Hey I have a 2001 solara 3.0 6cyl, any suggestions on what I should do to it
what you use to tune your car
@@jpalacess4735 smt 6 piggy back with some random license from a Hyundai genesis tuner. If i care enough about it in a few months ill make a tutorial on it
@@kennyurdanofuall534 looking foward on tutorial i have a solara se 3.0 2001 5spd am trying to get it tune but they keep saying theres no tuning for this kind of vehicle
That is not a short on ramp
@@derrickjackson2092 i was meaning a short acceleration, not the onramp itself lol

Its an entrance bucko
great race! Shows the difference between n/a and fi, 0-60mph its real close and you could see where the genesis really starts pulling. Nice stuff
appreciate the comment man! yeah my car (g35) just has more low end torque so it can really take off right away. His car also has about 50 more whp than mine but you can see that it takes longer for him to get to that peak hp because he is FI. So good observation! Still a super fun race nevertheless.
@@kennyurdanofuall534 yup 230whp na vs 270-280whp fi expected outcome
That sucks it cant stay in it
Parts List and Tuner used , can you yourself tune an ecu if one was sent to you or do you have to be in the car ?
@@fruitfulfigtree2195 in this video: headers, catless y pipe, stock muffler and resonators, chip tune ( i believe it doesn't do anything major but it definitely made a difference) i can tune an ecu depending on what ecu is in the car. Im working on getting an Osiris/uprev license but i currently have a tunerpro rt license. I can only tune hyundais theta platforms and some of chevy/Cadillac 2.0t's. i can obviously tune any standalone but any factory ecu will have to be Hyundai or Chevy. It is possible for me to do email tuning but i have never done it before. If someone knows how to effectively data log then i am sure i would have no issues tuning from a longer distance.
@@kennyurdanofuall534 I really want to tune my 97 camry 3.0

that’s sick ! took the fbo 350z down . it looked like from a dig he’d get you every time , but the rolls you got him . what were you guys doing 30 , 40 or 60 rolls ?
@@That.V6.Altima loll yeah the revups are kinda crazy, we did a couple 20 rolls and one 40 roll i think. Dig races are just unfair with that z, man has 275's in the rear😭
hell yeah my man , welcome to the vq35de side . I have the same engine in my 3.5 altima , although yours sounds a bit more rowdy 😂 exhaust work I’m guessing ? I’m straight piping mine soon . what’s the difference between rev up and high rev models ? is it something you can bolt on .
i appreciate the comment man, the main difference in the hr's and the revups are just the reinforced internals. theyre both identical blocks and heads, but theyre mechanically diffrent. The HR has beefier cams that allow for more torque and power across the rpm band. the hr also has stiffer oil components because that was a major "flaw" in the revup and "normal" de's. the revup just has a more efficient combustion cycle, that could allow for a slightly higher rpm whilst bumping the power. The revups also have slightly reinforced internals, (mainly in the engine block) that helps it run more reliably. unfortunately` no you cant make your standard vq35de an hr or a revup with bolt ons.
also yes the exhaust is modified. I dont believe i mentioned it in the video but it has a massive isr single exit muffler, a isr mid pipe, and a stock resonator. the car is catless. most of the "rowdyness" most likely comes from the little placeholder intake i made. it sounds pretty damn good in my opinion
@@kennyurdanofuall534 okay I appreciate the explanation . so my next question would be , I can get a flash tune for my ecu and it’s supposed to remove speed limiter , rpm limiter and it adjusts throttle response . taking the rpm limiter they said would make it be able to reach 7,500 rpm’s before the CVT shifts automatically . that’s basically a “rev up” or high rev kinda yeah ? idk I didnt understand it completely .
@That.V6.Altima no its not a revup or hr😂 there is more to it my friend. The standard de already falls on its face after 6500 rpm so giving it 1000 more rpm wouldn’t benefit you in any way. The cvt is designed to stay in that power band constantly so it would just be a regular de with a high rev limiter yk. If you have the option i would just remove the speed limiter. Unless you plan on upgrading other aspects of the car (intake/fuel/exhaust) leave that rev limiter alone🙏
What did u do to make it run so well?
I'm curious as to why the 06+ TSX has a much more aggressive sounding VTEC crossover because its not nearly as loud it sounds more smooth on my 05

