This game sucks
whats wrong with it?
@shygamertrm5891 its not an rpg
@@MaLAaY1Sanyou might want to check what an RPG game is, because this IS by definition an RPG game, just not a JRPG (turn based game). And it doesn't need to, FFVII Remake/Rebirth isn't either and it's awesome.
@@RichyRitencio what makes this game an RPG?
@RichyRitencio remake and rebirth are mid but Ill agree they are RPGs certainly. FF16 is a devil may cry clone dressed to look like an RPG but is technically an action adventure game in the domain of DMC or Bayonetta.
God for such a Pain in the Ass, this Eikon Boss Fight is so damn Epic!

GG bro it was fun this fight
Hey yeah this was some time ago wasn’t it. GGs mate. I actually took a short break and just came back to the game past week. Trying to learn Lidia now. Should play again sometime!
I love that he looks like Odin! My favourite Eikon! 🥶
I gotta say quickly that following this I’ve copied your build and it’s immensely more fun that what I was running. I was running a build that maximised stagger damage and while I was walking away with 300,000+ stagger damage it just wasn’t any fun anymore. Thanks for the help.
Hi glad that worked out for you. When I started the DLC I wanted to move away from the max stagger > Zantetsuken builds that became unfun by then end of my 100% play through of main game. Felt encouraged to play with newer / different tools especially now that we can save eikon loadouts.
@@YUXKE I will admit, that build absolutely saved my ass during the omega fight when it began summoning that back hole.
Shionne's so hot
I agree :)
how you get that illustration of alisa
Hi. This was a Tekken Fight pass reward earned just by doing the free pass progression. However, the 1st Fight Pass event ended on June 1st. Will need to see if this reward item is brought back in a future pass progression. FOMO at its finest I’m afraid :(
@@YUXKE 😞😞
What macro are you using for Dosis? I realized there was a cogwheel on it, but wasn't sure what it could be... Is it if you have to target someone you can hit that and it'll hit the target's target?
Hi. My Dosis macro is to ensure auto attacks are immediately running again when casting spells on a target, especially after dropping target to heal someone. I’ve had this for SCH filler spells over the years and made the same for SGE when I transitioned healer job in EW.
Wait that's neo from rwby
Yep! That was my reaction too when the match started. Kudos to the Lili player putting together that outfit!
Odin. This is a human sized Odin.
This is a blind run 1st attempt at the last floor. Don’t expect high performing gameplay here.
As I've always said: "A sloppy attempt is an effort nonetheless. If the day is done, it's a win in my books." I don't blame you if your dodging is sloppy and you went for a few greedy attacks - being out of practice will do that to a person. That's why I like to use the Training Area beforehand to get my skills back in check before I attempt the Kairos Gate. Always put in at least 20 minutes of practice so you're back in form.
I mean idk, at this point in the game you’d know all there is to know about his attacks which should translate to minimal mistakes.
Since you rely on Leviathan for evasion, I'd master "Diamond Dust" and switch Shiva for Titan, that way you have Leviathan for ranged attacks and Titan for defense. Odin wants to get up close more often, than using flying slahes.
Oh for sure. I mentioned to another comment -- this was a first attempt and blind reaching the last floor. If I were to redo the fight I’d have a skill or two swapped out and just wait and counter more intently. Not remembering what’s coming and getting punished for not fighting this guy since a year ago was not on the agenda at this time haha
@@YUXKE I appreciate it when games have a boss rush/boss selection mode like this, or DMC'5s Bloody Palace. You can train against bosses, learn their patterns, or try out defferent experiments. I for example, wouldn't dare to fight Odin with Phoenix, Ramuh and Garuda, that combination gives the fewest advantages against Odin. 😅
Just practice how to dodge normally yeesh
@@solracstormhunter3023skill issue, i am sorry.
@@solracstormhunter3023My combination is Shiva, Bahamut and Titan. The trick is use Megaflare as often as you can, punish with Permafrost as often as possible while relying on Titan to block most close quarters attacks. As for abilities, I personally like to rely on Impulse and Gigaflare for Bahamut, Raging Fists and Windup on Titan with Diamond Dust and Mesmerize on Shiva, or the occasional Judgment Bolt as replacement. All abilities I mentioned have quite the high Stagger rating and little time to execute, but to secure yourself not getting cheap-shotted, after an ability ends, you'll want to be on Titan and use the block right after.
