    Is there a way to delete an AB within a field or rename an existing field?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the display the easiest way is to delete the field and this will delete the guidance lines in that deleted field and then you can start a new field with new guidance lines. Another option would be to use software program like AFS Connect or PLM Connect which is free to upload all your data too and delete guidance lines and be able to edit your field names. Then export data out of program and reload back into display after deleting all the old Grower, Farm, Field data out.

    Is there an option to go back down the same line in the opposite direction for when using a wick boom or weed wiper as rushers need wiping in both directions?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is one disadvantage with freeform. Using a curve or straight lines you can reload line in field as use for other passes.

  • @prairieman123

    Can anyone help me make a line for a headland that is not straight. I have headlands the weave in and out around telephone poles and curved in different ways. How do make it follow does the headland swath allow me to record a not straight line? When I use free form it always loses my line whenever I stop… please help.

      Try select curve line or use headland pattern. Naming your guidance lines can also help.

  • @jonhofstetter4120
    @jonhofstetter4120 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Identical curve maintains guidance line parallel to your original curved line. Think of it like an AB line only your following a curve. An adaptive curve will adapt to where you drove previously. If you are following a curve and you drive to avoid an obstacle it will remem er that an adjust subsequent lines there after. Hope this helps.

    Hey John. Thanks for the video. Just got This and using your videos to learn how to use the equipment. I like this option but I’m curious, if I wanted to plant soybeans in a diagonal direction using headland option, would that work to adjust the inside lines? Or say it’s a square field just to stay simple, could I select the A point in one corner of the field, continue around the headland, but once I got to say a diagonal corner approximately 45 degrees, could I then set my B point and have that diagonal line?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can set your A and B point wherever you need to which if done like you said would give you a line in a angle. You also have the option to select A+ for infill this allows you to input a degree heading and may be more exact in getting the angle you want.

  • @martiniliev35
    @martiniliev35 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh, thank you! I'm new to the system and I thought it would literally make the lines identical and at some point they wouldn't match the field curve. So I just assumed I had to use Adaptive curve or Freeform. Now I would for sure love to try it with the spreader. But then what exactly is the difference between Adaptive and Identical curve?

    Hi Jon, does it make any difference to the recorded area if you expand boundary half swath width or record on for example boom right ( assuming anticlockwise travel) I am guessing that either will mark the outer edge of working width and therefore the field boundary? , thanks, Rob .

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If set on expand half swath width when recording a boundary it does put it at outer edge of implement no matter which direction you travel. That is were I set it to record a boundary. Now if you have a boundary recorded then expand half a swath width I would have to double check that to see if it increase field acres compared to what was originally recorded.

    One more technical question. First i set up field boundary. Then i set up AB line on boundary. Will inline be dependant on machine width? So does The navigaton create different lines for seeder 3m and different one for sprayer 24m?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes lines in field are based on implement width. If you come back to field and load your original line your spacing adjusts to you different implement widths.

    •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonhofstetter4120 so, I can go to create boundaries with 3m fertilizer and go direcly on border and in same drive set up AB line?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, just keep in mind your gps repeatable accuracy. May have to adjust lines on lower level accuracy.

  •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi @Jon is it possible to straighten the line in few tracks? other question is - how to go every third track?

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the headland pattern when you switch infill it is a straight line. Generally speaking you can start in a freeform pattern and transition to a straighter line this is a last pass pattern. I hope I understood your question if not let me know. To do every third pass you can count your lines on screen they are numbered. If you have a 20 ft wide implement and then go back over field with a 60 ft wide implement load the same field name and guidance lines you used with your 20 ft implement then your line degree heading matches right up. Your GPS accuracy plays a role and rtk signal with 1 inch accuracy works well. When doing this start a new event to have a clean screen to start with so you get a coverage map for that specific pass in field and most importly when controlling a rate and running automatic section control.

    •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonhofstetter4120 not exactly, my question was how to avoid reversing tractor. I have 10ft seeder and would like to go every 4th line of guidance. sorry my technical English is not as good as id like to be

    • @jonhofstetter4120
      @jonhofstetter4120 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure may need more information on reversing tractor. Going every 4 guidance line you could count the lines or go by swath number accross bottom of screen. If you are centering on every fourth pass you could set up a 40 ft. wide guidance width. If you are matching up to original lines or a tram line you may have to shift your line to match up with previous passes in field. Sorry I misunderstood your original question. Hope this helps.

As long as everything is working good no need to update either. if you need it www.triangleag.com/250_page.shtml download from above website and put in root directory on a usb drive 4 GB is a large enough drive much larger and display may not read drive. power on display and insert drive should get yellow screen with firmware update. ***** Not yet. I have been going with the customers in the field to do this. Weighing four loads whether bin fills or truck loads and checking moisture and checking test weight seems to work really good. Taking full header widths with your average travel speed while harvesting is how we have been doing it. Using Side mount moisture sensor is key also at this point. If switching between crops make sure to save calibrations and it doesn't hurt to weight another load after switching.

    I would try running WAAS first and see if it is accurate enough for you. A good option right now is to do a Rangepoint RTX demo. It is a more broad accuracy and would be a good place to start. When it comes to row crops (corn) that is when I would recommend a higher accuracy of Centerpoint RTX or VRS/RTK. The basic thing to remember is the more accurate you are the more overlap you can eliminate. High accuracy pays for itself.

    First save all of your client, farm, fields onto USB Stick if you want to reload some of them into display after deletion if not don't save any. Go to settings, data, manage data, internal, delete data, delete selected fields, cleint, choose all. Then hit green check, then green arrow. Then green check again. You should get hour class and fields should be deleted.

    Good suggestion if I have time this winter I may be able to. It is something that you can do yourself. When you have a field opened go to guidance tab on right side of screen and then press either nudge right or nudge left. The more you nudge the line, meaning pressing the button multiple times, the more nudge you will get.
