In 1994, I borrowed a CD from a schoolmate. It was the soundtrack to the movie "The Crow". An incredible soundtrack that would have a lasting impact on me. It featured a song called "Milktoast" by a band I hadn't known until then - #HELMET. The song completely blew me away and opened up an entirely new musical world for me. To this day, #pagehamilton remains one of my greatest role models and sparked my interest in Jazz music.
On November 29, 2024, Helmet stopped at the Frankfurt Zoom as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of #betty - for me, it was an unforgettable evening. After they played the entire album, there was an additional set and encores featuring more songs from their discography. Of course, "Unsung" from their 1992 album #inthemeantime couldn't be left out.
