Sarcoma warrior with metastatic sarcoma of the bones… only bones so far and a Mayo patient currently.
Thank you for a much better understanding of liposarcoma! Question: can you give an idea of "slower vs more agressive" timelines for well- vs de-diff sarcomas?
Thanks for all you do.
Thank you for the information. I have been diagnosed with "well differentiated liposarcoma" in a tumor surrounding the left kidney. How do I find out which hospitals treat the most of this type of cancer? I am aware of list of NCI designated Cancer Centers. But is there information on the numbers of patients for each hospital?
Very good talk. Dr. Dickson says it is important to have a good pathologist determine what exactly type of sarcoma prior to treatment. This is so true, the wrong treatment could cause more harm. Thank you, Dr Dickson
Hello there. Since 2 years I’m fighting with pulmonary artery intimal sarcoma. Well it’s a challenging thing… I’m after open-heart surgery, chemo and then re-surgery (because of recurrence) and just finished radiation therapy. Keep fingers crossed, thanks.
Thank you kindly to all
PET scan or CT scan…which is best to reveal a liposarcoma tumor?
Both can be useful for liposarcoma. Typically CT scans are done for the lung or abdominal region. Also, insurance often requires CT to be done. However, the decision to complete CT, PET, or MRI depends on multiple factors and goals of what you are doing the scans for.
