Off road adventures, how to's, and basic shenanigans! My channel is all about my hobby, the off road life. Videos from my travels to trails all over the United States, upgrades to my stable of off road vehicles, and probably some good, fun, horsing around at the campsite and in the shop.
If you enjoy the off road life I hope you'll find my videos interesting and entertaining.

Tough Trail - Requires all of your Attention!
Chain Reaction at the Trail Hero is a tough trail requiring all of your attention to avoid being on your lid! This would end up being our last day on the trail and I think we made it a good one. This was a great way to finish out our trip to the 2024 Trail Hero.

Sketchy Trail! - Joint Effort
มุมมอง 18716 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
What was supposed to be a non-trail day turned into an awesome day on Joint Effort. Several sketchy places but it was a great time. Joint Effort has plenty of climbs, a few off camber sections, and some tight areas where rock rash will happen.
The Trail Hero 2024 - The Fallen - A Memorial to our Nation's Heroes!
มุมมอง 16114 วันที่ผ่านมา
The second day of The Trail Hero 2024 we tackle a nine rated trail and memorial to our nations heroes. The Fallen is an amazing trail that ends with a memorial to those service members who were killed in our Nation's wars. While the trail was amazing, the memorial at the end made the hair on my neck stand up. What a fantastic tribute this trail is to our Nation's Heroes! While this trail is rat...
Trail Hero - What it's like to wheel The Maze?
มุมมอง 82614 วันที่ผ่านมา
We open up the Trail Hero 2024 with an 8 rated trail called The Maze. The Maze is a great way to start off because it's not difficult and has some really fun obstacles. This trail is really good for full body Jeeps that are built. I like to start off on this kind of trail so we can feel out the terrain and get a feel for our rigs since we don't wheel often. As the week goes on things get progre...