The poor Radiator Fan...
yes. the original fan clutch literally froze itself so the fan was spinning at the engines rpm... of course i didn't know that at the time but thats why it sounded atrocious on startup lol. car ended up being fine though
A lot of people don't realize how quick these high performance Toyota V6 are post 2004. V6!Camrys are one of the least known sleeper cars on the road. They will smoke a lot of cars they shouldn't and hang with cars they by all means should be destroyed by. If someone in a mustang pulls up to a V6 Camry, they are going to be sorely disappointed.
Yes bro I beat on in my 1mz-fe he was so salty
Idk, I have a '99 V6 5spd solara as a beater. Great, quick little car. A GT mustang of the same era in good repair loses a car length or two from a dig, but after that I get taken to gapplebees. Either way, super fun cars, and the 1mzfe is definitely no slouch in a camry.
Patiently waiting😊
Howdy just added u, nice work on your solara! Hey do you have an recommendation on me for my 2006 v6 solara im trying to get an intake system
Your best bet would be to try and homemake an intake using a maf adapter and 3 inch piping. You can also drill holes and make little ports for the vacuum hoses and pcv. If you aren't able to do that, you could remove the charcoal filter on the stock air box (little air filter that is designed to reduce noise) and put in a drop in air filter like a k/n. If your car has intake resonators you can also block those off. Hope this helps👍🏾
Spend your money elsewhere.
Try this again, but this time duel a supra
Alot easier said than done... Theres only like 1 other supra where i live at and some old dude has it
My brother's got one of these, its an automatic unfortunately but I'm thinkin about buying it from him anyway. Seems like a fun little car to wrench on and I've heard those 1MZ V6 engines were damn near bulletproof.
They surely are bulletproof and will last a very long time. If he offers u a good deal id say its a good buy👍🏾

What's a good brand of tuner ?
if youre talking specifically about the Solara, in my experience, the best thing you can do is get a piggyback fuel controller or a full standalone. apexi neo is the best "easiest" piggyback, but i genuinely just would not recommend tuning unless you plan on serious engine work or boosting it. there really is just not alot of aftermarket support for these older solaras.
Got Bad launch cause your washer fluid was low 😂
Yeah that damn washer fluid 😪. The bmw also does have like almost 300lbs of tools in it so i bet that didnt help the launch either
Wtf
On bro
Dang, that thing's pretty fast for a big ol' Camry coupe (Basically what this is).
Any 2004+ v6 camery is a sub 7 second 0-60 car. They are total sleepers that will smoke so many cars they shouldn't.
@@armylrs2391 Those "new" Camrys are faster than I thought. Heck, new cars in general are faster than I can keep up to speed with, and I'm only 19, I guess enjoying driving old cars does that to you.
i dont get it how does it make it faster? and what does upgrading coils do? thx
So the actual plugs are advertised to encourage more turbulent air in the combustion chamber, which allows for a more complete burn of fuel. Because of that, the engine can extract more energy from the fuel ignited and it isnt wasted in the exhaust. For the coils, if ur car is already modified, you can squeeze out a couple extra horsepower with a faster more efficient ignition cycle. they can also help save fuel.
🔥🔥🔥
Are those fake cvt shifts? (Idk shit about altimas)
Yep, simulated cvt shifts. I think you can make it tread the tach by putting it in 'L' mode but yeah
good video , definitely took a full second off ! with just 3 new plugs .
Lol, Yeah we will see how long this 'performance' boost lasts. Ive heard mixed reviews about these plugs, mainly having to do with the actual longevity of them. So far they are definitely doing good. Also the car is a v6 so i used 6 plugs, i just took a picture of 3 of them just for the thumbnail.
@@kennyurdanofuall534his mindset “now add 3 more for another second faster”
