"He wants to do a transatlantic". I just got off the Escape (Barcelona-Miami reposition) a few days ago and though it was amazing, there were maybe only 20-30 kids and teens on the ship. Crossings are not very popular with sailing families. On the other hand we were around 350 solo cruisers (mostly UK, Germans, Americans and Canadians) so bars and parties were lively (to say the least!)

Seems like a good two years coming up with all the cruises. I hope Josh can come along on most of them, depwnding on school. How fun that you will be doing a groupcruise on VV, luckiky a longer one so should be beþer for both your livers 😅.

My other half and I were on QV Nov 19th to Dec 1st just recently and only a few doors down from yours. My first Cunard experience but I’ve been on other cruise lines. I agree the room was dated but perfectly adequate and I did spend quite a chunk of time in there as I got the flu mid cruise! Loved the food but did feel abit intimidated by the dress requirements for gala evenings. I feel it should be a choice rather than expectation as I’m not one for dressing up. But the Lido buffet was good as an alternative. Hope you guys enjoyed your cruise. Don’t think I would cruise Cunard again prefer a freestyle environment but a beautiful ship nonetheless.

Informatie video guys....my partner and i have booked the Athens Istanbul cruise for next October with a 3 day add on to cappadocia. Can't wait..Can I ask did you get or notice any attitude regarding your same sex partnership? Me and the husband dont expect a problem but i suppose given the older age demographic negative opinions may be more evident. Kind regards Derek..

You had an awful experience there! Just a total lack of care from management. I know what you mean about people hanging around outside, someone wanted to fight me as I entered after a night out and that was enough to never return there.

100% agree with you about the Crystal Room. I just don’t get it; its such a beautiful venue, they seem to use it only for about 20 people to ballroom dance in every night! Also agree with you re: Iona - we have done 5 cruises with p&o ventura, azura, britannia twice, and this year we did Iona, & absolutely hated it. It was literally Butlins on Sea; the food was abysmal, we didn’t have a hot meal in 2 weeks. The cost-cutting as you say, is blatant. So we return to our beloved Britannia with some trepidation. This is the first year since 2018 that I havent booked with p&o the following year, and I am browsing Cunard, Princess, and Celebrity for us to try elsewhere. (We onlynsail from Southampton which seems to restrict us with sailings) Which would you recommend? Xx

I always stay overnight before a cruise or a long haul flight but I must admit I only stay in good standard hotels and I am happy to pay that extra premium to stay in them and have never had problem and I have been travelling for many years. To be honest I would not stay in a low budget hotel.