Too clumsy. You get bodied at 3:05 for being too greedy, so the fight becomes a cowardly Will of the Wykes / Leviathan snooze fest to salvage the Kairos run. There are a couple more mistakes here and there that I am sure you too could realise on the fly, like wasting at a certain point whatever little was left of your Limit Break without recovering HP and dealing with a tense situation where getting hit could have been the end. Congratulations on completing the run though.
You are correct on all accounts. This was a first attempt and blind, and I just wanted to get it done. Performance is definitely barely serviceable haha, no arguments there.
Imagine taking the time to shit on someone playing a video game and posting their first clear online. Some of OP's early stuff was nasty, and it didn't really become a snoozefest. For a first run it was better than what most people would do. Also, nearly everyone who plays this game crutches zantsetsuken and diamond dust, who the hell cares if OP uses Wykes?
@@christopher_lorenHey, I don't treat them as a crutch. I only use that stuff with the Assailment Bit to maximize the full damage on Zantetsuken. Will-o' the Wykes, I'll admit, is a grace for if your dodging is sloppy and you're out of practice.
great finisher
New Ultima abilities are quite insane!
Bro I can’t believe this ain’t got 1 mil views that combo was crazy
This is pissing me off
?
I mean this respectfully: That was sloppy.
Was that a macro u used to get the name changed
Are you referring to player nameplates? There are in game settings to change how you want player names to display in and out of party, in and out of combat as well as in and out of duty. Unless I misunderstood and you’re referring to something else??
I was hoping that DiMaggio would do the voice acting. But it's also not bad.
I’ve felt the exact same way. While not as fitting of a voice, the acting direction is still spot on
This boss was so hard took my all day too beat it
I’m happy that it was a mechanical challenge to sink time into. Dps check and Angry Seas phase typically took most players several tries to get down and I feel like we’re all stronger with playing as Ifrit as a result of the encounter. Frustrating yes, but very rewarding to beat.
GGs, good mix ups and combo optimization
Oh hey yeah, this match was a blast! Could’ve gone either way :)
This game still overheat the ps5? Or fixed up now
I hadn’t had any overheating issues on my end. Mine is the Digital edition of the console
Either your enviroment is hot, you have internal issues or you really gotta clean your fans.
@@Bro-dot- ok, not only is the issue resolved and i now have a ps5 pro, but what the hell does cleaning my phone have to do with anything 😂
@@liquidsnake.7008 sorry i was typing on mobile and it corrected fans to phone for some reason Oh sweet that’s good to hear, also you like the ps5 pro?
First
I like the song
you suck
how long did it take you? did you do it in pf or as a static?
This was a 7/8 static. Probably our 5th full lockout to clear. We went super casual with it though so the lockouts were spread over weeks.
Clean fights man! Been looking to pick this game up too. You playing with Pad or Stick? Debating on which one I'm wanting to play it with.
Hi thanks! I play with GamePad on PS5. I’ve only played past entries on GamePad + console as well. You should play whatever is most comfortable for you. There are strong players equally on both control schemes!
Thanks, I was so worried about doing the quest, that I didn't really pay attention to the story, watching it again is great since we can't replay it
No problem. To be honest I didn’t realize the quest couldn’t be replayed, I just uploaded the last bit cuz I felt like it really haha
This was a fun race, but man we got Chocobo racing already in the game! Why not have a space derby similar to that?
If only we could’ve gotten a new chocobo racing map inspired by this lol. Too bad there’s no developer assigned to update that content since heavensward. Oh well
❤
so its the same exact fight as the extreme mode? I don't see a difference.
low key kind of boring and disappointing this is the best they can come up with for a "unreal" version lol
@@martinrose9794 Unreal fights since inception are meant to just be a sync up of an old fight to current max level. They are never changed from the original extreme. Due to an ilvl sync the damage and healing check are kept somewhat tight despite advantages of current day battle system changes. Unreals facilitate 2 needs in the game: a separate and lucrative reward system (faux hollows) leveraging the legacy of content in the game, and better syncing experience of an old fight. As it turns out, unless your a streamer then playing with half your kit and hoping you can grab bodies for syncing are quite a hassle for players not doing something like blue mage spell collections.
Ahh gotcha. Makes sense. So its like maybe going back and doing it closer to true min ilvl again? I guess I was thinking it was supposed to be like a "unreal"/ultimate version of the trial.@@YUXKE
Precisely :)
spell lineup?
