Jeremy Brown came home on leave and he brought Ryan with him, we spent a week hanging out, showing Ryan a good time. We took him to canoe the Elk river, shot Jeremy's Father's guns and just had fun drinking and shooting the shit. He was a kind, well spoken, respectful man that was a blast to be around. We first met at a bar and ended up playing a drinking game while watching the Olympics and got soo damn drunk we got cut off from the bar tender. It was a shock when I heard the news, he was the best us, he was a real man that knew how to be himself.

I learned about Ryan from the novel "The Outpost" Having served in Afghanistan myself, I understand what these guys had to go through. I have a huge amount of respect for all of them. Rest easy Staff Sergeant Fritsche.

Also as a member on this trip I can tell you there were very few people playing 2nd and 3rd parts that brought their instruments to the pool and water is not good for sound quality, it is more tradition than to sound good.

Oh lord the Purdue marching band is huge! and amazing! Id be too afraid to swing my trumpet around like that though.

My dad's side of my family knew the Fritsche's. The day they brought him home from the airport is a day I will never forget. That procession is the most powerful experience I've ever witnessed. God bless. RIP Ryan. I am now serving with on of the soldier's from the Honor Guard in Germany.

Unfortunately I never met Ryan or his family, but my my dad's side of the family knew them. I remember the day they brought him home from the airport. The procession down SR67 was the most powerful experience I've ever witnessed. I am now serving in Germany with one of the soldiers that was on the Honor Guard detail for his funeral. God bless. Stand-up drive on an ASL is horrible.... I drove one truck with that setup and hated every second of it... guess no one ever considered that the driver is going to be standing for the entire route without doing a whole lot of moving.

what i hate is that when i go i get tickets from scalpers, so i dont get in till a few laps in :( i never get to see the band or back home again in indiana!!!

I drive a McNeilus MA. Figured out that I can also double dump 2 60gal toters, one 90gal + 32gal toter. I tried seeing how much room I'd need for 2 90's, and the hopper is about 1.5ft too narrow to it. I'll try and get some vids up. This time though, I'll make sure I do it w/ a camera mounted on the truck instead of trying to multi-task and getting in trouble.

Pretty cool, I can only do that w/ 2 32gal toters, cause my ASL's arm doesn't go over the body, just right to the hopper. So I only got a 5ft span, or I'd love to try doing it w/ bigger toters.