Amazing machines. Good to see Casey and raggedy red
Wow!
Oh I like watching Casey
Thems some nice rigs
Thank you.
Wow, what rocks and ravens that y'all climbed.
Jeep Jamere cool
Another good video and you didn’t break anything
So far, so good!
This looks like that old hot wheels video
No seatbelt…..
Great eye...I didn't catch that.
Where did you get that hauler from it looks awesome!!
Bought it local from an individual. I really like it. This was the first trip.
How in the hell do u have 35' s on that? I can barely see the spare. My 35's are atleast half way up the window.
I can see fine out of my rear glass. Not sure bout yours though.
Man love the new hauler!
Thanks man…it was very comfy!
Wow a very nice rig! The video is getting more professional with each one. Looking forward to the next.
Great video! Congratulations on the big finish. Looks great.
Thank you!
Coming together nicely. Enjoyed the seeing the helpers
Whew, lots of work! Take a break. Good to see you making videos again.
this video just saved my weekend wheeling trip! thank you
Great to hear!
Any free camping? Or did you pay?
We paid for camping. I think you can camp for free but coming from Texas we weren't gonna chance it.
I was gonna say, I'm listening to that motor rev up, and trans shift down constantly during this drive, so between those 35"s and that shifting, there goes your mileage.....take yer foot out of it and drop to 33's, or just love stopping for fuel, grab a drink and enjoy the drive.
The fuel mileage really doesn't bother me. It's a fun Jeep, especially since regearing to 4.88! I really like the 35" tires on this little Jeep.
I just got some of these to keep in contact with my grandmother and I'm trying to learn how to use this thing what's a gmsr frequency
GMRS radios are those radios you can buy from Walmart. These little Baofeng radios are ham radios and according to the FCC they should not transmit on GMRS frequencies, that's why they come locked.
You are fully correct about the power up one touch feature is a ridiculous missing feature
What model rear bumper is that?
It's an LOD Destroyer. Really like it a lot.
How about model GM21?!
I don't have any experience with that radio. Is that the GMRS unit?
@@caseycrawls4466 my apologies uv-21 (pro v2), the box does say GM21 series
What in the name of St Andrews butthole it won't unlock.
Who did the regearing for you? I’m in Katy.
Sorry for the late response...I went to Insane Offroad. The owner, Tommy, does a great job. I've had to buddies get their gears from him with good results. Highly recommended. He moved his shop and is not located off I45 North.
The window button is a major irritant for me as well🤣
I know it's petty but I hate that!!!
If you don’t like button get crank up windows. It’s a Jeep not a BMW.
@@jamesknuckey1332 Let me help you with the point. If it can be one touch down, why could it not be one touch up.
It would work if you show which buttons are which you’re talking about 🙄
Damn that sucks. I know the feeling when I rolled my new Rubicon Gladiator lol
Yea I got a set of these tried on both and it does not say factory
Thank you sir..a prince among men you are
Always a project. Glad it wasn’t worse. Go cook those burgers Listen to the wife
I have the same tires and gear ratio on my 2024 JLRU… I’m getting about 15.8 miles per gallon… ( Mostly driving in M8/D8)…I think I would do better if I had mostly miles and miles or flat terrain, rather than the uphill and downhill that I constantly have to deal with here, in New Brunswick, Canada…
I've found that manual calculation is a bit less than what the computer says. I'm probably around the same as you.
Thanks for the inspiration, I'm getting more confident from video like this. How you you chose the overall axle length? Are you getting custom splines axles made?
I spoke with the guys at Branick to understand how to measure. This has been the most complex project I've done. I think even more of a brain teaser than building the buggy...or maybe it's because I'm getting a bit older! The Branick guys make it easy. If you are considering doing this I'd reach out to them. I finished my project and am about to wheel it for the first time in Utah for the Trail Hero. Really hope it stays together!!!
This was the only video that got it!! Thank you so much!!
Awesome!!! I have to go back and reference this video periodically too. Glad it worked for you.
Do you know if the factory reset stays or do I need to hold all three buttons every time I power on? After I got the factory screen and I turned off and powered on again, and I did not see the factory screen. Is there anyway to tell besides the factory screen that it has been factory reset or that it stays in factory reset? Thanks!
No, when I unlocked mine it was a permanent fix. No need to do it everytime.
Another person commented much earlier about gearing but I want to ask. Did you adjust the speedometer and odometer for the 35 inch tires? Your fuel economy numbers don't add up. 75 miles per day for 3 days is 225 miles. 225 miles divided by 15 gallons is 15 mpg not 17.5 and that is if the tire size is true to the miles. I agree about the fuel tank size. I have a ( 4 door which in YHO is not really a Jeep) and my fuel tank is 18 gallons because I have the diesel engine which requires a 5 gallon DEF tank. So, is the smaller tank a 2 door Wrangler thing? You have 35 inch tires that are much heavier than stock tires. You have it lifted which means poorer fuel economy. You may not be displaying the correct miles and speed driven because of the larger tire size. You have had it 15 months and have only been off road about 4 times? Sounds like you need to have smaller tires for a daily driver. Just MHO.
A few questions to unpack...for adjusting for tire size, yes. I used the Tazer to adjust for the larger tire size. For fuel tank size, every time I run it down to where it says 0 miles to empty I can never get more than about 15 gallons in it. To be fair, I've never run it empty where it quits running so maybe it'll keep going a good while when it says 0 miles to empty. As for tires, yeah, I could have kept the 33" tires but I think proportionally it looks a lot better with the 35's. I daily drive this Jeep and have no real complaints about the 35" tires. As for wheeling trips, well, I wish I could go much more often than I have. I have three Jeeps and I don't always take the same one. Headed to the Trail Hero with my buggy next week. Haven't wheeled the "green goblin" since March.
So if I put 35 on my gladiator I needed to re gear
Yeah
You certainly don't "have to" but I would.
It's 3:30 in the morning here too! LOL. I am on travel in Japan for work. Jet lag is a bitch.
Why not mount the winch right after you install the winch plate while it’s completely accessible?
Hey man, I have seen you on the trail eyeing Red Dot's. Just pull the trigger and find one to buy!! FYI, my 14 bolt front steer axle has 4" OD tubes and and a shaft diameter of 1.550" with 2" of splines. No need worry about a sealing surface as the shaft is all the same diameter. They are also 30 spline with 35 spline outer shafts.
why don’t I understand any of this but love watching Casey do his magic at 3:30 in the morning
It would be nice if you were zoomed in a bit.. we don’t need to see your tool boxes and white board.
Not even close on mine
Упс 😂
Just finished towing a load of white ash. I was at or slightly about 2000 lbs. Took the back roads keeping it at 60 or less and was careful in regard to stopping distances. It was fine but I could feel that I was "at capacity." Plenty of power but stability was at its limits.
They can perform tow duties but they don't like it much. Mine did pretty well pulling the jet skis around.
New subscriber and a like button!!🔥🔥🔥
what about on the freeway at a steady 70 MPH ?
sorry for the late reply...not bad at all. Getting up to speed you'll certainly hear it but once you are in 8th gear it sounds no different than when you have a muffler. Maybe I've just gotten used to it.
That Jeep could pull as much weight as an 18 wheeler if you need it to. But can it stop it? The towing capacity is about stopping the load you're pulling.
Yes, its stops well.
I'm glad it passed the "ultimate " Test!! 🤓 I've been shopping around for exhausts for my JL 2 door manual, and your video helped my along in my decision process. I'm leaning towards a muffle delete kit too.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I almost bought a manual but it was sold before I could get it. Enjoy the Jeep and good luck with the exhaust.
