And I also have f strongest passion for awesome dress decor!

Victorian daily life (or a 1860s walking dress)
Let's take a quick journey in the very beginning of autumn, the most beautifula and inspiring time of the year for every dreamer. Especially if it takes place somewhen in middle vicatorian times when the skirts was huge, the corsets was tough, but the style was romantic and gentle....
.
Wish you feel the atmosphere and aestethics that I wanted to show while filming this video!
.
Here I wear an outfit created during my #shelgiana historical sewing projects. IT represented the fashion of the first years of 1860s. This dress reacreates the very useful trend of victorian era, namely -- dress-transformers, which means that one skirt could have thwo options of bodices: for day occasions and for the balls. You can find more information about how it works in mu channel :)

A little more than a year has passed since the first stitch was made on this chiffon and now it is ready! Lady Mary's black and "colored" (at the same time) day dress from "Downton Abbey" is officially finished! I have to say, yes, it was a hard experience, both as for cosplay and as for historical reenacting, but I would never give it up! So what do we see here? . ⏳ a year of hand - embroidery...

Victorian Flirtation - The Language of the Parasol
มุมมอง 14K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Let's keep learning how to communicate using the secret languages of Victorian flirting! Today, the subject of our discussion is a parasol! . Unlike the Language of Gloves, Fan or Handkerchief (that I was talking zbout earlier), the parasol tongue could only be used outdoors. This imposed certain difficulties: the secret sign could not be read or the wind or any other accident could interfere. ...
Victorian Fashion: How to make 3 outfits out of 1 dress or Victorian Dress Transformer
มุมมอง 34K4 ปีที่แล้ว
How to transform a mid-victorian dress? . Transforming dresses were a very practical solution for victorian woman: The owner of such a suit could save the budget and wear it on different ocassions when a change of clothes was required (for example, to make an evening dress out of a day dress) Such a set formed a whole set of clothes in the style that the lady liked. It was a good way to use a w...

These are so innovative. Thanks for sharing this video.
🙂 🫣🙄😂 I'm born too late... I don’t know why, but you inspire me with all sorts of naughty things... ☺️😊🤗 Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to keep a rider rather than a wooden horse? Well, may you marry me? 💐🤗😍
It's worth noting the chairs were bigger then too.
Beautiful dress but no woman over a certain age would wear her hair down.
The information is great but the music is obnoxious.
Here from trying to learn how the characters from Etiquette and Espionage sit down with their dresses 😂, glad I could finally picture this in my mind
What are they? They seem like lovers 🤮🤮🤮
As if a high society woman is going to hug her maid…how absurd. What a ridiculous video!
Beautiful titanic inspired evening dress! Its my dream to also make such a beauty!❤
It's interesting, the handkerchief, the umbrella(parasol), and the hand fan which Victorian women used for flirting and other things, all came from China.

Anyone else here from lolita fashion?
Very old but long lasting
Facinating and interesting.
I have the same chair in white
This video was very helpful as I'm currently writing a scene where a character needs to undress in order to show her burns from a time long ago. Thank you! Now I can be accurate with all the description etc <3 Also, couldn't help but notice how you had Nightwish's Amaranth playing on the background lmao
Of course the servants would have had darker skin than that.
Heavens that's pretty
Skill issue, I just raise my legs to put on my shoes -A dancer who've never tried on an authentic victorian corset but would die to
The music makes this absolutely hysterical.
are these Victorian dress?
No, they are Edwardian inspired dresses dated about 1901-1910, right after the Victorian era.
I can't be the only one seeing this as a r0leplay scene from a k!nk perspective?
Thank you! A character in my current project is going to sit down in crinolines and I need to know how she's going to accomplish that without slapping everyone in front with her hem.
🪭❤️
Victorian elegant dress + Nightwish. What more does a man need?
i wouldve made a whole text about edwardian aristocracy, but this video is so beautiful i lost my attention.
Good.
omg i need to do something equivalent to this or I won't survive
Flirtation with the fan with white gloves Is totally charming.
If this is just a test, I can’t wait fir the finale! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
What a work of art!❤
Very beautiful!
How did women in the 1800s sit down in a chair?...They simply sat down
I agree 😊
God I wish style trends like this would come back, this was an every day thing and it was so elegant
Can I join you for tea-
I found an elliptical crinoline a pain because i'ts not even like a fully round one, because there is more going out backwards, the front of the crinoline cage kept wanting to hit my legs a lot at the front becuase the force keeps wanting to move everything backwards. no wonder they weren't in fashion quite as long. i can see from your video it's kind of doing the same thing.
Not just the dress and surroundings, but the mannerisms... ❤
Que vestidos lindos eu gostaria de experimentar amei o vídeo 👗👗👗👗👗👗

Cute 🥰
The Pistol fan reminds of a truck-bed camper I saw an ad for once. The truck-bed camper had a roof-top patio. I think they're both unicorns.
I would have loved to see the dagger fans opened up. The Parasol fans I think I've seen in Little House on the Prairie. The Pistol fan? 😱 One can shoot an eye out! Um, the fan with the thermometer scares me. The fans with the opera glasses, optical lens, and the monocles, I'm calling them peeping fans. I'm going to go put a tiny mirror and stylus on my fan now. Wow! This was fun!
Simply lovely. I wore a gothic gown vampiress of Versailles for Halloween. Definitely not as graceful, but I managed and got lots of attention. I wore stiletto platforms which might not have been the best idea for this type of costume:)
❤
bro wtf is using that rn
how do you store those dresses? I'm trying to make myself a ballgown with a similarly full skirt, but my previous ballgown got crushed from uneducated sitting (a situation I won't face with this new dress), and I don't know how to store the dress in my average modern wardrobe
The best way to store crinoline, as I see it, is not to fold it at all. If you have a large enough bed, you can place it on the floor underneath (you can also stretch it out a bit to an oval shape). But here's the second option. Gather the hoops to one side of the circle, pressing them together if possible. Tie this place with a ribbon and hang it on the wall at this point. Hope one of these will work for you! Although, of course, a lot depends on the material of which the hoops are made.
There is also a hoop bag to protect them also. I used to be a civil war reenactor. I used mine a lot. Off season it was easy to store it. I had a hook & placed my hoop bag up so no harm came to my hoops. 🌻💕🌻💕🌻
The background music you chose for this really complements the video and the outfit.
