Funny Thing is, in other countries (germany for example) you litteraly couldnt shoot the civils. Like shooting them results in you "dieing" with the friendly fire message popping up. In the remastered Campaign, theres also a option to skip the mission all together (i dunno about the original tho). Thats cause of censorship in other countries.
