for the aquatic wildlife and in order to get their equipment in they took down a lot of trees that defined many holes and took away their teeth (so to speak). They also built a concrete walking path which runs through a few holes in the middle stretch of the course. So some walking spectators might need a warning before you just rip it.
All in all the park needed to fix these issues otherwise the baskets near the shore wouldn’t even be able to stay there and it would need a complete redesign. I still think it does but I digress.
Enjoy the video!

Went out to my local course Eastern Park on a cold and windy morning round in an attempt to shoot under par only throwing forehands! It was fun and I challenge anyone to do the same and see if they can shoot under par! Thank you all again for the support I greatly appreciate it. 3 DISC ONLY CHALLENGE
มุมมอง 1.2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Went out to my local course Eastern Avenue Park to try and shoot the course record in its current layout. The challenge is to use only 3 discs of your choosing (no mulligans) go to your local course and rip it. The discs I chose were all BC Ledgestone edition discs ⬇️ 1) Esp swirl force 2) Z swirl Nebula 3) Esp swirl roach Also first one to name the person in the comments that I shoutout in thi...
*PUTTERS ONLY* challenge on my home course!
มุมมอง 7095 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Kratos is quickly becoming a staple in my bag. I wanted to see how many under par I can shoot with just putters and what better place to do it than my home course here in Davenport, Iowa. Eastern park is wide open with lengthy par 3s, you better have your drivers and fairways ready, or in this case putters! I hope you all enjoy the video! Thank you for watching. *Chess.com Invitational* RECAP

Welcome to my channel! Here’s a quick and simple recap of the chess.com invitational presented by Discraft. Towards the end of the video you’ll find me and the Finns playing Tom Brown Park, hope you enjoy! I personally enjoyed OLYMPUS. *REVIEW* New Paige Pierce test flight from Discraft.
มุมมอง 6K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Welcome to my channel! Here’s a review of the new Paige Pierce test flight from discraft. I’m also throwing the testflight scorch in comparison, it seems to be the closest disc by feel. In this video you’ll find me throwing discs on different angles, my thought process of each flight and comparing the two discs. Let me know in the comment section what you think the numbers will be based on what...
Glad to see this course played so well. Even with the missing trees and it playing a few strokes easier, it’s still a bear! I play it pretty much every time I’m back in the QCs. Thanks for the video, Ben!
Starting a new job in the quad cities. Gonna need some top course recommendations.
Camden 1 and 2, Westlake park, devils glen park, middle park, prospect park, eastern park, goose creek and Richmond hill park. To name a few 😄
Have you played Wildcat Bluff? Might give this a run for its money on difficulty
I have! That course is very challenging arguably right up there for toughest. I’m just biased towards Westlake mostly because it’s giving me the biggest trouble during competition.
Come out to Sterling and do a round at Sinnissippi
Maybe one day
Can we get some action from C2!?
Yes I will some day but I’ll need help with that one, camera setups are tricky when you’re by yourself on that course.
I never knew about this course! I usually play at Eastern (more my level) but I sometimes drive past this park and think it would be a nice place to camp. I'll have to check it out sometime!
Definitely worth checking out! Now’s a good time to play with the lake being frozen.
What camera/mic do you use?
Just my iPhone and Boya wireless microphones.
Would love to see a vid at wildcat. Not sure how close you are, or how easy filming would be.
Maybe ☝️ day!
If your ever in the waterloo area, exchange park, big woods, deerwood.. all really good courses
Definitely played exchange a few times. Never the other two though, if I’m there I’ll check them out!
Love the content wish you would tell us what disc your throwing and why you chose that disc. Keep it up alway one of my favorite putter on tour
I might for future content or atleast have a quick picture pop up on screen before I throw. Right now I want the audience to just enjoy the disc golf that’s happening.
Kind of reminds me of Clevland lake in KC. One of the many gems in Kansas City.
I don’t know if I’ve played that one before.
