I have taken on the challenge of self-filming my hunting, and other outdoor adventures as a contribution to the outdoor community. I absolutely love watching other people's hunting adventures and learning from their experiences. I hope that I can share some of that with other people through this channel.

Nice review.
Dillon - great video and enjoyed the "grizzly cough" humor.
Thanks Bill! Hope to see you again next year!
I’m running the Vortex kaibab 15x56 binos and ended up going with the Marsupial and Kuiu packs. I’m really digging the no mag marsupial pack
That's good feedback. Thanks for commenting
Don’t want magnetic closure if you run a kestrel ballistic wind meter or run a compass.
Anyone know if my 10x50’s will fit in the small size? The 10x42’s drop in easily I see, but I’d want to keep the pack small as possible.
Hello! It’s Max! You Probably Know Me By My Dad
Heck yeah! Also we share a Grandpa. Gear job with your channel little man!
@@NotchingTagsthanks! It’s kinda rough coming up with ideas so I don’t upload to much
The one you choose has no range finder pouch and you said that was very important so your reasoning for picking the one you picked doesn’t make sense .
I have both angle 65mmATS📐 & straight 80mm STM Swarovski Glass HD Both of them. I find straight more comfortable Yep definitely
Holy crap youre literally the first of like 7 videos to show and say theres a trigger safety. Hmm are we going to have to ffl muskets now too lmao. Youre awesome, other ppl shouldn't be allowed to tie their own shoes... Anyway getting mine in 2 days. Thanks for the showcase
Good luck out there this year!
Molle(molly) webbing, any military gear or anything that can attach to it will work.
Man after my own heart. You closed the video at your reloading bench.
@RoxVrod yes ultimately it is the best out there in my opinion
Modular lightweight load-carrying equipment, or MOLLE (pronounced /ˈmɒl.liː/ MOL-lee, is the current generation of load-bearing equipment and backpacks used by a number of NATO armed forces, especially the British Army and the United States Army.
I think you are not being fair with the Eberlstock product concerning what it comes with. The entire Eberlestock line of products, including packs, is based on a modular system. You can customize what you want based on the mission of the outing.
Someone didn’t watch till the end. 🤣
Which model is this? Thanks.
Sv46. 20x60x80. Don't buy the combo with the tripod. The tripod is garbage
@@NotchingTags Thanks!
Angled ! 37 years of experience.
I appreciate it man. Trying to decide right now do I get an angle, straight or large Bino like 18x
After having all three I can tell you there is no perfect solution lol. The one thing I haven't tried is one of those new mini ultralight spotters. I think that might be the answer for me.
@@NotchingTags I sort of know I’ll end up with a spotter, and a large magnification bino just can’t decide what is next. I live outside of Yellowstone so you know the country I spend time in. I feel like for adding to my hunting the 18x binos are the move but for everything else ie; trips to Yellowstone with the family, taking photos of wild life and that day I get my goat tag, the spotter is the move… sooo I’m a mess and can’t decide.
Ha ha I know the struggle
Great Video
Thanks man! Is this the Jon I know?
I'd be embarrassed to post a video like this.
I thought about editing some stuff out and just showing the fairytale hunt people want to see but that would be lying. This is how it went. There are many things I would do different if I had it to do over. One of my goals with the channel is to be real with my viewers. But yes, I definitely thought about cutting some of it out. Thanks for watching.

Is that vortex harness the small or large size?
Large
@@NotchingTags does it seem overly bulky when you only have 10×42s in there?
It's been a while since I made that video but I don't remember thinking it was bulky at all. If your only using 10x42s I'm sure the small would be just fine
@@AustinV327I have the vortex great value for the money . I have the large and it is not bulky at all .
How do they do in the rain?
I can't say I have really worn them much in the rain. They are fantastic pants but I would say they are more like a utility pant. Pretty good at everything but not specialized in anything. I live in the dessert so I hide from the rain lol

That looks like a lot of fun! The little fellas will remember this!
Yes they will! It was all they could handle but at the end of the day they said they had fun.
Locating then did awesome and sneaking in. The shooting out of the tree not so good. Definitely something I wouldn't be showing on TH-cam.
Well we didn't want to walk away from a bird that was most likely wounded. Totally agree that shooting them out of a tree is not very sportsman like. I put it on the video because it was reality, and I don't want to pretend that we never make mistakes. Thanks for watching
Lame. High fence property, shooting basically tame deer with freak genetics that will basically never occur in wild conditions. These guys each paid$10k+ for this lol.
So given the opportunity you wouldn't do it? I agree it's not my idea of hunting but I still think it would be a fun trip and a fun experience.
@@NotchingTags No I would not. I could go on two separate public ground 10-day hunts in NZ for that money (including flights from CA) and shoot 6 animals minimum. And I wouldn't have to be embarrassed to show my videos from a High Fence hunt.
Hey get that all lined up and send me an invite lol. Sounds epic
There is a handful of outfitters that do hunts for true wild free range stags in NZ. I know one, they get world class stags on private land, it's a hard hunt but doesn't involve high fences or farm stags, actual hunting. They took what would have been the no.1 SCI free range stag a few years back, all wild the the real deal.
Thanks for that info. I like the hard hunts. If someday I get the opportunity that is exactly how I would like to do it. "The most memorable things in life come with some level of discomfort".
That's not hunting. deer fenced in
Well I wasn't there and if they really are fenced in than I totally agree. Still a cool experience. I agree that high fence hunting is not hunting.
There is a DVD set on eBay which shows how I use "Low Pressure Smokeless Loads in a 209 Factory Muzzleloader".
What about it? It's been a while since I made that video

