Akai must release an update to plug a usb mouse in the mpc. Because it makes the workflow for the 3.0 just better and less navigating with your hands on the screen.
The X6 sounds more natural and and has a nice midrange, the G has more low but not as natural on the instruments.
im not a super fan of this feature only because I should be able to load multiple sounds then change it between the ones I loaded but this software you have to load to a new track which doesn't leave the option to a/b sounds on the same track they need to fix that
Thanks for this. I'm just getting up and running with my MPC. Where did you get the guitar expansions?
High thanks for checking in, here’s the link. bycsounds.com/product/la-guitar/
Drums got no kick & sound has no dynamics but workflow is great, but i rather stick with my mpc 2000
why does this guy sound like todd mcfarlane 🤣🤣
Do you have any of those sounds for sale?
Great video! I'm having to make room for all my vintage gear so I'm selling my "Dad Synths" (the workstations). My Fantom X is going back to the guy I bought it from. However I love the sounds in the Fantom X - especially some 3rd party sounds I have for the Fantom X. Will the 3rd party sounds load up in the Sonic Cell?
I say buy now while you still can get an OS that works. You can buy a new MPC once they get all these bugs fixed. I had beta 1 for a week and a half. Reported bugs and downgraded. Had beta 2 for twenty minutes. Report many of the same bugs and downgraded. I’m in no rush for MPC 3.0 considering Akai never fixed some problems for 2.x.x. I’d buy the new hardware and OS but It’s likely I’ll use the older hardware and 2.15.1. I think the new software will run better with the new hardware.
How do we save the custom drum kit?
Amazing studio!
Thanks. You’re not going to believe this but I have eliminated almost 95 percent of all that gear.
Very good video. I absolutely love my Kronos. There's a lot to it, that's for sure.
I no longer have my Kronos. It’s sort of complicated to understand but I had too much gear at the time, I sold most of my synths and have settled down to what make me most efficient.
@@park171 That's fair enough and makes perfect sense. There's not a lot of point in having equipment that isn't getting used. I've had different bits of gear over the years that I've since sold. Now I have just got one hardware synth, the Korg Kronos and everything else is in the box, which suits me fine.
Owned both and get both if you can
I have one. It's sinful that there is no Android support. It's really a pain in the rear to navigate and edit, although Apple cultists have a solution. It sounds wonderful, but Roland really fell down on this one. What a way to orphan such a beautiful piece of equipment. I can see copping out on the Dolby surround out, but, overall, it's kind of a mess
You can get a super cheap iPad and it will run the app.
@@park171 Will Roland reimburse me for their shortsightedness? I'd rather not sell my soul to the dark side....in order to use one program.
More juice, better screen incoming.

Thank you the the rundown on beta 2. I'm waiting to upgrade unti they impliment the ability to change time signatures again. Currently none of my projects in odd time signatures are loading properly which kills my workflow. I'm hopeful you are on to something about then reworking how time sigs work overall on the mpc ecosystem because it was also clunky. Thanks again!
Hey man.....I still have my korg padKONTROL. I haven't used it in years, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it. The light show on that thing is so cool!
Pad kontrol has great sensitivity
Thank you!
Good point about a new hardware coming out that will integrate perfectly with 3.0. I just bought an X SE, and I might return it and wait for the next generation MPC.
you'll have a long wait, in my opinion it is not worth it, current MPCs with the full 3 release will rock it for years, have fun today and tomorrow will come eventually
I’d love to use Beta 3 2 but my plugins don’t activate?😢
I think that's a bug. I submitted a report for that. I have to reactivate my plug-ins every time I boot up.
i can't see the inmusic page on activation tab, loading stucked with attempting to connect to network
There's just way to much useless spam to even enjoy your video!
I'm sorry, wait, are those multisampled instruments? 😮
I was looking for my track length Q-Link and it was gone 😭, but the track name made me stop crying like a little b*tch tor a few second until i encountered the 10× load time increase for large projects.
Tracking is still there.
Interesting…
Hi Ben, which do you prefer- the mpc x or the mpc key37 , and why?
The Keys 37 provides the physical and psychological workflow of a portable workstation. At least for me it fills a creative vibe that sometimes is needed. That’s what is nice about the Akai Sandbox. The MPC X really is the full experience mainly due to the 16 Q links which fully provide Akai screen control layer. So both Machines are great but not absolutely necessary.
Do you render final tracks through your Apollo, or do you also use other outboard gear?
I do not use the AU much, I stem my tracks direct to audio. My back end process involves Studio One. MPC is a midi front end to the DAW
I tried to call you! Wrong number I was Told!