@ what courses have you played in KC other than bad rock I’ll assume?
@ waterworks, blue valley, swope, cliff drive and bad rock.
@ oh mannn lol you been in some interesting parts of town I see I work downtown those are some rough areas cliff is basically abandoned at this point I’ve been in unsafe stations there when I practice on break alone. I say this with all respect but you’ve been led astray! Although swope/cliff are just wide open courses for bombs away. Waterworks bees knees instant classic (new teepees and layouts too) black hoof gold level wooded track well manicured and free to play. Play “the tips” for uber challenge only pros could score (but fair) Bad Rock of course Clevland Lake mixture of park and wooded, reminds me of your video a bit with lakes Cedar: just pretty fairways lined by cedar trees, clear lines, scoreable but specific Legacy: nice park style as well, the back 9 gets more challenging Rosedale Park: old heads love it park style course, can be really busy as it’s closest to down town If you had time for two I would say black hoof and clevland lake. Then revisit waterworks on way out. I’ve only been playing less than two years but feel fortunate to be in KC as I feel spoiled. Iowa looks to be abundant in courses too!
What was that spit out 😂😂 thanks for the comedy
Glad you enjoyed 😄
Ben have there ever been any tournaments filmed here before?
Yes! There’s Jomez footage of this course from 2019.
For a second on hole 3 I thought there was a dude sleeping on the bench. But it must be freezing there
Did you change putters and Are you still putting with the roach
I did. I switched to the CT swirl Kratos during my practice rounds at Jonesboro this year.
Beautiful scenery, excellent camera shots and of course, stellar disc golf. Thanks for the relaxing content. Gonna go out and play now. BTW: You sort of look like a young Cory Feldman...but you're probably too young to know who that is. Good luck in 2025!
Thank you and you’re welcome. Haha I appreciate the comparison. “Hey I’m in the prime of my youth and I’ll only be young once”
I haven't seen this course since they did work on the property and it's a bummer about the trees that were removed. The course still looks like it has plenty of teeth and you definitely made it look too easy in this video.
It's always fun to see what you can make look easy, right? However I did play with the wind down and in the fall when the rough is more forgiving
I absolutely love this course and I've only played it once (twice). It was the grand opening tournament and an attempted two-a-day with all divisions, Int/Rec were sent away after lunch. Pro/Adv still finished in the dark for the last few holes.
That sounds like westlake 😄
They really opened up hole 12. That used to be such a tough approach into the green. You made that look so easy!!!
I miss the old hole. Such a tough birdie. Thank you 🙏🏻
They really opened up hole 12. That used to be such a tough approach into the green.
wish they would update this course and add it back to the rumble. they have the entire other side of the lakes to build another course if they really wanted.
@@queueburt8392 I was told the reason it wasn’t in the mix was too many people complained about how bad the rough was to play in so they took it out of rotation also because of the construction. Maybe one year soon it will comeback! 🤞🏻
For the record, there’s two additional courses sketched out at that property. One on the north side (over the road from 10 and 11), and another one on the east side (over the bay from hole 19). The county was only interested in one at the time we built it, but feel free to ask again. They were great to work with!
I know those shots are a lot harder than you made them look. Lots of changes out there since last time I played
They certainly are. I’m also playing in the fall so all the rough is scarce. Makes the fairways seems HUGE.
Wow hole 8! Being able to see the basket is crazy!!!
Right??
Do they have any tournaments here these days? I drive by this place all the time but never had a chance to play
Not as often these days. I’ve heard the park is hard to deal with at times and course maintenance is huge being 24 holes.
Bro shot -20 casually
Wasn’t even keeping score. Just throwing shots. I was fortunate to have conditions on my side though.
Heya, just a heads up: to keep the mic secure, you want to attach it to the brim of the cap, just before the visor. Not on the bill/visor itself. It's a lot more secure that way. I've dropped these mics myself, so hopefully this helps you. 🙂 (great video, btw!)
