@@park171 If it would have had all of the SRX patches that were in the Fantom X, it would have been a hit with all the extra stuff 🙂
@@kimdiez2681 yes. The timing was off for Roland as they moved on to develop the supernatural and then later Zen Core. Last week I had just sold my ARX 01 & 02 cards. Now my Fantom G legacy has come to an end.
@@park171 I'm playing my FX right now and I'm still blown away with the patches in it but yeah I do have all 4 slots with SRX cards installed and the keyed alone is worth keeping this one !!

I don't have a computer. I bought the MPC ONE PLUS and bought expansions but don't know how to get them on the MPC. I'm screwed!
I would like to see an MPC KEY XL.... 73 or 76 keys with a 10 inch tilt screen. They could sell it for around $3200...... i think i might buy that! 🤔
It looks like the Force workflow fits you better. Because I believe that what you are trying to accomplish can easily be done by using clips. You can install our Hakai firmware to test it out on your MPC. And if you don’t like it you can simply roll back to the official firmware..

montage m is more for to work in a DAW and got better sounds over all

Is just usb to usb straight as an any keyboard midi controller or it would need a sort of midi mapping ? I might gonna try one a small drum pad I have to hit the drums with a drum stick sometimes and get different flavours. I love your videos man, real educational with this awesome machine, obrigado!🙏🏽
That sounds really good. I think keygroups will have a lot of potential in MPC3
Hi, the expansion packs sounds great. I just bought my MPC live 2 and will be purchasing these packs. Do they install into the MPC like the other expansion packs from Akai?
Yes they do, there will be a folder that’s automatically generated by the MPC desktop software. It’s called “Expansions” I have a video on the website that walks through the process. You can always email me bycorrell@gmail.com if you need further guidance. Thanks Ben
I want one because I hate subscription services and always having to upgrade my plugins when I get around to upgrading my OS or get a new PC. I also don't like latency.
Are the fx part of multi-samples or they from using the mpc’s plugins?
The FX are all programmed in the channel strip. They can be totally edited or removed. Hope this helps.

Hi Ben , 3.0 looks great , I imagine they’ll get the bugs out with this beta program. I would like to see an External Monitor Port , HDMI ? Would be nice to see the new 3.0 software on a big screen 📺 Thanks for sharing!

Wait these sounds! Whoa, your making actual sequences on an MPC in standalone ? WOW. I've always avoided this because I never thought my X or Live could handle it. Those samples sound incredible!

The fact is its free why are we all waiting? I would like to use it and put my 2 cents in. I am so sick of watching all these guys talking about a few weeks it will be available.
Ben, Back when MIDI came out we only had 16 tracks/channels and we used program change to change a track sound to another. Seems to me that's be the logical way to do that in MPC 3.0!?
It really handles midi well, although i personally moved away from using external synth hardware..

Agree with this. Is there a date of full release of 3.0 for the MPC?
No. But I would think between November and January but the beta testing that’s open could help move things along for the gold master development. Don’t want Akai to rush things.

I get what you're saying and things change but a old saying if it isn't broken don't fix it.
I believe we are at the last of the era of the current generation MPCs. I have a feeling Akai is going to start replacing each of the current MPC models with new versions containing updated hardware, faster processor, more ram, etc.... Maybe the MPC X SE and Key 61 will be around for a while because they already have 4GB of ram, but I have a feeling the MPC Live II, Key 37, and MPC One will be updated with newer 4GB ram models. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the MPC One was dropped altogether and replaced by the Key 37. I can see the Key 37 just being a better overall option for the entry-level price point because it is still very portable and it already has a keyboard, whereas an MPC One plus external midi controller makes for a clunkier setup. I think the Key 37 should be updated not only with 4GB of ram, but also with an expansion bay for an SSD. It only makes sense considering the fact it is a keyboard and the new 3.0 software has a disk streaming feature.
It’s the low powered hardware that has handicapped the potential of what ever they have planned. The cheap dsp reverbs low audio track counts will be upped, perhaps MPC will be the Muse of the future?

Mpc studio is a controller, but using the mpc desktop software, you can use 3rd party expansions…

You can play chopped samples from the Keyboard but only after they’re assigned to a Pad.

Good video and valid questions. I made a live stream about MPC 3 yesterday and the only concern really that I have is if we’re gonna have to use the touch screen way more than on 2.0. I hope not as one of the reasons I like the MPC is to be more hands on and get away from spending 99% of our lives looking at screens lol.

The fact that the stem plugin needs more juice says everything. Akai is about to bring the juice. Plus, Roger Linn is lurking around.
Yes. I hope they are a bit more aggressive. They’ll likely use hardware from 2 years ago rather than current hardware.
Great question, I believe the software is delayed because of the new MacOS (we know how it goes with Macs). Akai is definitely doing a public beta to ensure the new hardware launch is smooth. The new hardware will be a beast being able to handle warping samples and stem separation better in standalone. It will have to offer multiple USB C connections one for connecting to the software and the other as an interface connection to sent 16 ins and out. All hopes, but for sure they will add some APC64 features.
This sounds crazy but I would love to have the 64 pads as in the Akai force.
yep, simple example, the edit programm button is confusing for new people since there are no more programms to edit, only trracks. Akai wants to release new hardware with the proper writing above the buttons.