Send me your email. Bycorrell@gmail.com
man i always wanted an integra 7. probably shouldnt tho, as i already got a full rompler. thanks for the video tho
Integra 7 is amazing and horrible both. Actually Pre Zenology. The XV engine was not really replicated in the area of the DSP. Due to the scene architecture. It’s too bad. I’ve had the I7 two times and not do not have it at all. I’d rather get a XV5080 or XV5050 or even a XV2020 before buying an Integra.
@@park171 interesting. most of the sounds i heard on the integra 7 seemed better than the 5080 via youtube. the articulations on some of the sounds like brass sounded fantastic on the i7 and the resolution seemd higher. never heard either in person tho
Got any workflow tips for quickly adding sample layers?
I’ll post some, at this point 3.0 dose not support round robin but 8 layers would be useful for some programs.
❤😮❤
Your drumming is on another level. Great job
Thanks. What MPC are you rocking?
@@park171 I'm fortunate to have an X and a Live II. Great devices

All I want is my mpcx to do anything other than 4/4 😂
Yes
punchy
Can someone tell me why these machines have their own Internet connectivity but NEED another device to download sounds. I'm low-key a little miffed at this.
Before the internet connectivity download management, the MPC was dependent on MPC desktop to move content and in some cases convert files such as expansions but now it’s has moved away but not completely to allowing the MPC do be dependent but not completly dependent using the Wi Fi. It’s at a stage of confusion
New MPC should have 13" screen, 8gb ram, keyboard and pads. and Bluetooth that can capture audio from the web, like TH-cam or whatever.
MPC KEY 37 :Q-LINK EDIT= SHIFT+Q-LINK BUTTON
I have to get your Expansions, your pianos sound amazing.
Thanks, I’m still testing the 3.0 firmware. There are issues as you may know. It’s a Beta of course
I'm ready to try mpc 3.0. Thank you, Ben
hi Ben great Video... imagine to set all mpc stuff to play live. Any time I hit a "song" of the setlist i will get that message "load up wil erase bla bla blahhh" ??? Any way to avoid that? thank
Loading a new project will always prompt that message. On suggestion is that if you save the current project before you load another set up. There’s another way but it works best in control mode due to have access to more ram. It is possible to have each sequence utilized for whole songs. So entire set could contain many sequences, each sequence being a full song. When MPC 3.0 gold master releases. You be able to disk stream some “types” of audio which can also help save ram. I’ll make a video on this topic.
I’m beta testing but most likely will revert back to 2.15 when they fix all they are going to fix in 3.0. Minus the bugs, 2.15 works well enough for my workflow. If I wanted to work with a Force, I’d buy one. If I wanted to work with a DAW, I’d use the ones I have a license to already. This is great for new people and those who enjoy the quality of life upgrades. For me, it’s not particularly special and creates issues for how I like to work.
I’m using beta but not for production reasons but to acquire the muscle memory btw, new hardware and new features are likely to move the MPC platform into a different direction. That said. I’m going to just enjoy the current hardware and the basic 3.0 firmware. But I don’t expect it to last long.
This video is gonna make stay on MPC 3..Thanks alot🙏🏾🙏🏾💯
There are issues but it’s a beta so I’m not trippin. I’m trying to embrace the new direction of Akai. Do not buy any of the current MPC models now. I advise to wait for the first new next gent hardware stack and then make your decision.. thanks for your input.
Hi Ben. Live2 here, and I love the 3 workflow so far. So many good features, but… time signatures selection has disappeared. If we’re locked to 4/4 (like the Force), I’ll be looking for a new device. I’ve filled a bug report, but have I missed something obvious? Do you know if it’s possible to have 3/4, 5/4, 7/4 etc in MPC 3?
It’s has I had asked Tube Digga last month and he never got back. I encourage you to submit this request. As I will inform Akai
Hey Ben - when you adjust the filters on the synth, how do you keep it from reverting to preset setting when you "play start" or record
You have to save the setting and depending on the synth it will either save and overwrite the current setting or you have to write it in the User Bank. Uggg.
@@park171 was playing around yesterday and it seems like a potential workaround is recording the pattern first via midi, then adjusting knobs on setting after, and then recording that sound as a sample via sampler. does this sound like a good workflow to you?
@@park171 also the only other thing i’ve noticed is the mpc pads sound slightly different than the chords played directly, it almost sounds like the mod wheel is on a bit. trying to figure out if this is purely velocity related :)
I've been testing mpc3 on my live 2 and it's been amazing so far so I'll be installing on my mpc x se also today
It’s so easy to go back and forth to 2.XX and 3 beta!!
Ben, what's the disk streaming process? That should be a time saver too. Could you maybe show that in a future video?
I will. Thanks for asking. There’s so many small “Akai Force” features that are now In MPC. As far as keygroup disk Streaming, it’s a no Go 😆