Appreciate the insight! 👍🏻👍🏻 and thank you!
@@BenCallaway No problem! Always glad to see you drop these videos. Your form is so much fun to watch!
That drive and aproach on 18 were nasty! My favorite course in the area for sure.
Thank you Shannon!
This course should rlly be on the pro tour, I remember watching Paul Mcbeth shred this course in some tournament.
“The Rumble” is the event you’re thinking of!
its a great challenging course for most people, but the touring pros destroy this course. and with the rough basically gone on a few of the holes, i do think its "too easy" for them.
@drewk5972 idk about “destroy” and I agree it’s not tour ready in its current layout. That being said with some trees missing from construction the rough on holes 3, 5, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 24 are still very much there.
I remember playing with Mike there, and teeing off on a windy day, from the berm and my two best dics just sailing right into the lake! How many times have you gone swimming there to get your discs back?😁
Make the hardest holes look ez and the straight forward ones hard 😢
I get bored.
You got some smooth form Ben. I love the silence as well. Nice change from the monologues Broderic, Ezra, Brodie, and Big Jerm have when I’m tryna watch some DG. Come to Lockport IL and shoot the Canyons. You’d love that course. Lots of discraft enthusiasts there
Thank you! I appreciate the love. I still haven’t played the canyons believe or not. Definitely have to make a trip.
@ I believe it. Touring pro. Not from IL. It’s a better time than shooting Northwoods, guarantee that. Reach out to Sean and he’ll make sure you have a great experience. If I see you there you gotta show me how to play 100 points better than my rating lol
I wish I was this good using backhand and forehand
Practice makes improvements. I got where I am simply throwing one after another.
@ That’s true! See you on tour one day!
Did you do fall lefty throws yet
Not yet. But that will happen. Putts as well? Or just tee shots and approach’s?
Dang man you throw so well dude. I always root for you btw when you are in the lead.
Also whats up with everyone just playing 9 in hard conditions ?
I have a wife and we homeschool our daughter. Can’t be out here for hours.
@@BenCallaway Didnt know that and im just saying out here in The claw we spin put cause of very high winds. Respect you Ben Btw didnt mean anything harmful =D
get a berg for this
Im sponsored by Discraft wouldn’t make sense for me to use a disc that’s made by a competing manufacturer
@BenCallaway still would be a solid choice for that challenge lol
@ you’re not wrong!
@@BenCallaway Glad you dont disagree also im sorry if i shit on your sponsor, i have multiple disc from them and even one of your stamps lol so its all good bud. =)
Futting
Haha yes.
What did those baskets ever do to you?! Seems like you were trying to break them in two lol love it!
Just proving that veterans can actually catch the disc.
what camera and mic do you use?
Simple iPhone 13 and Boya wireless mics
@@BenCallawayappreciate it!
The lack of commentary was very refreshing and peaceful. Also cool discs
Thank you 🙏🏻 I appreciate you saying this! And the discs are cool 😎
dope track
quick question. is a nebula more or less overstable than a malta
Less stable than a Malta. Imagine throwing a buzzz that can handle wind, that’s a nebula.
@@BenCallaway sounds perfect. can't really trust good ol buzz rn so def gonna get a nebula
Fantastic.
Sweet video! Discgolf asmr
🙏🏻
I like the routine of taking a big inhale through your nose after every single throw. Something I’ll have to consider incorporating into my game.
You’ll be surprised the wonders it can do for your game.
Oh yeah, and shout out Jake Wolf! You can drop my disc off at Iron Lion, haha. Thanks Ben you the man!
lol you got it! Nicely done! ✅
Well that was the most casual -15 I've ever seen at eastern...Great round Ben!
How about hole 19?
Completely forgot about it! But with how I was throwing and putting that day it was a birdie 😎
My hero
You always know just what to say. 😑
This is how smooth everyone envisions their round going before they get to a course like this.
100%
Ngl the throw and then walk away is cold 🥶
