    pace at which questions were raise was high and I felt very little room for the reflection on inquiries coach did. also asking, "are you saying you do what you dont love" was close ended question and was it it right way asking this?

      Technically, you have a valid observation, Sanjay. However, rapport, relationships, and trust with coaches play a big role in the way conversation flows. The same question can be viewed as a clarifying question. The pace belongs to a style that is different for every coach and even the situation, coachee, and environment. I absolutely appreciate your sharing your technical observations. Interestingly Coaching is full of nuances!

    isnt it at the beginning when you told bhavna to add or subtract 10 things from the current work to design for future is directing the conversation and forcing a solution? I don't think you spent time understanding her feeling towards the one in many. what she wants to happen when she is among the crowd? what makes her to think? I found the conversation is more leading towards solution.

      Thanks for your perspective Sanjay. Funnelling the conversation to support coaches focus on "what's important" is part of the coaching process. Leading is about pushing Coach's choice for coaches to agree on. Since Coaching conversations are deeply grey in nature such confusions are obvious. thanks for stopping by and watching the conversation, hope you could pick at least one thing from the conversation for you.     Rohit was good in explaining the competency 3. But I don't agree on one point. when Neha asked the question about what to do when the client says, "I don't know". Rohit says it is all decided when a broad engagement agreement was made and expectations were set. but during the conversation a Coach can not say, either sign mentoring contract or else you need to answer. Rohit should explain what as a client should do, what to ask, how to deal with this situation so that awareness is brought on the table. I think at that point in time, coach should have some questions as the reflective inquiry based on the story. or coach should support with some groceries to evoke the awareness of the actual problem or truth behind the story.

    I liked the Aha moments of the client. I am an ICF certified coach myself and yet to begin the journey. P.S - This isn't my actual channel/account. Two questions i have, if you could help me - 1. The client was a very confident person. Not many are like that. How about it when you are dealing with not so self confident clients? 2. When the client is going ahead with solutions, you have stopped her a couple of times. Why is it? I mean were you trying to probe more or focus on the issue more and see more alternatives come up?

      Thanks for listening to the demo. When clients are not very confident the first task is to build a bit of motivation for action to raise their confidence. You can also remind them of their past achievements and connect their strengths with current goal to raise confidence. Secondly the interruption was to stay focused and move forward at the same time. Hope that helps !

    Well said Sriram. Jaya and Abhydaya truly makes you look inwards like no other... the classes were more of discussions and the learning was fun and insightful.... I learnt a lot too....while there are so many coaching programs in the market, it was tough for me to decide, but one demo session was all it took for me to realize this is it....the last four months has been a journey like never before and I'm truly grateful to Jaya and Abhyudaya.

    Thank you for sharing the recording. One of the best books I have read on 'Coaching Mastery'. It was amazing to interact with Pamela. The metaphor that she mentioned on 'boundaries' just blew my mind.
