In this episode we eat on the REST that was coded into our DNA at creation. It is the norm these days to go, go, go and hurry, hurry, hurry. In fact, not only is it the norm but we boast about our schedule to keep and how hard we work! But, when is the last time you considered how important it is to REST? If it was important enough for God to REST after 6 days, then shouldn't it be that we do t...

In today's episode we eat on this word YIELD, which means to slow down, concede the right of way, and to give up the advantage. We know what this word means when we are out on the road, but how are we doing with this word when it comes to life? In today's 44, we look to the life of Jesus and how He was "Master Yielder" in the way we Yielded to God and Yielded to People.

Congratulations on the birth of your child! Sounds like you have a wonderful support system!
Thank you @dougkoonce5139!
I would suggest that at least one lesson be presented that clearly shows the differences between the body of Christ and denominational religions. According to God's word we must preach to save people from false religions. Generic or compromised preaching may sound good but it does not save. (2 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 John 9-11; Jude 3).
Hi there Mike. Thank you for listening and for the suggestion. It is indeed a very important part of all that should be taught. We've covered that several times on The 44 through several episodes but would never mind doing it again. Would love to speak with you sometime about your passion for this particular topic to be addressed and try to understand where you think The 44 is missing the mark. Feel free to reach out anytime at jedyancey@gmail.com.
In times like these we should reach out to save souls from all man-made religions. What has happened to straightforward, uncompromising, and eye-opening preaching of truth? Why are many of our pulpits fields of compromise instead of battlefields between truth and error? (2 Timothy 4:1-5; 1 Timothy 6:12).
Helpsme in my Spiritual growth n my faith grows stronger

Which commentaries in your library do you find the most accurate and beneficial? Also, which translation of the scriptures do you find most accurate when compared to the original languages? Thank you.
Blue letter bible www.blueletterbible.org/ is a great resource for commentaries as well as going back to the most accurate translation of the scriptures which is the original. It will give you the original word, definitions, other places in scripture its used, etc. Many beneficial tools on this website.
Love the song and which I could sing it one day if I can get the copy.
Great thoughts to begin the day..thanks Jed. May our hearts be pure! 18:41
Are there any preachers in churches of Christ who will just come out plain, simple, and in a loving way to name the "many churches" so anyone who wants to change and know God's will can make the right choice? Please tell us plainly which ones are right and which ones are wrong.
Thank You
Great topic great presentation, my opinion, less than 5% real Christian.
@ 0:54. So what you are saying is that God has a lot of things He wants us to do to be saved? what a way to discredit and just ignore the finished work of Christ at the cross, what a way to step on the Blood of Christ that was shed for the forgiveness of ALL our sins....wow
Hi there. Thank you for your comment @brohuggie2978. We'd love an opportunity to speak with you about your question. Please reach out at (352)629-2413
Thank You
Very good thank you
Thank You
Lesson starts at 38:27
Great sermon
Thank you. Kind of makes me think how important it is to sometimes we need to go back to the basics in order to move forward with our journey. Appreciate the time concerning a very important matter, rarely if ever does it cross ones mind. Some may find this topic unimportant hmmm maybe even boring, yet it's significance is actually life changing, life enhancing if we can simply learn, program ourselves to pause in quiet reflection. Great tool to help increase ones faith and trust. Many are afraid to look into themselves, the very place we need to go sometimes. Thanks again C Bowser.
No sound for todays service 28:23
Omgosh! Outstanding, an amazing slow walk about a very important matter. Amazing presentation and strong power points unheard of before. Slow walk meaning taking time to highlight or emphasize important facts. The best ever heard, needs to be a Sunday morning lesson for all the souls to hear. Thank You. Sorry to write a book! With purpose to kind of explore, see for myself how some of the large progressive gatherings, worship and sing(they're definition) I was quite taken and quite saddened to witness so many takers. In all 3 venues of one the preacher had to entertain, a lot of humor. All 3 had a live band with no less than 5 musicians. Stage lights, sometimes flashing like a disco. Being a drummer wanna be with my new/used 12 pc set, I focused, enjoyed, was caught up, almost mesmerized by the skills and sound. Yes the entire performance was sort of moving in it's own right but not right. Then the spirited applause. At one gathering I was quite taken by the young beautiful shapely lead singer who should have worn some modesty but didn't. Huge distraction. Anyway, forgot we were supposed to be singing songs of praise and worshiping. In sharp contrast, wether a simple prayer, or on the knees, public worship prayer, or when singing songs, what works for me is doing both while it's only he and I alone together, makes it more personal. Thank You, Chris Bowser

Thank You, these are so great, inspiring, therefore helpful. With u looking into the camera almost feels like a one on one. As a hardcore news and political junkie, ( it is both scary and depressing) I realized I devote more time to that than God's word, that's gonna change for sure in 2024. Gotta find the right balance to satisfy my need to stay informed. Lastly, has inspired so many things to say, of just one, gonna go back and watch every one of these. They make a difference so again thank you. Chris Bowser
Amen, Thank You, great food for thought, even felt joyful after watching. Actually wish it was longer! In fact today was just another typical day until this lesson. Again thank you. Chris Bowser
Thank You, some very good points worth revisiting and needed

76 week watched on December 15 2023. First, look forward to more. 2nd in all my years (am 66) have never heard those two paragraphs (warnings) in rev preached, yet I have used them often when I try to introduce the Bible. Was so pleased. Thank You. Christopher Bowser. I plan to visit this church family soon.
Thank you and we look forward to your visit with us!
Hallelujah!!
Amen. The Gospel is the good news cuz anything and everything else is really bad news!
I would add that it speaks to the efficacy, sufficienticy, totality and finality of the sacrafice that was so freely given by Jesus Christ and the blessed hope in these truths so we might persevere in conforming to His image and share this with the downtrodden and lost.
Why can't you stream live on TH-cam? I thought you used to stream?
I like the transcript which can carefully be read and eternalized.
