Hi! Here's what I recommend to do: Apply the interfacing first. Then do the embroidery on the interfaced fabric panels and then assemble the dress. Just make sure the interfacing you’re using can handle the embroidery process. If you’re unsure, test it out on a scrap piece of fabric. Hope this helps you ♥

I didn't add 12 cm to waist and 4 cm to hip. I added only 3 cm with 1 cm ...

⁠​⁠​⁠@@marythedressmakerin you video you have formulas : 1/4 waist circumference +3cm, it means that you are adding 12 cm to full waist circumference ( 3x4= 12) . The same confusion with hips. It is very confusing, especially for beginners.

@@ornellam9052 Thank you for pointing this out! I understand how the formula might seem confusing and I'll consider how I can make this clearer in future videos. The additional centimeters added to the waist measurement in the formula are for the elastic waistband of the skirt, ensuring it can stretch over the hips easily. This added ease helps the skirt to be both comfortable and easy to put on. However, if you feel the added ease makes the skirt too loose, you're absolutely free to adjust it according to your preference and reduce or omit the extra centimeters. I hope this helps clarify things, especially for those who are new to sewing!
