What an absolute beauty! Steam trains, and the Blue Peter in particular, are just so appealing. Don't really know why. They just are.
Love it, keep up the great work.
Holy crap that thing is big!!!
Great job 👏
Another fabulous job done
Well done LSL, great job on this stunning locomotive and great to have it back in mainline service.
How long had B.P. been out of service?
Excellent work, everyone. What a gorgeous blue beast. Looking forward to seeing Blue Peter on static display, sadly not in steam, at Severn Valley spring steam gala this coming weekend.
Fantastic job , but seriously re tune her chime whistle.
Nice locomotive and my name Petr 👍
Oh my goodness! I don't remember it being this big!
Im waiting for it to return to durham viaduct💀
Very nice
The engine blue peter is based Gordon the big blue engine gordon is survivor of the preservation 😊
My son is special needs and he loves trains 🚆🚋🚞🚝🚊🚉🚈🚇🚅🚄🚃🚂 they're one of his favorite things in the whole world 🌎. He and I both really like British steam locomotives like that one because they closely resemble the ones in the Railway Series and Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends. He also thinks that Blue Peter reminds him of Gordon The Express engine because of its size, color, and wheel arrangement.
Welcome back.
Is this a original or a replica like the tornado?
0:49 I was here on that day seeing that loco for the first time ever coming to do testing at the Severn Valley Railway at the same time as the private tour and flora dmu
Gawd bless all those involved in the restoration and making this locomotive look like a new build.. and gawd bless Geoff Drury for making it possible x
Does anyone notice that the blue Peter's body is actually an A1 tornado's body?
It’s because Blue Peter is an A2, both Tornado & Blue Peter are Peppercorn Pacifics A1 & A2
She is my age! ...and much more handsome.
A minor point but the cabside numbers are too close to each other......look at earlier photos to confirm. Wonderful restoration BUT WHY not complete the finer detail correctly?? Surely the older loco restorers can see this error?
Well done to all involved... great to she her finally back in steam!!!
Why she got a kangaroo scraped to the lamp iron
OMG! the last time I saw Blue Peter was in one of the sheds on the NYMR, and it still had the damaged valve gear rods etc. Glad to see it back!
Excellent footage there of Blue Peter in action on the Severn Valley, fantastic loco, congratulations to the staff at Crewe for a first class overhaul.
Hopefully 2024 brings together an A1, A2, A3 and A4 all in the same spot, I wonder which railway could handle the demand?
The GCR, maybe?
Can't wait to see this in person at somepoint!
What a great engine. It makes the heart swell. Joe
Thank you to.all.at LSL for being the custodian's of our railway heritage and keeping it alive and kicking on the main line
Good capture here! Love the drone footage
Wonderful to see this really beautiful loco back in action - sincere thanks to all involved in the restoration 💝
Wow....what a great looking engine. As a child I loved watching these steam monsters. This engine is just too good. Well done to all those involved in getting this giant on the tracks again.
Will she come up to Scotland at some point this year, she’s one of the locomotives I hope to see this year?
She looks stunning, great to see her back. She’s been a miss
Beautiful very beautiful good ❤❤❤❤
Stunning absolutely stunning , what an achievement, Christ that good great in blue
Gordon would be proud
Why not bring back all steam trains back & reopen all the coal mines back as well so we can all relive the days ?.
I think it would be fitting to get a crest of the Blue Peter badge and stick it on the side of the boiler would look fitting a nod to it being on the show back in the day tho probs need the bbc\bluepeter for the ok... The girl needs her badge
First Talyllyn, now Blue Peter, and Beachy Head isn't far off either. What a year!
I’m not surprised that over 29K have watched this video so far , you have so much of interest and I sincerely hope you use this video as a stepping stone to much greater things .
Well done everyone, Good to see it back
Congratulations from Argentina!!!!!
Outstanding work to all who have helped restore this beautiful machine. The shade of blue is so rich!
Welcome back blue peter, The rails await your return.
Bravo to all involved. Well done.
Very many thanks to all involved in this magnificent restoration, Suits the livery so well..
(Dont say it looks like Gordon. Dont say it looks like Gordon.)
