I used to fancy Ann Diamond so much! God I'm old 🤣
How'd they get the Cybermen costumes?
WunderBaR ❤
You should be able to upload the tapes to other sites, even if you have to resort to Orange TH-cam.
Nice to see included, the clip of ( I Remember Nelson ) during the catchy song Elstree Remember me, as I worked on that scene as one of the Gun Crew, and Joanna Lumley came in the Studio, as she wanted to see the amazing set they had built for us to Act on, ( half the ship) interestingly she was wearing the same blue clothing seen in her clip on here, and we had a nice chat, it also looks like my car parked up in the Arial shot ,it was a rare colour and I always put it in the same place when I worked at the studios on productions, and I still own it.
If nobody told you you'd never know, just a brilliant performer, and so very cool
Thanks for posting this up. I had been looking for it for awhile now. Great stuff for Blake's 7 fans. So many of the old crew are gone now : Paul Darrow, Jacqueline Pierce, Stephen Grieff, Chris Boucher, Gareth Thomas, Terry Nation and David Jackson.
Thank You for this. I had taped it on vhs.
Those suits of armour worn by the mercenaries were originally used in the movie Excalibur!
It's weird how when compared to the somewhat "woke" society we seem to live on now. As much as I hate the term. What was considered funny back then in the 70s and 80s primarily consisted of raunchy sexual comedy. Even Spike and Thora didn't mind a bit of blue. Gotta feel sorry for Greg.
"Gay, I'm not even f@cking happy" 😂
2.30... oh my gosh! Well I wasn't expecting that!
Were these only shown to staff, eg at Christmas parties etc?
The BBC and ITV companies had a network of vision and audio feeds run by BT that were used to send live and pre-recorded programmes around the country. It became a tradition at Christmas to send out the “Christmas Tapes” to each other “down the line”. At first these were mostly out-takes that had been “saved” from being junked by enterprising VT engineers. Some of these then formed the “Aunties Bloomers” and “It’ll be alright on the Night” TV programmes on BBC and ITV. The more racey stuff wasn’t intended to be shown publicly, and the BBC especially took action to stop VHS copies leaking out to the public where a black market had developed for people with the right connections to get copies of these tapes. The actors Union - Equity wasn’t very happy with some of the stuff that was being copied and both ITV and BBC had pretty much totally clamped down on the unofficial tapes by the end of the 80s. It also became a bit of a competition to produce material specifically for the “Christmas Tapes” that was never intended for public viewing and would be shown to small private groups, or larger parties, dependent on the material 😉
Jimmy Saville... worm
Terry Nation was a genius. Survivors The Walking Dead in 1975!
Riveting stuff.
Oh my gosh Emmerdale, that was awesome. 😂😂
Massively underrated show that would still work very well now. So many of the themes are still current and, with a suitable update to the effects technology and cultural setting, I am sure it would be a massive hit for a new generation. As Servalan would say, ‘Maximum Power!’
1:47 is that Rik Mayall?
Yes, first series of The New Statesman outtakes. Somewhat surprised to see Eve Pollard talking about pubic hair I must say.
Yeah Yorkshire TV made New Statesman

I LOVE BRITISH BANDS, AMERICAN SONGS, BRASILIAN SONGS, FLAMENCO, ARABIC, INDIAN SONGS ... WONDERFULL SONGS!🎶✨️💎
Ian Dury was just awesome, it's so bad he passed away when he was still relatively young.
You can feel it was a different and relaxing time back then
Wha..?

Sweet Ian Dury, young, and old, and gone. :(
I would say the German minister has what today we call PTSD.
However did they manage to make this sow's ear of a series out of the silk purse of Price's wonderful spy novels?
I gave it 1m 35s before heading to the comments to see just how awful this was going to be. 90 minutes saved!

Brilliant. Thanks for posting this on here! 😆
We need British TV series like this because whoever like to improve managerial communication English skills they can watch and listen more and more TV series…
Sin Roger murieron.
Was this put on the telly?
I remember seeing this at Christmas on TV. I was at art college at the time and thought it was great. Wasn’t there a bit in the cathedral?
Hello, just came from ep 4 of The Consultant. I will be back to watch this, check comment on ep 4. Thank you.
Robin of Sherwood came out in 1984, the background music for both shows is very similar. The topline is the quirky music here, but the bassline is identical. Mostly likely same musician. Might even be the same composer. Hywel was a wonderful actor. Looking up his work (in UK that wasn't released in the US as far as I know) and watching. Thank you.
Really enjoyed this & first time viewed. Hywel Bowel was a great actor who, like a lot of his fellow thespians, nudged the turps too much for his own good. The BBC also produced another series on computer fraud a year earlier in 1982. Bird of Prey. Very similar with some great journeymen actors.
No ending
I have this 2 tape set on VHS.
What a treat
great. thanks very much.
The best thing about watching this version is that the bad sound makes every scene like it's taking place in a server room 🙂
Thank you
Thank you
This series is awesome! It's a walk down computer memory lane. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Excellent thank you
