Alpine Ibex Hunt - In the Heart of the Alps | Camino Real Hunting Consultants
Considered as the King of the European mountains, the Alpine Ibex is surely one of those species that will blow your find when you see them for the first time.
Distributed throughout most parts of the Alps, Austria and Slovenia are the two only countries where hunting (free range areas) is allowed, although considering the way in which Slovenia manages its permits, Austria is the only destination where Alpine Ibex hunting is feasible from a logistic point of view.
But Alpine Ibex is not just about the animal itself. Hunting Alpine Ibex in Austria is about the strong tradition around hunting that continues from generation to generation. A tradition that holds an important place in the culture and hearts of its people. It's about conservation. But beyond anything else, it's about respect towards the pursued prey.
