why do people keep doing this tedious Petronas tower video theme.. its so freaking boring and clichés.. its becoming a liability for the rest of the Kelang valley conurbations..

Just connect you phone using the cable to the bike, when you have everything working and Android auto is up on you screen the disconnect the phone, plug in the unit and it should connect, im assuming that you already have you phone paired to the bike and its all working with the cable?
Ok well best thing to do is to look up the set up instructions on the Motorola site I did have a few attempts before I got it working but I remember having to look on line and it doesn't work with Apple only Android phones
Ok so I just updated my phone and had to set it up on the bike, so the way I did it was to set up the new phone to the bike, after it was paired and I checked that everything was working such as maps on the bikes screen, then I unplugged the cable plugged in the wireless adapter and it connected to the phone by itself and that is what the Motorola Web site says to do, hope that helps
Congratulations on your new bike. The wait sounds brutal and it sucks that you didn't get the red, but the blue is very nice as well. I like your upgrade!
No, not for me, I had forward pegs of my previous wings but don't feel I need them on this bike, I just stretch out my legs from time to time and can move around a bit easier on this bike, feel less locked on with this seat and the mini boards, im one one the few that really like the seat on this model
Hi Robert. Seems easier that way. Mate. Have you had any problems with the bike since you got it? Especially what you have to do to get to the fuel cap, with door not opening. Thanks
No the bike has had no issues, I know there is potential for that fuel cap issue so I have the modified lock catch that allows the fuel door to be pulled open if I even have that release button problem that other owners have experienced
I like to be able to easily look over a screen when it's in the lower position. How does the screen height comparein this regard between standard & VStream?
Ty for sharing now I have something to share with you . Instead of worrying about your phone battery dieing just purchase the wireless phone charger goldstrike has like this you never have to worry about the phone dieing in your pocket or in the glove department.?? It will make your life so much easier.
@@robertnorth6490 that’s annoying, I have an iPhone, I have located a similar device made by a company called CARPLAY2Air but have been unable to find out if it works on the Goldwing. BTW Wunderlich make a super little powerbank that would keep the phone charged, in the UK we can get it from a company called Nippy Normans
My phone lasts ok all day, including a few call and picture taking the fist day I tried it I actually took the second vid and up loaded it to you tube and when I got home at the end of the day I still had 20% left, just using the blue tooth connection doesn't use that much, the biggest power drain on a bike phone is have the screen activated, and that's not happening when it in your pocket
So I like the idea of this. My question to you is, I use my phone as my music (pandora) . this is connected wirelessly. Will this still work for google maps and pandora?
I use my phone for maps while riding using Android auto ( google maps and waz) while I'm listening to music using TH-cam music, everything works the same as if the phone is connected via the cable, it's exactly the same
Nice setup. I ride and blog aboard my 2018 DCT tour airbag and plug into the trunk as well. Like you stated keeping the phone charged would be the challenge. Nice video.
I have a AAWireless system on my 2019 Goldwing and equally like the convenience. The only difference is, I have placed a Y-splitter on the USB cable between the bike and the unit. For shorter rides I don't use the "other" side of the splitter but on longer rides I can plug in my phone to charge as I ride (I still connect wirelessly though; I find the connection is better than wired!).
Robert Please do a test with the Motorola without the Bluetooth headset switched on. I am curious whether you can still play music from the bike’s speakers via the wireless Android Auto. Thanks. Paul (2020 GW Tour).
@@robertnorth6490 to get around this, I bought a small Bluetooth speaker with microphone, plugged it into the USB power cable in the saddle bag, and connect it as a headset. Works great.

bit low shame you cant tilt it up! nice work nonetheless
I did tilt is back after the first drive, I realised I didn't need to get to the volume controller as I can use the steering wheel controls

Hello Robert, your bike is nicely accessorized, where did you purchase the fog light cover on the front of the engine I would like that also, thanks
I got those from aliexpress, they look and fit really good, cheers

Of what?
Oh man this rocks
Great waterfall and rainbow!! Thanks for the view
Robert, does the dongle work when connected to the USB socket in the left-hand pannier?
I haven't tried but as far as I know it won't, that cable goes to a different input, but I do know it is possible to swap them
I like to be able to easily look over a screen when it's in the lower position. How does the screen height comparein this regard between standard & VStream?
Me too, I'm about 5 8, I have the standard size vstream and it's good I can see over, they also have a shorter one