Appreciate all the info u have provided, as a new hunter in Eastern Washington I am gathering tips and tricks I can and your channel has been helpful. Thanks
Thank you I really appreciate that. If you have any more questions or curiosities let me know and I will either answer you or maybe make another video about it. Good luck this year!
@@NotchingTags thanks bro
He aint too big gonna be like 150” prolly. Depending on when he shed
Thanks for the feedback. I have to agree. He is at about the highest eleven you can get in Washington state so I think he is behind the curve as far as growth goes. The low land bucks seem to be farther along. Just my theory
Deer
Yes?
Lmao😂😂😂😂😂
Oof
Yeah I just started shooting archery and this is a definite fear of mine lol
I have 10 pairs. 4 pairs have broken zippers due to zipper teeth separation. Had the zipper break wearing Verde Attack pants on a hunt. Not durable. Chinese manufactured garbage. Yes, they ARE made in China. Some in Taiwan.
Thanks for the feedback. I haven't had any zipper problems yet but it doesn't sound like I have put as many miles on them as you have. I didn't know they were made in China. That surprises me considering the price point! I have to assume you have 10 pairs because over all you like them, right?
@@NotchingTags yeah, until the zipper teeth started to separate. They have replaced pairs in the past but 4 pairs in a row have the same EXACT issue. They used be made in Canada. Attack pants are made in China. I have some things made in Taiwan but it is mostly China. I love the Attack pants but the zipper issue is bad. Was on a turkey hunt and had my verde pant zippers break. They are touted as durable. They are but not the tiny miniscule zippers. I have an Axis Hybrid jacket with stitching coming undone. It's only single stitched. $300 jacket. All Chinese made with NO quality control
All good to know. Thanks for sharing.
What color is are your pants?
@@user-Alaskan7676 The 4 pairs are major brown, bourbon, khaki and loden. Why?
Putting them kids to work. A real dad right there
Thanks. They love to feel like they are helping, so I try to involve them as much as I can.
@@NotchingTags that’s sweet man. I hope you take them on lots of fishing adventures
Hi. Does this Bino Harness have molle webbing at the bottom?
Gosh, im sorry man I can't remember. It's been a while. Too bad I missed that detail
OK. I will tell you in the end of this month. I just ordered one😅. I would love to get an Alaska Guide Creations Bino Harness. Thing is that bino harnesses are not common at all in europe/ Germany. Since I can't compare which size fits best and almost every bino harness of any brand has to be imported to Germany which means increase the price Tags. Now I thought: Why not try the Boundless Performance for 60 bucks. And Upgrade later to AGC if I Like the size and useabilty. Thanks for your video 😉
No problem and thank you for watching.
The bino harness hast molle webbing in the bottom 😉. I Like it very much. Now I know that this size fits my gear. I will upgrade to Alaska Guide Creations as soon as the other one tears up. Greetings
@@benbiird5568 Right on man! Good to know. Thanks for getting back to me. Good luck this season!
Such a strong boy
Definitely a little trooper
You crushed a few dinks. Your definitely not conservatives. Out of state deer hunting is whipping out the species
If the species was being whipped out, your state would not sell multiple tags including doe tags to out of state hunters. Second, a dead deer is a dead deer. Whether a "dink" or 200 inches. It's still just filling a tag that I rightfully obtained from your state. Thanks for watching
Hahaha ouch i seen that first cast thought he was goin to get his dad didnt expect it to hit lil mans face.😅 ugh that cringe to the gut
I know that could have been worse. I think we all learned a little lesson there.
That’s a big fish that kid hooked it was the size of him
exactly the same size lol
I don’t want to be that dude, but if you’re fishing you should probably carry some antiseptic for stuff like this. A full grown dude got punctured with a hook while fishing and died a few weeks later from a bug that got on the hook and entered his bloodstream. He died of total organ failure. While it’s rare for that sort of thing to happen, it doesn’t hurt to play it safe, especially when it comes to bodies of water where who knows what’s in it.
Are you kidding me?! Thats crazy! I should definitely carry a complete first aid kid with these two let me tell you.
@@NotchingTags it’s not just for hooks either. Bluegill dorsal spine punctures can get infections too. They hurt like hell also.
Little dude kept fishing, took that like a champ. That however is exactly the reason I don't put hooks on the ends of anyone's lines (kide or otherwise) when I'm teaching them to cast, just a weight
yeah, that's what I should have done. All they wanted to do was cast anyway.
An earring? He almost lost an eye
well yeah...lol but I didn't want to scare him
Champ.
isn't he though!
Yes. Raising him right. Great job dad. And mom. He will grow and know how to handle things. I have a 20 and 16 year old. I miss them youngen days.
Thank you! Yeah I wouldn't mind if they would slow down on the growing up thing. They are at such a fun age right now.
Lol gotta have stories to tell ur buddys while ur fishin, heres ur first
He's getting a good jump on the big fish stories
Nothing a little ice cream and a “let’s not tell mom about this okay?” Can’t fix
ha ha yeah, Mon didn't find it very funny
My dad was teaching me in the grass when i was about there age, went to retrieve the lure, hook in my thumb. This a memory he wont forget 🤣
ha ha that's awesome. Yeah, he probably won't let his brother cast to close to him ever again.