For act 1 the spells I landed on as required were Flying Sardine, Ultravibration + a Freezing Spell (ie Cold Fog, Ram’s Voice, Northerlies), Loom, and Exuviation. For clearing the explosions I had Both Ends, Surpanakha, Quasar, and Phantom Flurry. I would have 2 or 3 of those saved for both points that mechanic comes up For act 2 needed Diamond back and physical damage spells for the Crystal (Both Ends is really good here as well). Everything else are up to you. I took some of the new spells added this patch just to get a feel for them too but they weren’t required.
This fight got me Blinded By Light.
i feel like i watched a whole goddamn movie holy shit.
Well done, how long did it take to prepare this clear?
Hey thanks! The prog experience for this fight was very tumultuous. Spent the first 4 months about 7 hours a week and many static challenges to get up to 50% of the fight up till timeloop. Had to go on a forced break for several weeks when 6.2 savage came out. Resumed prog with multiple concurrent groups, putting in around 12-14 hours a week for another month and half to finally clear in early December. So overall a little over 7 months, 5 and a half if omitting the forced break. Not as long as my UCoB prog when that fight came out but certainly longer than TEA when that one released.
Kirito Shuzaki: Well well.....
Well well indeed! Took us a few sessions to get this one down but we finally got it. One of our buddies still needs their BLU clear though so we’ll be doing this one again one more time in a couple weeks
game looks hard af
Luckily, thanks to the synthesis system you can make some pretty busted stat builds on your equipment to make things a lot easier in terms of damage output. The whole process though gets really expensive.
Nice work!
This looks doable, guides make it sound ridiculously difficult
Well at the end of the day it is just an extreme. Like all the rest, you’ll have a little bit of learning to do, but you get through it and think in retrospect that it was never as arduous as you first thought. It’s like that every single time
It also helps that extreme fights since start of shadowbringers have been brought down to basic clock spreads and stack groups on a new coat of paint for so many mechanics. There’s fewer unique things to digest about new mechanics in recent times for most fights.
This is how powerful we would've been if we got here before the squish
My initial reaction was "Godbert only has 9999 HP? That seems underwhelming." Then I realized that Godbert has 9999 HP as a crafter. With no gear on. As an additional note: you cannot actually die during this Solo Duty. All of the enemies do too little damage to Godbert to actually deplete his HP. That includes Lugae, which most people (myself included) probably won't even notice immediately because we're so used to the visual language of XIV. The rotating attack and AOE puddles are weak. The stack marker can be taken alone and Hildibrand even runs away from it if you try to share it with him. The QTE where the missiles drop stops time. Even Lugae's final attack when you're meant to use a Limit Break has no cast bar.
idk if u know this already but u can change your settings so it shows set 2 and assigns them to ur back 2 triggers upon a double trigger click
i use it instead of switching between 3 sets of sets because it makes it so i only need to swap between 2 sets it helps a ton.
@@pyn_rae Yes I’m aware since their implementation. My double trigger click is set for other bars I use for sprinting, teleporting, changing jobs, and a couple other things. Meanwhile I make use of extended bar setting inputs for my target macros (for my monk: gap closing), potions, limit breaking , duty actions, etc. I make use of extended and double cross bar settings already on top of single tap swapping between my 1st and 2nd cross bar. I don’t use a full 3rd bar during combat, only half crossbars via one of those inputs
I also prefer to just have one crossbar visible at a time (with one static hotbar for CDs) to be minimalist with my bars display.
@@YUXKE ahh i see thats dope
@@Derek147900 that’s pretty funny haha
Mad respect for doing this on Monk
Ty. Looking back my rotational upkeep was very poor but hey, it was an earlier period in the game after all.
You can't use a controller on monk!
Honestly, it’s just add phase that sometimes makes me feel bad as a controller player haha
@@YUXKE Seriously though is the full rotation doable on controller? I'm trying to master strafing while jumping WHILE doing the full rotation. I thought maybe with controller it might be possible.
As a console player since ARR launch I’ve only known how to play on controller. And I’ve been a monk main for just as long. So I’d say yes. I also like to toggle on/off lock on mode when hitting positionals to smooth the movement as well as for backing up into max melee range. You’ll want to toggle off when moving around for mechanics though. Lastly you definitely want to make party member target macros for the thunderclap skill. It’s very cumbersome to use that on controller without them, especially between the fast GCDs
The Damage.DAMAGE I SAY!
